“The food at this place is simply phenomenal. Every bite was bursting with flavor and left me wanting more. One dish that completely stole the show was their oxtails. Let me tell you, these oxtails were out of this world! They were incredibly juicy and tender, practically melting in my mouth. The flavors were perfectly balanced, showcasing the expertise of the chefs in the kitchen. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. “I'm not sure what they did with those sides items but my side dishes stayed HOT my entire meal and it was cold in the building. I know I stayed in the restaurant eating my food for about 30-40 min, usually your food is not smoking, sizzling, hot to touch after about 5-10 mins. I had to blow my food before eating with every bite, even when I put it in my to go container, it was still steaming hot!
The food was amazing, 20/10! I would definitely eat here again & recommend this place to my friends & family.

When I arrived, it was only 1 staff member working the lobby area, Jessica. Jessica was the bartender, waitress, & hostess. When I arrived it was 1 table seated. Then I arrived after me more people came kept coming in and she never dropped her composure. Every time the bell would ring with more people coming in, she remained posed, greeted everyone with a smile & was very friendly. Jessica has amazing customer service!“

“The food is excellent, the roti is perfect, pepper sauce on point - real wiri wiri (IYKYK)! The restaurant is just like home and the owners, the staff and guests are like family. This brought back a real Guyana / NYC experience. If you’re looking for West Indian, Guyanese or Caribbean food this is the place to go! Back in Thyme is tucked away in Lawrenceville, but definitely worth the drive from anywhere in the Metro Atlanta .“

I went at lunchtime and was hungry for Oxtail. However, the Oxtail wasn't ready and I had to wait 30 minutes for it. I took off one star for the restaurant not properly timing the dishes to be ready at lunchtime. (I believe all dishes should be available at lunchtime!)

“I stumbled on this restaurant by accident went inside and ordered a slice of rum cake and a soup. I’m a Jamaican born and raised this place is a five star restaurant when it comes to taste. The soup was amazing real nice proportion the cake was perfectly made. Desmond was very personable. If you want good soup And cake go there I haven’t tried the other stuff as yet. Definitely will be going back“
