“It was one of those nights that I just had to have tacos! On my journey of exploring new places to eat, I ended up at Sombreros via the recommendation of a friend. The location was easy to find as it sits directly on the main strip. The parking lot is huge and has easy in/out access. As I walked up to the restaurant I could already tell it was a local fav. The ambiance was very chill. It was a nice day so there were people on the patio which added to the draw of the location.Walking in, there was a sign advising to seat yourself, thus we proceeded to do so. Within minutes of being seated chips and salsa were delivered to the table and seconds later we were greeted by our waitress Kiley. Kiley was very pleasant, all smiles, and a true bundle of excitement. She welcomed us in, took our drink and appetizer order, and gave us some time to review the menu.Appetizer:Bean Dip - cheesy, well flavored, huge portion. The menu has a variety of options to choose from. Though I know I wanted tacos, I am excited to go back to explore some of their other menu options… I decided on the 3 Taco Plate and swapped out my Rice and Beans for the Mexican Salad.Fish Taco - very flavorful, the fish was moist, and the fixings were fresh. This was a good taco and I will order it againBuffalo Chicken Taco - this one was my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly. Crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The taco had pieces of celery which to my surprise paired well with the taco. Not only did it add an additional layer of texture, however, the coolness of the celery paired well with the kick of the Buffalo sauce.Traditional Beef Taco - flavorful, meaty, and good. Perfect fix of a traditional taco.Overall, Sombreros was a pleasing experience. The food was good. Kiley provided great service. The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was upbeat and inviting.“

“Loved the atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and prompt.I love that they let you sample the sweet tea before you order it. They bring out a glass of your beverage so that you can pour your own refill instead of waiting for a waiter to get you a refill on sprite :-)We had a reservation for 9PM. The staff tried to call us to move us up but we were at a symphony and couldn't use our phones. Instead of waiting to hear from us, they automatically moved us to 8:45PM. There is a 15 minute grace period so we got there in the nick of time. That was the only draw back.We were told the kitchen closes at 9:30 so don't make a reservation too close to that time, although there are later times. Maybe that is for the bar.It is cashless and it is on the website and they tell you once you get there as well.Parking is first come first serve but they have reasonable valet. it was only $8My boyfriend had the seafood Piccadilly and mac and cheese and it was so good. I had the chicken and waffles. Be mindful of the chili butter that is on there cause it is hot. It added flavor, just not one I liked. Nothing towards the chef, I just didn't care for it, but my boyfriend smashed it lol. The chicken was seasoned really well. This is definitely a good date night or girls brunch date. Again the staff is so friendly and atmosphere is so cool!“

“Brunch on the Beltline was the order of the day. We’d heard of Bar Vegan, but none of us had tried it, so we decided to check it out! The restaurant has a great vibe and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a good variety of choices and the waitress was very helpful in making our selections. She informed us that there are no “take backs or exchanges on drinks or dishes” and that the “beef” dishes are Impossible Beef, as opposed to Beyond Meat. Which apparently makes a HUGE difference in the taste. From what I hear it’s an acquired taste and…yeah, I’ll pass! Especially since you’re stuck with it whether you like it or not. I appreciated the waitress being forthcoming about the menu, as she wanted our experience to be enjoyable. It was! The brussel sprouts were delicious and you can’t really go wrong with pesto pasta. The “wings” and tacos were good as well. The strawberry lemonade came in a bottle, which was a bit off putting initially. However, it was easily poured into a glass and enjoyed on the rocks! One thing several patrons disliked is the restaurant is paperless, so the checks were not printed out and given to you for review and keepsake. I’m not sure if printing was an option, but it definitely wasn’t offered, so we assumed it was not. Overall, we had a good dining experience and recommend you give it a try. It’s definitely a different experience for your average carnivore. But it’s a good experience if you’re open to trying new things (and we were)! The restaurant is nestled inside the Ponce City Market which offers an array of shopping and culinary options as well, which makes for a very enjoyable day!“

“Not busy and wait time for food was ridiculous! Manager not even nice about it. Fries not even hot when entrees arrived. A dragged out not very good dinner. Then my parking ticket that hostess helped validate wasn’t actually validated. Had to pay $22 to get out of deck. Too many other great restaurants in Atlanta! Don’t waste your time here!!!“

“I wanted to try a Michelin star restaurant. This place did not disappoint! The parking was free! The staff was so kind. It was not hoity toity either. I didn't need to know the cutlery as they brought out new pieces for each course. It was the most expensive meal I've ever had ($200+/plate) so I don't recommend bringing kids! The attire was more laid back than we expected, which was also nice. S/O took off his tie. ?It was a great experience.“

“What a fantastic and unique experience of a meal! My wife and I celebrated our 16 year anniversary at Gunshow not knowing what to expect and the whole dining experience blew us away. It's a dim sum style meal where every plate brought out is a culinary masterpiece and different than the other. The cocktails are fantastic as well. Plates are perfectly sized l for two and small portions so you can share and try many different plates. I've heard their menu changes daily so you get variety and their exquisite flavor profiles of dishes, drinks and desserts can truly be enjoyed. I recommend coming to Gunshow for a special occasion and look to spend roughly $150+ per person.5 solid Stars easily and two thumbs way up for Gunshow.“

“I am never disappointed when I dine at Nouveau in Jonesboro. I've eaten here numerous times over the past year for brunch, dinner and even closed the place one night! Each time I am pleased and impressed by the food, the service and the atmosphere. The owner must really respect her staff because this past Easter, the only menu available was brunch. Not only does this increase food delivery time, it relieves some of the stress the staff takes on with offering a limited(yet delicious) menu. Because some patrons can be......a little extra. Nouveau, don't.change.a thing! And the parking? You couldn't ask for better! Great Job!“

“This was my first visit to Agabe and I absolutely loved it. I went with a friend for a light dinner and it did not disappoint The service was prompt and the servers were friendly and attentive. We ordered several appetizers and all were delicious. My only complaint was with the Agave Meatballs-they were a bit too spicy. The fried tomato and grits appetizer was excellent. I will definitely be back.“

“Hello fellow #foodiesofatl we want to share our Foodie Friday visit at @fontainesatl in the N. Highlands Area of Atlanta.Let's start off with the vibes. It was low key, the staff was friendly, and the food service was very quick. Speaking of the food we had some positives and some neutrals. Here is what we had:Cajun Rice Balls ❤️❤️❤️These were simply "okay". We wouldn't order them again because there was nothing special about them. We have had tons of great rice balls in Atlanta and this is at the bottom of the list. They were just dull.John's Famous Cold Crab dip with pita points❤️❤️❤️Same as the rice balls, not bad just dull. Would not order again. The pita points were a nice touch though and were warm and soft.NOLA oysters ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Okay, finally something we loved. These were amazing. We will be back for these again and will order no appetizers. We should have ordered this twice lolCatfish Seafood Basket ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Cooked perfectly, not too much breading, hot and crunchy on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside. Came with really good fries with cajun seasoning.Crawfish Tails Basket ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Cooked perfectly, not too much breading, hot and Crispy. This was really awesome!!The oysters and fried seafood were great. The appetizers left much too be desired. We decided if we back we will go straight in for oysters and fried seafood. We will be back for sure for the seafood!!#fontainesoysterhouse#virginiahighlands #t_vfooduniverse2024 #T_vfooduniverse #foodielover #foodbloggersofatlanta #seafoodlovers #seafoodatl #atlbites #atlantaeats #oysters #goodeats404 #atlantablogger #foodiesforlife #atlantarestaurantscene #bestofatlantaeats #foodietakeover #friedseafood #yummyeats #atlantanights #foodscene #bestfriends #atlantaga #atlantalife #atlantablogger #foodhype #foodfinders #foodreels #foodcoma #atlantafridays“
“This place is great. It’s in Atlanta. Staple where you can put church choir ropes on when you go. On certain days they have drag and karaoke. When you go on the weekends it’s a great place to dance. They also have picnic tables outside. This is a great place to be casual but also have a great time.“

“Ordered boxed meals catering and the process was easy and everyone was happy. One thing I'll say is beverages aren't priced on the catering menus and I paid $10 for a gallon of lemonade, which felt pretty steep. Would still recommend.“

“Absolutely fantastic spot! Creative and delectable dishes at surprisingly affordable prices, and delicious craft cocktails served up in an intimate environment. If I have one complaint, it's their seating policy. They don't take reservations and they don't have a hostess, so when you show up, you're competing with others for the next available table. It's...suboptimal. Nonetheless, definitely worth checking this place out. I'll certainly be back, but probably on a week night to avoid fighting fellow patrons for a table.“

“Ms. Icey's is a vibe! My husband and I decided to stop in for dinner on Saturday evening around 8pm. The restaurant wasn't super crowded at least on the inside. The patio area was pretty packed. We were immediately greeted and seated by the host as the DJ played all the hits! Our waiter CJ (I believe) was super friendly and recommended a few drink options which were great! For our food: We originally planned to order Jerk Burgers but they were sold out! We ended up ordering Jerk Ribs with mac and cheese and Jerk Chicken with rice and peas, everything was very tasty! The owner of the restaurant came over to greet us and chatted for a while, which was a great gesture! He was very friendly and welcoming. We definitely plan to come back here for brunch! We enjoyed this place so much that I also recommended it to a few others! Give this place a try!“

“Haven’t visited Café Intermezzo in YEARS! Stopped by after lunch to grab some cheesecake and it did my heart (and stomach) well. The service is always fast and accomodating. We requested specific seating in the sun room/outdoor space which they didn’t seem to be seating but allowed us to sit. Our cheesecake was delivered to the table almost immediately and our water glasses were never empty. The service and food have been consistent for many years and I always appreciate that.Parking: Several paid lots available within a block in multiple directions.“

“This was a spontaneous stop for us for lunch and we were so pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. To start, the margaritas were excellent! Very bright and refreshing. The service was friendly, the ambience was fun, and the seafood was INCREDIBLE. We ordered the beef empanada, tostadas de mariscos, tostadas salvaje del mar, and calamari. Very generous portions with all of the seafood toppings and the whole experience was chef's kiss. Definitely worth the stop and can't wait to be back.“
“Super cute. My husband and I came last visit, went home and told our son and had to bring him.Cute place family fun. I would recommend to go not at “peek” hours if you don’t want to wait in line.We went about 2:00pm on a Friday and basically had the place to ourself. So we didn’t feel rushed nor did we have to wait. So that was nice!“

“Initially we were disappointed at the reduced menu options compared to our last visit and there may be people who wouldn't find choices that they liked. I had two small plates rather than a larger dish. My mussels were really very good and the scallops were even better. The service was excellent. Prices are a bit steep, but I was very happy with my food and with the service.“
“I love the gender neutral bathroom and the ambiance. I do hate the wait times are so long but overrall it was a nice adult only space. the band was good too but the music should definitely be more inclusive I love rock and live bands but definitely add some funk, hip hop etc“

“Hands down the best wings in the city! That’s saying a lot coming from an Atlanta native. We’re the city of wings like literally, and all of the other wing spots can’t compete. I’ve been coming to this place since 2021 and they NEVER let me down.. Get your wings before 9pm.. They usually sellout. I wish this place was open Tuesday as well, but I can’t even complain. 10 outta 10!“

“This is a very cool vibes kind of bar. Very Boho chic with a Rastafarian feel with comfortable seating nooks. The drink menu was diverse, good and affordable. The bartender was super nice and made great recommendations. The music was great as well. The coolest thing was the doorway/entrance is a pink shaped coffin (can we say phot-ops!) “No complaints here. The food was decent and it’s your typical bar scene. I only had a chicken ceasar salad and it was very good and flavorful. The beer is better than the cocktails. Asked for a tequila lemon drop and idk what I received but I drank it. ??“
“I had an incredible dining experience at Elsewhere Brewing! The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Double Smash Burger, and it was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. The two perfectly smashed patties were juicy and flavorful, topped with melted American cheese, diced onions, pickles, and Frank's secret sauce, all nestled in a soft Martin's Sesame Seed Bun. I decided to add a fried egg and bacon, which took the burger to the next level. The side Caesar salad was a nice touch, providing a fresh and crisp contrast to the rich burger. My friend opted for the House Chicken Sandwich with a customized twist. They added seasonal vegetables to their order, which came alongside the sandwich and fries. The grilled chicken breast was topped with fresh lettuce, red onion, and ranch dressing, served on a bun. The colorful medley of seasonal vegetables added a healthy and tasty dimension to the meal. My friend thoroughly enjoyed their personalized dish and was impressed with the quality of the ingredients. To complement my meal, I ordered an old fashioned, and it was simply perfect. The cocktail was well-balanced, with a large ice sphere and a citrus garnish, showcasing the bartender's skill and attention to detail. The food presentation was excellent, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. I highly recommend Elsewhere Brewing to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in a welcoming atmosphere. The staff's willingness to accommodate customizations was a big plus. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu offerings and to enjoy another one of their expertly crafted cocktails.“

“I had the seafood penne pasta, it's loaded with salmon, shrimp and muscles. I opted for no muscles. The cream sauce for the pasta was very watery! “I wish I could give it more stars. This is one of if not the best establishment in Atlanta. The drinks are reasonable, the service is efficient and the atmosphere is always what you want from a jazz club. The musicians that play here are incredibly talented. Masters of their craft. The kitchen has been closed down for a while (could still be) but the food was phenomenal as well. I hope they bring the food back soon. “great drinks, friendly bartenders and a cool atmosphere. they have regular events like karaoke and dungeons and dragons. they also rotate the arcade machines periodically throughout the year, i believe the current selection is available to view on their website but has many popular 80s and 90s multiplayer arcade games in various genres. they also have a room with couches, pinball and board games. there is an outdoor fenced in smoking section as well. the frozen mixed drinks are a personal favorite of mine. in the past they've sometimes had pop-up restaurant concepts hosted but don't, to my knowledge, ordinarily serve food of their own. great date spot, or to go with friends and play some games. it would be fun even without drinking if you're just wanting to play games.Parking: parking is catch as catch can. there are some paid lots in the area, as well as some limited street parking. but on a busy night, it can be tricky to find a space sometimes.“

“I love the atmosphere. I'm not sure if it is new but they have some work to do. They came to our table 4 times with food for other tables. Service was extremely slow. It's too nice a place to get patted down when you come in and it takes a long time to get into the humidor because it's locked and they have to find someone with a key. Once they work out the kinks it will be an awesome place.“
