Although she said the portion was small, I had the double smashburger. It's ribby and ground beef 2 patties together. With a sweet sauce, it was also pretty good.“

“I have had wraps from here a couple of times but everytime it was a carry out due to Covid. But last night we went there to eat. I cant express in words the food was that level yummy. We ordered 2 cheese wraps and 1 falafel wrap. Both were perfectly delicious. The people that works there are amazing at making it. It was beyond my expectations compared to carry out. Besides food restaurant was clean and desert was a yum. But nothing could ever beat the warp. I highly recommend this place to everyone and recommend them to sit and eat there instead of carryout. Absolutely loved my food.“

I got the hamburger on rye with onion and I also got extra crispy onion rings and they were extra crispy with sour cream. “This comment is about the salad which was amazing but it's more geared to the young lady that works there. You see, I had just came from Atlanta verifying the news that I have the last stage of stomach cancer and was given two years to live. As I was sitting at the table waiting on my plate well my boyfriend and I, the tears came a flowing and the customers that was there couldn't see me crying but when this young lady saw me she asked if everything was ok and I couldn't hold the tears and I bawled like a newborn baby and what she did I knew there was a god and that would be my gi yo restaurant forever. She gave me a hug and yes I'm a hugger and she told me what ever I'm going through I will be ok and I cried on her shoulder for a bit and after i felt better. We both smiled and I left and went home. Then has I opened my salad to eat and the first bite was explosive well I would have said heaven but I can only imagine that part and I love God but not trying to go there no time soon lol so this salad was just amazing. I just had to leave this review to say that day my soul got fed just as well as my belly. Thank you young lady, you know who you are.“

During our last visit, Mike Seekins, the owner and chief, took the time to personally come out and chat with us, even offering a couple of insights into the secrets behind his delicious cheese grits. Of course, he's not spilling the entire recipe, just a tip or two. What adds to the charm of Famous Mike's is not just the fantastic food but the super-friendly staff and the wonderful atmosphere they've cultivated. “I got two chicken enchiladas and a pork tamale. I have never seen a tamale wrapped in what seems to be seaweed, it’s usually wrapped in a corn husk. Not to mention one of my enchiladas was completely filled up with refried beans instead of chicken. I’m very disappointed and for some reason their phone line is always busy so I can’t get in contact with them to let them know what’s going on. I guess I’m going to have to turn around and drive back up there.

UPDATE: it was banana leaves, not seaweed. It smelled salty and kind of like olives so maybe that's what threw me off. They corrected my order on the spot and were very kind about it.“

“We had tacos: steak, pork, and bbq. Very fresh, authentic and tasty, on either flour or corn tortillas. Service was very friendly and prompt. There is an attached grocery store that is packed with items to include a bakery, fresh meat and vegetables. We are looking forward to returning to try other menu items. “Me and a few of my cousins took our Moms and Aunt here last weekend to eat, it was my 2nd time eating there, and we had about 12 ppl, I called a couple days ahead to see if I needed to reserve a area for us to be seated together....we're a big family, that use to have yrly reunions with big meals and all the trimmings, Ole Times was the PERFECT substitute for our gathering, the manager happily told me he would make sure we were seated together....and the staff was perfect, the food was awesome. Very fair priced and after about 2.5hrs of us eating and reminiscing we noticed a sign asking patrons to try to keep their stay under 2hrs lol....hey, ya can't blame them I was in a porkchop coma within a hour....collard greens, cabbage green beans everything was perfect and seasoned just right, I paid for my guest and cousins paid for theirs we only asked that everyone in our party leave a good tip, but we noticed waitstaff never touched the tips before we left, so not really sure how tipping works there....I'll definitely be back, and if you love southern style food and great service, I think you'll be hard pressed to find better. Again thanks for accommodating us...my apologies for overstaying the 2hrs, as we were too busy eating laughing to notice the sign lol. I guess only question is tipping allowed? And only suggestion is if foods always that GOOD and I understand 2hrs is more than enough time...maybe consider security guards or bouncers even to keep me away from those tender golden porkchops! “First off the bat, the cliches/stereotypes: I'm asian. Asians are the pickiest when it comes to asian food. Either you got it, or you don't. We are also all entitled self-proclaimed food critics lol. On top of it all, I'm a chef who loves to eat (don't trust skinny chefs btw).

This place marks all the marks in my book. Wonderful decor, personable and humble family oriented restaurant, homemade dumplings, from scratch sauces, etc.... the list goes on. This is how chinese food is suppose to be, not the PF Chang and the chains alike.

“Me and my 2 youngest boys went. It was quiet clean and the service was great. Our chicken was not quite cooked all the way thru, but we were taking a to go bag so I didn't complain we will hear it up and cook it further at home... even thought I asked for it to be well done. I won't blame the server she was sweet and patient. My kids love it here and my dranky drank was gooooood!“

“I absolutely love the couple that owns this place. They are always so sweet and my order is always right and cooked perfect. They are always back there working hard and deserve some recognition. I always tip 15% or more because they just deserve it. It is very rare that you find a good place to eat with good customer service and that is quick, well this place has everywhere in Macon Georgia beat.“

“We have ordered the red dragon roll, volcano roll, California rolls, general zsos chicken, sesame chicken, chicken and rice bowl, and chicken, noodles and veggie dishes. ALL the dishes have been flavorful, made well, and delicious! Their yum yum sauce also tastes good (some places are using some strange, off tasting yum, yum sauce... not this place). The food was made fresh, brought hot to our table, and we enjoyed eating there, not feeling rushed, and enjoyed our visit together. Fast and friendly! Enjoy!
