“This place has the BEST food!!!! Every year when we come to Emerson we stop by. (Sadly we live over 75 miles away and only come to this area once a year for a specific event.) Two years ago when we first found Doug's Place, it was just a little hole- in-the-wall place. It has expanded and grown much bigger. But the food remains the same! Today, my husband got country fried steak, 3 sides, and a biscuit. I got the 4 veggie plate and cornbread. An honest review of my food: **Mashed potatoes and gravy...(choice of brown or white, I chose white...would like to have had a little more gravy-it was so good!) REAL mashed potatoes, even had some small lumps! Yummy! **fried Parmesan squash...very tasty **pinto beans...what can I say??? Just like my momma used to cook! Seasoned to perfection! Crumbled some of my cornbread in the pintos. It don't get no better than that! (Excuse my improper English please!) **cole slaw...I wouldn't be lying if I said it's the best I've ever had, including the slaw I make-and I get compliments on mine all the time. **cornbread...not the best I've ever had but pretty darn good! Especially when crumbled in the pintos! When we arrived, the parking lot was full. And the place was full. But still found a corner to ourselves. The staff were all friendly (Anna, our server was very busy, but took great care of us), food portions are ample and the cost very reasonable. Highly recommend!!!!“

“We were in town for a wedding. First off, Cartersville is a very cute town. We wanted to try something different and Table 20 didn’t disappoint. I tried the molasses sourdough bread with whipped honey butter. Delicious. The Game Day Dip was very tasty and unique. My wife was very happy with her chicken with seasoned fries with truffle sauce. I had the T20 Burger. Casey was a very good waitress.“

“We just got back from seeing an amazing 80s cover show with Guardians of the Jukebox! But one.of the main reasons we WILL be back is because our server Natalie IS THE BEST!!! She has her ISH together big time, coupled woth an awesome personality and a very sweet heart! She even took the time to remember our names the whole night! She did an awesome job with out order, keeping our drinks refilled, and helping us understand our tab with thr gift card we had! Guardians of the Jukebox is why we came and, unless they return soon, then Natalie will be the reason we will keep coming back!!“

“I have learned so much in my classes with Chef Abraham. He paces the class just right so you feel challenged but not overwhelmed. So many other classes you just read from a text book but in his classes Abraham asks questions and gets the students to respond which is both fun and promotes faster learning. He is patient and eager to help. I’m thrilled to have found his class and definitely will recommend him!“

“I want to say a mighty big thank you to the great people at the Acworth Georgia , Culvers for going above and beyond in returning my purse. My husband and I were driving through and and stopped to eat. Food was great. After Leaving and traveling over a hundred miles I realized I did not have my purse, knowing Ciphers was the only place had stopped, my husband called them and sure enough a waitress had found it and turned it into the manager who placed it the safe. My husband called my phone which was in my purse it was answered by the manager. They verified that I was indeed the owner, he contacted the restaurants owner to see what the store policy was regarding this situation. The owner contacted us and he had my purse sent back to me high priority. When I offered to pay for the shipping he refused to be reimbursed. Stated he would want someone to do the same for him. I say this goes a long way about the integrity of this company. They really do live up to their motto of being one of the family. Also want to say that nothing was taken out of my purse. Thank you Patrick, Dominick and Skip for all that you did.“

“Busy. Obviously, not enough staff(all restaurants having this issue). Therefore, service was sub par. Food came out at different times and not all together. Had to wait for rest of my food before I could start eating. Hash came out first and I mix with eggs. Had to wait another 5-10 minutes. Hash hot gold. Plates and garbage remained on table; no pre-busing. No follow up on how we were doing. Had to constantly ask for refills. Not mad; just stating the facts.“

“Old as Cartersville itself. Rich history here.Great stories about the place. Burnt down, only to rebuild it back to speck. So old I was told once, the use to separate the different races of people from each other. Of course, that would have been 50 years ago. Only to show really how old this place is. Not many restaurants can say this. Nor stay a float that long, in business. That alone says everything you needed to know about their food and service.Truly a landmark of Cartersville GA.“

“We had 3 main items, the butter burger with cheese, good choice, the cod sandwich, also a good choice, and the walleye dinner, large portion, it was ok. Assortment of sides , onion rings were good, cheese curds were good, the Cole slaw was good. Worth a visit.“

“My family and I come to this place quite often and usually there isn’t any problem, but today I am so annoyed because all of sudden you can only get one dipping sauce per meal. For the amount of money I think it’s ridiculous to expect one sauce for five tenders and onion rings is gonna do the trick. Don’t know that I will be coming back here again“

Loved the atmosphere, and the food was enjoyed by all. Be sure to order your condiments when you order, can get busy, and may take longer once food arrives. Will definitely repeat. All of our boxes were checked: bright atmosphere different from other very dark Longhorn Restaurants, cushioned comfortable chairs for our older family, and the service was AMAZING. Matt, our server, was so kind and patient while we asked many questions and he helped make our lunch into a birthday party! We each truly enjoyed our food and friendship even with the other parties at neighboring tables.“
