“They're my go-to when I don't feel like cooking. Plus the family loves the variety and it's like 2nd helpings the 1st time at a reasonable price. Thanks you guys.Parking: The parking is limited but it's full because of the customers.Kid-friendliness: My kid loves the Mac and cheese and meatloafWheelchair accessibility: It's wide enough for wheelchairs.“
“JenChan’s is one of my favorite restaurants! The food and cocktails are delicious. I have not had a dish there that I didn’t love. The margarita pizza, rice bowls, and ginger margaritas are my favorites! Not only is the food amazing, the service and employees are absolutely wonderful. A 10/10 must try restaurant!“
“Sunday Brunch was really good. Chicken was seasoned well and waffles were light and fluffy! Owner had an awesome spirit about her. Music and atmosphere was on point. Our waitress was a swertheart,, I forgot her name but she had a boot on her foot! My son loved his rasta pasta... and he hates everything!!!!“
“I never give 5 stars but this place has been so consistently good over the years that I have to give them their props. Never a bad meal. Never a bad service. Not once have I left disappointed. Well... There was that one time they ran out of fried green tomatoes ... But that's it. My faves included the breakfast enchiladas and chefs omelette. For sides, the aforementioned tomatoes (try it with the Lemon Pig table sauce, sooo good) and salmon croquettes which tastes JUST like my mom's. The menu is a combo of truly unique and tried and true so it's a crowd pleaser. It gets really busy on the weekend. They run specials like this local trout plate (cooked 1 of 3) ways with a side and biscuit or cornbread. A whole fresh trout. I had mine blackened w grits and a biscuit (ask for lemon wedges). Fantastic!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu“
“I went with a friend for lunch. It was busy, but we could get a seat within 5 minutes. The food was fast and came out in less than 10 minutes after we ordered. In total, we spent $60, which included tax and tip and included two entrees, a sharing dish, a side, and a drink.I got the hash, which came with eggs, bacon, and deliciously melted cheese. The potato hash was crispy yet soft on the inside. I also got a side of fried chicken, which was scrumptious. How can you go wrong? Fried chicken, melted cheese, and bacon.“
“Outstanding! Simply outstanding. From the waitress, who knew the entire menu backwards and forwards, plus drinks; to the food-multipe apps and the curry seafood (amazing). Finally, the Fuji apple for dessert. Best thing I've ever had for dessert and top 3 meals I've had. The space is very cozy and not loud, staff are great. Must “
“Fantastic food with great service. Had the perfect cashier who was excited to do his job and made us laugh. Only complaint would be the fact that me and my friend ordered the same thing but his had much more coleslaw than mine which I would’ve liked. Overall a great experience and perfect atmosphere for a lunch with some friends.“
“The food was amazing and delicious and fresh and creative , and I say tasty. The service is spot on and attentive and personable and caring. The atmosphere was vibrant with a lot of energy, and I'm getting old, so forgive me for this, but just a tad loud.It is fun and get your reservation soon.“
“Date night was our objective with our preferred Caribbean vibe. The vibe was much different than it has been in the past, though doable. We weren't especially impressed with the upcharge for the "a' la carte" sides, though the presentation & food prep were overall tasty with ideal portions. The Rum Punch was authentically ddddelisicious!!! Great service, dining & liming atmosphere!“
“I wish I could rate this place higher!! Haven Restaurant and Bar is such a gem. I dined here for the first time last night with friends and everything was simply phenomenal. I had the Grilled Beef Tenderloin which was absolute perfection. The beef was cooked exceptionally well with the perfect amount of salt. The whipped potatoes were nice and buttery smooth and the spinach was the best spinach I've ever had. It was packed with flavor and the bearnaise sauce accompanied everything so well. We also tried the new Grilled Artichokes which were delicious. The ricotta really put it over the top and again, was seasoned perfectly. The staff was also top notch! Our waiter was fantastic beacuse he was so kind and professional and knew the menu back and front. The brunch manager was still there and he was also amazing and so nice. I live an hour away but will absolutely make the drive to come back again very soon.“
“My fiancé and I LOVE Georgia Boy! If we could afford it we would come every month. The service is fantastic, wine and cocktail list is unique but best of all the food you will have is so unique and creative and delicious! I don’t know how they come up with the ideas but they are so fun. You must try Georgia Boy!“
“This place receives a stellar review in all areas. The staff was very attentive and nice. The patio was open and the atmosphere was a special kind of vibe. We ordered the deviled eggs and Southern Fried Chicken & Country Skillet Cake, which is easy to share. This is definitely on my list to become a regular!“
“We were staying in the neighborhood on a trip and wanted something to eat for the family that wasn't burgers or fried chicken tenders. This place was great! All the sides were hot and tasty and it was a great value for us and our kids. Plenty of parking as well.“
“Here is an unoriginal take; Secreto is the perfect name of this place because it is the best kept secret in Brookhaven. I have literally never had a bad meal here and the "Community Hour" menu is such an incredible value that it is borderline criminal. The chef is super creative and the specials are always on point, the only "problem" is that the regular menu is ALSO always on point so it can be hard to decide what to get! Big shoutout to our favorite server there, Brittany. She always takes tremendous care of us.“
“Me and a colleague visited for lunch on a Thursday. The service and atmosphere was amazing! The food was good but not as good as I was expecting. The sweat potato fries were really good but shrimp tacos were just okay. It was missing something. My colleague did enjoy her grouper and coleslaw. I would recommend this restaurant!“
“As you can tell by other reviews the food/vibe is on point but what makes Folk Art a repeat option is the valet service. The valet people are great, especially Aaron. He does an amazing job of making us feel comfortable leaving our keys with him. It's a really good feeling being able to enjoy our brunch without having to play the "beat the parking meter game" or worrying about if our vehicle is safe or going to get booted. Honestly, can't say enough about the guy, truly is a scholar and a gentleman.Again, food and restaurant service has always been an A+ but the valet option makes Folk Art a regular repeat option.“
“The food was fantastic. Thomas, our server, was also great, he refilled our drinks any time they reached halfway and had a very friendly personality. The vibes and music were perfect, specifically would like to mention that the music kept me energetic, while not being too loud to socialize. The drinks had a perfect mix of champagne to OJ, mostly being Champagne. I enjoyed this spot a lot and would definitely recommend. It does start to get busier around noon if you’re looking for a more upbeat setting.“
“I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“
“Food was great...we were worried Easter weekend would be full but no problem getting in....me and my friends love the grits and biscuits, we always leave there feeling happy because it is our comfort happy food place! Clea, Le, La ?We will return!“
“OMG this place was so good ! We went for brunch though I ordered their Caesar salad and she crab soup. Both were the best I’ve had in a while ! The croutons in the salad were actually fried grits which was a delicious twist lol. 10/10 would recommend!“
“When we arrive we didn’t have reservations. It was definitely crowded. They told us 30 mins but it was actually 15/10. So we set down the service was fast. We order two appetizers the salmon bites and lemon pepper wings. Everything was bussin bussin. For our entrees we order the lamb chops & short ribs those were so delicious. I would come back when I’m in town.“
“A hidden gem for sure!! The food is the ABSOLUTE BEST SOUL FOOD I’ve had in ATLANTA! We enjoyed the salmon, lamb chops, greens, Mac & cheese, yams, and honey corn bread. The greens were PERFECT not requiring any condiments at all! The salmon and lamb cooked to perfection and the yams and Mac & cheese didn’t disappoint. Honestly it was all soooo good!! This is great for day or night date or with family/ friends. Our server, E, was attentive, friendly, and best of all informative on the food and drinks!! The music and atmosphere were a nice adult ambiance to enjoy laughs or even still chat with those you are enjoying your meal. A definite return and a definite must visit if you haven’t been yet! You’ll thank me later ☺️“
“The food was delicious. Service was great. Only downfall was that I was too loud for me. I wanted to enjoy the delicious food but sitting next to the bar was too loud. I would definitely go back during the summer and sit outside. We had the winter menu definitely try the jalapeño cheese beer soup. It was an amazing suprise.“
“First time here, we came for lunch on a Sunday. We started with Chicharrones. They were fresh and well seasoned. We ordered the Pitmaster platter to share. They were out of turkey so we subbed xtra brisket. Meat was lukewarm and felt like “leftovers” vibe. Ribs were dry. Pulled pork, sausage, wings and brisket (if warmer) were the best. For the sides, they were out of the jalapeño creamed corn and collard greens so we got the coleslaw, green beans, Mac, and potato salad. These sides were alright. Coleslaw was the best imo. Green beans tasted canned and lacked flavor. Potato salad had too much mayo and lacked flavor. Mac lacked flavor and when heated up later was very oily. There were a variety of sauces, Alabama (liked), house (liked) Red chilli pepper (liked- kind of a spicier sriracha), Hot mustard (too vinegary for me)I’d go back to try other menu items but not really the best first impression for me.“
“Quirky little place with good food, friendly servers. Prices are decent quality is great with adequate portion size. Highly recommend bring out of town guest, or to treat yourself.Kid-friendliness: Kids will be entertained by the wall decor. Have them count the flying biscuits.“
“You are always greeted with a smile the second you enter the building! My family and I visit often enough that they let us know we're missed if we miss a few weeks. The food is well seasoned and tasty. Always hot and fresh! It's a great alternative for a quick hot meal. The prices are affordable and the portions are large.Just go... you'll see ☺️“
“Awesome place for brunch. Never had a wait. Service is impeccable. Food is amazing. Unique menu. Our favorites are the banana foster pancakes, grits, biscuit, breakfast burrito. This place has turned into one of our go tos!Vegetarian options: Mostly tofu-based alternatives but there options that don’t have tofu in it.Parking: Limited parking however we have never had an issue when we come. Depends what time you come! When it’s crowded during brunch time, it can be worse.“
“It be a hit/miss here but for the most part its a hit. Esp if i keep returning. The chicken is so good. So are there sides but when doing take out it seems less compared to dine-in but im still full and it wasnt bad. Todays visit neg would be the ice/drink machine. Everytime it does take a while for the food to come out, like everytime, so i finished my drink and asked if i can grab some ice and put in cup when i walked up to that ice machine i was sooooo grossed out i said theres NO way i will get anything to drink here. It was sooo filthy and disgusting i couldnt do it. It looked really bad. Besides that service is usually great and everything else. Im sorry i shouldve took a picture“
“Although I have never been to the restaurant, the catering delivered to our customers' office was fantastic! I look forward to our next meeting so that I can order again! Absolutely, everything was wonderful and memorable! Quality, fresh, healthy and on time delivery.“
“Really Enjoyable Meal. Vibe of the restaurant was good-comfortable yet trendy. Every dish we had and tasted was yummy. Notable favorites- scallops, grouper, and fried chicken. Price point is good for this caliber of restaurant. Can't wait to return.“
“Delicious food, tasty cocktails, and great service in a casual neighbourhood atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Seems like they’d welcome families.Wheelchair accessibility: One floor, no steps, table seem big and high enough to accommodate needs.“
“This was my second time at this restaurant. Both times were pretty good experiences for the most part but this visit was better than the first. Each time I ordered veggie plates. Two on the first visit and one this visit. Everything was delicious this time. The first visit I didn’t care for the dressing or the Lima beans. When I was in there this last time I overheard a more frequent customer talking to the person she was with saying that some of the food be a hit or miss. I was a little disappointed with the strawberry cake because I asked the young lady was it boxed and she said no…. It definitely tasted boxed.Overall, good experience. Will return and would recommend.“
“We eat here about once a month for many reasons. It's quieter than most restaurants. I bring two hard of hearing senior adults and we can actually have a conversation while we are there! The waitresses are always very quick, friendly and attentive. And the food is fabulous! This time I had field peas, broccoli casserole, cabbage casserole and green beans. All was very tasty, serving size good, and it comes out so quick! I love having this sit down restaurant in our area!Parking: Much more parking in the back!Wheelchair accessibility: I bring two people in with walkers, no problem.“
“I’ve been coming here since it opened. Went today craving the wings only to find out they weren’t on the menu. So I ordered tater tots and mac and cheese. The tater tots were great and amazing fried food. But dear god. The Mac and cheese could not have been more of a dumpster fire. Trying to cover up the runny bland sauce by adding waaaayyy too much garlic is not the answer. Please don’t serve this ever. Like ever.“
“Mark and I dine here sporadically because it's convenient to our house and the food is a crowd pleaser for everyone in our group. Parking is free and easy if you arrive early. The indoor dining area is dark and tavern like with tables and wooden booths. It was freezing cold outside and we enjoyed being seated in a booth towards the back. Televisions are mounted around the dining area making it easy to watch a variety of sports with the volume at a reasonable level. Service can sometimes be a little slow but the crew is always friendly. On this visit I ordered the crab cakes and Mark ordered the grouper sandwich fried. We also enjoyed the wine and cocktails which were good and reasonably priced. My crab cakes were decent and a little bland however the provided dipping sauce spiced them up and my fries were hot and delicious and the coleslaw was cool and crisp. Mark loved the grouper sandwich and his delicious tater tots. We like this place for casual dining and can show up in track pants and casual after doing chores at home.“
“Great new place - that already feels like it's been there forever. Service wasn't perfect (forgot a couple of things that we had ordered), but it was a very busy Saturday night, and the waiter was very friendly and apologetic... And the food and beverages were excellent!“
“I’ve been to their Kennesaw location multiple times and absolutely love it. I tried this midtown location for the first time today and unsurprisingly the experience was just as excellent. My go to is the oatmeal pancakes which are hearty and delicious. This place really gives off a homey sunday family breakfast atmosphere and I’m convinced there is nothing bad on the menu. The service was great and I wish I had the name of my waitress today but she was excellent. Very kind, and on top of it. To top it all off, I mentioned to her that despite having been to the restaurant multiple times - I had never tried one of their famous biscuits (my go to order “drops of Jupiter” doesn’t come with one) my waitress then gave me one for free even after I paid my check…and it lived up to the hype.Well done to the staff at this place and I will for sure be a routine customer.“
“The crab cakes with spinach side special was delectable. Price: $38. I thought it would be a great place to meet with a client as people online said it was a quiet place for a good meal; it's almost impossible to find quiet restaurants in Atlanta! Why is that?!Unfortunately, it was extremely loud inside the restaurant, likely because it is popular as the food is so good. I had to raise my voice to be heard by my client, who was sitting two feet from me across the table.Other than the noise issue, I really enjoyed the meal. The waiter Sean was pleasant, accommodating and efficient. I enjoyed the look of the restaurant and feel of the restaurant. It was a delightful culinary experience.“
“Stopped in today for the first time and the place was Joplin which I expect is normal on a Saturday morning. I ordered Hashed Out and it was pretty good, and my boyfriend ordered the Kickstart breakfast. I also had a side of Fried Green Tomatoes. The FGTs were some of the best that I ever had and I would rate those 5 Stars…I will say that I felt the prices were pretty high, and that will prevent me from going back. $7 for 4 slices of FGT, $16 for Hashed Out and I think $14 for the Kickstart and then $7 for the waffle. The drink menu looked good, but we stuck with coffee and water.“
“The food was awesome. James accommodating me on my first order for my team. Our boss treated us to lunch and we chose Soul Food. It was excellent. We ordered ribs, meatloaf, catfish and oxtails with a variety of sides. Thank you James for help Top Notch Assistance!“
“I got to say hands down, this place was worth every bite. I'm a trucker so I typically eat truck stop food. I happen to stop to do my DOT reset at the Pilot 2605 Bouldercrest Rd, Atlanta, GA 30316 . Which meant I was here for a whole day. As I was about to order Wendy's. I decided to just do a quick google search to see if anything was open. Just so happen to find this Amazing place K1 & Des Southern Spoon. Just so happen this place was open 3pm to 3am, I decided to take a walk to see what they were about. It took me less than 5 min to walk there from the truck stop. Boy was it woth it. I literally ate there 3 times, in the time of being here. So if ever in the area and you hungry try it, you wont regret it.“
“I love this place. Their menu is so good that anything you have hits the spot. I've never had bad service, which is impressive because I've gone at all hours and days. It they stayed open late, they would run all the Waffle Hpuses out of business. People are awesome, food is stellar, and I love how they are moving to a community style eatery!“
“I believe our waitress name Dee she was sooo polite & patient! She picked out my food && drink and both were on point ! We visited from NYC. The music was good, food SLAPPED! All of the staff was so friendly. Shoutout to Jayla too she was lit with us all “
“So this is definitely something that's off the beaten path but it gives a really diner type feel to it. The prices of decent and very reasonable. Definitely do it. They have lunch and breakfast, so you can come at the very top of the day or come and lunch time but they do close after lunch time so you have to get there at a reasonable time. You come in in there a bunch of diner tables there so there's plenty of seating. There isn't anything outside but there's plenty of side. It gives you a cafeteria feel when you do get there. So you basically stand at a long window where they have the food available for you to pick from. But mostly if you come, you'll order and no make it made to order and back style. But the lady who served me rush me a little bit but that was only because they were five other people in lie behind me. It's not really Pat, but they were jumping in line. It did not dissuade me. I was able to get a regular breakfast sandwich (croissant w/ sausage). Which was pretty good. Nothing flashy, but a good sandwich. Warm bread, right off the skillet. I also tried the hot link sandwich which was also great, much better than the basic sandwich. It was a little messy, but, very worth it. Came with hot link and bacon with egg and cheese, it was a winner. I should have got that before I got the regular breakfast combo, because that was just OK. I got a breakfast combo so it came with your choice of sausage or bacon, your choice of hash brown or grits, and a bread. That coupled with eggs, expect a really full meal for under $7. The hashbrowns that came with it seemed like they were more soggy than crispy, and so did the bacon. The eggs were... egg lol you cant really mess those up unless you burn them. Overall I would stick with breakfast sandwiches from there. Maybe next time I will try another sandwich (lunch) or french toast. Will I go back to this spot? Absolutely. Just that semi greasy cafe spoon type feel with good food, I am here for it.“
“Been coming here for years, tried almost everything on the menu. It is FANTASTIC every time. Genuinely some of my favorite sandwiches I’ve EVER had. Their sweet potato fries are god tier, and their sauces?!??? Soooo good. I don’t know why I never thought to leave a review until now, but I just finished the chicken bacon melt and it was so good all I could think to do was leave a review. Love u guys, never change <3 will support until the day I leave GA lol.“
“The food is good southern food. I've been going there for several years. They have a great variety and the food is always fresh. I especially like being able to get a meal with 2 meats and 2 vegetables instead of just 1 meat. I especially like their chicken fingers (fried upon request) and their meatloaf. Give them a try if you haven't already.“
“Have visited this restaurant weekly over the last several months after being referred by a friend. Recently they started charging for what was once complimentary bread. The service has become poor over the last month, our waitress seemed distressed and definitely wanted us in and out.“
“As one of the only restaurants on property, this place has to hold a heavy burden. That burden is well carried here! The onion rings are spectacular, and when I asked "How is the coleslaw?" Grace responded, "Honey, there ain't nothing to that stuff, get the onion rings." She was right! Those Onion rings were TOP NOTCH! I personally had the Commons Double-Stack Turkey, (great, the meat was delicious and the bacon cooked perfectly, with texas-toast and fresh lettuce and tomatoes.) and I had the salmon BLT, the fish was delicious and paired well with the Garlic Aioli. The setting is beautiful and overlooking the lake at Stone Mountain cannot be beat! The staff is kind and the service is impeccible. I'm just sad that this park is falling into obscurity, more people used to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding area, and now it seems like most of the traffic is just for golf.“
“This is a cool spot. I've been at least 2x - once alone and the more recent w/friends. Its quaint and I love the decor. I've only sat downstairs but I heard there is an upstairs section too.I had the kale salad w/chicken, it was tasty & plentyful. My friends had the chicken & dumplings and the smash burger w/fries. We also had the Cappqletti Spritz for drinks, also very tasy!“
“Not sure why this place has less stars. My guess is that it's not a pretty little instagrammable spot. The food and service here is solid. I've never had a bad dish here. They serve lunch, breakfast and dinner and everything tastes great. Would definitely recommend to everyone I know.“
