“I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“

“I throughly enjoyed myself here. There’s valet parking and it’s $15. Since it was raining, valet escorted us with umbrellas inside (we didn’t have to use the outside stairs, there’s a second entrance). The food and drinks were delicious. The music was everything, the DJ did a great job. And the decor really sets a nice vibe. My only con is the food is extremely expensive. If you don’t mind the high prices, I highly recommend.“

“This place was amazing!! As a Jamaican I can say this food is truly cooked by the hands of a skilled Jamaican chef and I saw her back there making magic!! Crystal was an excellent server and very nice and attentive. The ambiance was spectacular, they played Caribbean music most of my visit and had images of the island on the big tv as well as sports on the smaller tv behind the bar. We weren't especially impressed with the upcharge for the "a' la carte" sides, though the presentation & food prep were overall tasty with ideal portions. “A successful live music, cigar, and wine night. Cozy lil' hidden gem in sandy springs. The band was amazing and the sound level was perfect. It's a small bar though so you may end up standing if other tables are not willing to share a booth or table. It was only ONE waitress at the time on a Saturday night. Turkey burger sliders are so darn good and only enough for one person. Decent ventilation system,too.“

“Some of the best jerk I’ve had in America, yes, the entire country. It’s hard to find authentic Jamaican jerk but this place does it. I’ve lived in NY and ATL, this spot gets it right 95% of the time. They sell out a lot but it’s worth the headache lol.“

“The food here is good, that's why I came back. My husband is from cuba and he likes it here. But I had an incident that really made me think this place needs customer service training. We walked in and immediately were given a table after sitting for about 5 minutes we had menu's in our hand already the manager came by and told us they made a mistake that there was a waiting list and ask us to give the table up. We were sitting for 5 minutes how it is a mistake? We told him no, and he answered "oh I thought you guys would understand, but I guess not" (in Spanish) and walked away. How is it my fault? “We had a very large group things got mixed up from the pre order lucky I had a copy of the order list. After paying and getting home we noticed that we paid for food that was sent back to the kitchen. My biggest issue was the one ticket if this was communicated before things could have went a lot smoother at the end. Outside of those issue the food was very impressive! Absolutely delicious definitely will go back but with a party of 2. Very very good food worth the wait.“

“I have "tried" the Jerk Chicken plate at LJC at least 15 times and am never disappointed. The portions are large, the flavor is authentic, and all at a very affordable price.
