“We had initially gone to a restaurant around the corner, the atmosphere was bad. So we came to Sombreros, and I'm so glad we did. I was glad to see outside seating, nice atmosphere inside, large TVs at the bar, plenty of tables for seating. Just moments after taking our seat in a nice cozy Booth , our server greeted us, took our drink order, and before she walked away we had chips and salsa on the table. We were off to a great start. My chunky guacamole was made to order and specific, to my liking. The food was hot, and flavorful. Sombreros has been added to the list of place to bring friends.“

“We visited The Red Phone Booth on 6/15 while in town for my cousin’s graduation. What no one knew was that I had just placed my mom on hospice and we had lost a cousin the same day—her sister and my mom’s baby sister were with us. Even in the middle of all that pain, we were shown such kindness. Sophia was amazing, and I even played pool with a member who didn’t know I could barely hold a cue. “The Local is a dive bar (in a good way!) with some really good wings. The line was out the door and once you get in, you order at the counter and then have to find your own table. When we got inside, it was packed inside and every table was also taken. I’m assuming that The Local is usually this busy because also they talk about how they regularly sell out of wings. When we asked, they said they sell out usually 2.5-3 hours after opening so you definitely have some time. The wings themselves were really good! To be honest, I’m usually a boneless wing kind of person and these are traditional wings, but they were great! I went for the 1/2 & 1/2 so I could try two different flavors. I went with the Korean and Spicy Korean and they’re quite different. The Korean is a bit more sweet and the Spicy Korean has a little kick. If you like spice, the Spicy Korean is very mild - not a bad thing, just not super spicy if that’s what you’re looking for. But, it’s still good. Both sauces were good, but I’d go with Spicy Korean as my favorite of the two. I also got a side of fries and that was a pretty generous size which was nice! Overall, cool local dive bar vibe and really really good wings! If you go, just go early and be ready to have to keep an eye out for a table to snag in a free for all style!“

From a food perspective, it was a mixed bag. The fried crab unfortunately missed the mark—it lacked freshness and didn’t deliver the flavor or texture you’d expect from a standout appetizer. That said, the brisket tacos more than made up for it. They were well-executed, flavorful, and tender, with a solid balance that made them a clear highlight of the menu.

The drinks were another strong point. Well-crafted, refreshing, and consistent, they complemented the atmosphere perfectly and elevated the overall experience.

Service was solid across the board. The staff was attentive, professional, and kept things moving smoothly despite the busy environment, which added to the positive vibe of the visit.

“My friend and I just happened upon Sakura as we were exploring the Lee & White space and we are so glad we decided to stop in and chat up the bartender and owner, Nico. Nico guided us through a sake tasting consisting of three unique sakes starting with junmai ginjo, usu nigori, and ending with nigori. “Great experience for their Goodfellas theme. The food and cocktails were on point for each course. The service from the entire staff was phenomenal.

My favorites were the tuna tonnato, lobster tortellini, and tiramisu. My friend enjoyed all her courses as well.

All of the cocktails were amazing and so unique. The standouts were the funny how, cutty water, and no more shines.

“I loved every aspect of 26 Thai Kitchen and bar. The service was excellent. The food was really good, including the massive one that allows you to order four for a discounted price. The dishes were fresh, and the sauces that came with complimented their flavor. The main dishes were great too. I had a sweet and sour chicken which came in a pineapple boat and my husband had a pad Thai flavor inspired chicken. The atmosphere was awesome, felt very cozy and retro.“

This place is free usually, the customers are friendly and music is popping on Thursdays just ok on Saturday unless you keep telling the dj what to play (the dj on Friday knows what to play). Great place to mingle and party. Drinks could be a little stiffer (I dont drink regularly)“

“All I can say is WOW. What an amazing dining experience. I would be very surprised if Avize doesn’t earn a Michelin star this year. Everything about this restaurant is top tier. Every item we had from the amuse bouche through dessert was a 10/10. You can taste the passion and desire for excellence in each dish. The menu is very creative but every dish is extremely well balanced and a joy to eat. Each dish is absolutely beautiful as well. The ceviche and tartare were the best we’ve had in recent memory. The bread service was insanely good. The black garlic butter so good I could have eaten it without the bread. The Fallow Deer entree was a work of art that tasted better than it looked. The potato rosti is the perfect potato side dish and a must try. The ice cream with caviar is an absolute must try as well. It sounds crazy but it was absolutely fantastic. The service was impeccable, easily the best service we’ve experienced in Atlanta in recent memory. Patrick was a tremendous server and the rest of the team provided the highest caliber service possible. I’d say this was a 100/10 dinner experience and we cannot wait to come back to try the different seasonal menus.“

The creative seafood menu is absolutely delicious - you cannot go wrong even if you don’t really know what you’re ordering. Some of our favs have been the Anchovies, Broiled oysters, grilled cheese, spaghettini, fish plate, and pastel de nata.
