“I came in with me and my wife and when I got here Chelsea sat us down right away. When I ordered we got our food really quick. The food was AMAZING 👏. Chelsea has to be my favorite waitress. She checked up on us alot wich is amazing. So I have to say she done a really good job.“

I gave service 4 stars because we told the waitress it was my daughter's birthday and they were supposed to bring her out dessert and sing but she must have forgot so I was a little disappointed. “I typically have wonderful experiences when I go to the store. The food is usually great. And today was no different. The only issue I really had was I had a server. I wasn't familiar with her but her name Tag said jess and she had blue hair. I'm all about some cool looking hair. But her hair was down all over the place, and I even found it in my food, I was kind of disappointed. She never returned to ask for a refill and was constantly on her phone sitting down.
I have my favorites at this location.And she's definitely not one of them“

“I always recommend Pooles Bar B Que, for the food and service. My guests enjoy as well. You cannot find better brisket especially. If you dine in, most likely have to get to go boxes, because portion’s are generous. Last month I came as they closing and the employees let me order to go. Well I left my debit card in the card reader but did not know until my next stop. I was upset because I wasn’t 💯 percent sure where my card was. I called and left a message and the next morning decided to go by because I was on my way out of town. I didn’t receive a call back and no one was coming to the door because they had not opened yet. So after waiting decided to go around the back to see if anyone might be there, and they were just loading or unloading and didn’t hear me knocking. Anyway they had my card and told me I didn’t have any worries because all the staff were honest and glad they could help me, I was embarrassed about being so careless. So there are so many reasons this special restaurant in Ellijay is one of my favorite places to get a really great meal. I’ve feel like if you weren’t happy with something you ordered they will accommodate you. Try it for yourself, take someone with you!! 🤩😋“

“Food was great. Service was excellent and atmosphere was more than expected. I had the pleasure of my car breaking down in this parking lot when they were closed. A lady I assume was the owner had dropped by and she gave me a cold drink and allowed me to wait for the tow truck inside in the a/c. I had passed by several times and always meant to stop. So I finally did and not only do the treat people how they want to be treated they were providing water and food for a stray dog. Good people in my book.“

“We’re out of towners in Ellijay to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. We almost ate someplace else because of some negative reviews about having to wait so long to get their food. We were seated immediately and our orders taken within 5 minutes. We had our food in 15-20 minutes. We’re glad we ignored the bad reviews and took a chance. Good food and plenty of it.“

“The Double L restaurant is home cooking at a restaurant. The Double L obviously aims to try to satisfy many different “cravings” and therefore have multiple food options. Many meat; vegetable and dessert options to choose from! My family and I don’t eat out a lot as I have a home business, but when we do, we like to eat here. Try it, you’ll like it!“

“Asked in an Ellijay FB group for quick restaurants that would be good with a young kid. Someone said Mr P's and I'm glad they did. We went for breakfast this morning and split several things.

We got a bacon egg and cheese on sourdough (lightly toasted), chicken biscuit, a ham egg and cheese biscuit, and a cinnamon roll (so sofffffffft).

Everything seemed homemade. I saw another review on here say that everything was frozen and I disagree. I mean, of course corn nuggets and tater tots and things like that are probably frozen, but what we had this morning was GREAT.

We are going back tomorrow for lunch!
There are no tables inside, but there's a bench to sit on while waiting. A few tables outside, good prices, and quick service. It's great for what it is!! 🌟“

“We arrived around 3pm, they close at 4pm. We were able to seat ourselves as business that time of day is always alot slower. There was one server on and she came right over and got our drink order. There were 4 of us and we made up our minds what to order pretty fast. The young lady put in our order and continued waiting on a few other tables. Our food arrived about 10 minutes later. Our food was cooked hot, fresh and each order was correct. We asked for a few condiments and she was back in a flash. She was Very personable and friendly with a sweet smile.
We had 2 orders of Country fried steak with white pepper gravy. 1 had mac and cheese, the other mashed potatoes and white gravy and turnip greens. 1 order of a bacon cheese omelet and 1 flounder dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was spot on, hot and delicious. They only complaint was packaged tartar sauce was too sweet and bland. Other than that we all enjoyed a wonderful late lunch for under $40! Plenty of food, like most authentic southern little restaurants. We tipped our server well and complimented the food. If we're ever back in Ellijay, we will be stopping back in!“

“There are 4 of us that travel together and we are always trying different restaurants. This is the first time all of us were extremely pleased with our food. My burger was the best I've ever had! I tried tasting just the meat, and omg I could have ate just the patty by itself it was so flavorful and juicy!“

“the last 2x i have been their food is not enoigh to make 1 8sandwhich. They have shorted me food and want my cc to charge it again for what i was shorted which was a tea. i also ordered extra piece of toast so that means they charged me $3 for 1 piece of toast. so now 2x in a row i was charged $14.96 for a chopped plate, 1 extra piece of toast, and a med tea.when i arrive to pick up my food they tell me they didn't charge me for a tea and want my cc to charge it for the tea. i told them to forget it. get home i don't even have enough meat to make a full sandwhich and that means they charged me $3.96 for 1 extra piece of toast cuz a chopped plate is 10.99. becareful they are ripping people off. i have called to speak to the manager and some little girl tells me she is the manager and that's her shift and that it is right and no one else for me to talk to so i will stop going if that is how they are going to do business. i ate my last plater from them this past Sunday. i Will not and do not recommend any one to eat from there“
