Mr. James and Mr. Earl feel like those cool uncles who can throw down in the kitchen. It’s hard to find places like this anymore. My family loves it, and the portion sizes are generous.

“Ok, honestly the location seemed a little sketchy at first, but boy am I glad we stopped in!!! We ordered the catfish, oxtail, greens, yams, mac & cheese, rice. EVERYTHING was hittin! Its been a while since I've purchased soul food and be impressed by ALL of the food. Give this place a chance so that they stay open, so i can have a close place to get good food!“

“The food here is amazing . The people are so welcoming and the customer service is phenomenal! I came in with my boyfriend that stumbled across this gem and they did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and made just like grandma house . The people are so inviting the food is so tasty this definitely gave me all reasons to come back and highly recommend . “Had the most incredible experience at Red Rice Restaurant here in Atlanta. The food was amazing, but what made it unforgettable was meeting the owner — a fellow New Yorker with the most beautiful spirit. We instantly bonded over our shared roots, entrepreneurship, growth, and wanting more for ourselves.
She shared a bit of her journey with us — how COVID led her into the world of cooking, and how it became her passion. Watching her move through the restaurant laughing with customers, joking with her kids, and genuinely loving what she does was truly inspiring. The whole space feels like love, family, and purpose.
As a pescatarian, I was SO happy with the options — I enjoyed the salmon, fried shrimp, baked mac & cheese, garlic string beans, and of course their signature red rice (comes with every meal and is so good). And that’s just a small piece of the menu!
10/10 recommend. If you’re in the area, go. If you’re visiting Atlanta, make sure you stop by. You will not be disappointed. ❤️✨“

“This my first time with my hubby! The food was amazing! The ribs and rib tips were cooked just right! The collards, yams, and baked beans were seasoned and great! The mac n cheese was good but it was slightly under seasoned! I will be back and highly recommend this place! The beautiful lady at the front was friendly! 5/5!“

“First time customer but it certainly wont be my last. I got the beef tips and they were perfection. My only complaint is that I wanted to try everything but they only serve meat by the plates. Please add a meat sample option for greedy people such as myself 😇“

“This is the best bar on the southside. Manny is the best bartender in my opinion. He always acknowledges you when you come in and makes sure you have a good time. Nick and a few other staff also are good about stepping in to help out it make's your experience great. This bar gives you that home away from home vibe most of us in our 30s look for.“

“So Today was my second time going to this spot today . Both times I order a veggie plate . For food was good but could be better.I didn’t cook so close to home cooking with me doing it lol. My return isn’t just about the food the service and old feeling of southern hospitality . I’m from Atlanta not to many spots like this still around so I try to support black own businesses in my City . Funny how you get in line and people remind you of your upbringing if your from a large family standing in waiting for them to ask you what you having. . Yes yes ma’am, yes sir I will like etc.. then you get ya food Scared to complain being thankful for them who Prepared to serve you. Thanks“

“Without a question of a doubt the BEST SOULF FOOD I’ve EVER HAD 🙌🏽 the wait is long but WELL WITH IT. There is no menu posted outside and I had to decide quickly with the help of the server but the food was SO AMAZING I didn’t have time to take pics. I got the catfish and fried pork chop platters and it came to about $26“

“Down home southern cooking served up quickly and with a smile. The banana puddin' was to die for and their turkey & dressing dinner was better than some big brand restaurant that I've had. Prices are reasonable“
“I have ordered from her several times. We have tried several things, so here you go: Wings (honey hot are the bomb), beef hot dogs and fries are good. Turkey wings were good but could've been more tender. Cabbage and Mac and cheese (nah, not good) Philly Cheese Steak ( salty as hell) Do Not Try if you have Diabetes. Definitely a waste of money. Cornbread Dressing tasted more like cornbread (says my husband) Her customer service is GREAT!!! She's friendly and understanding. We will definitely order again. We'll just order what we know is good.“

“Ok, so I love rib tips & really only get them from 2 places in Metro Atlanta.. but I did pull up & try the Rib Tips at Screen House.. & they were EXCELLENT! When I walked in, it very clean, the young lady behind the register greeted me right away & was very professional. I'm honestly not big on doing reviews.. but I was so impressed & the Rib Tips were so good.. I had to jump on here & say something.. If you're reading this, you should really go check them out. They come with sauce, but I ate mine without it. Well seasoned & very tender.. not dry & hard like some I've had around the area“

“I'm so glad I found your place. The food is on point and no complaints but a full belly. I went to another restaurant in Jonesboro for some home cooked meal and was disappointed because they didn't have morning on their menu that was being advertised. But IT'S ABOUT SOUTH came through and I'll be back for sure“

“Fast, cheap and tasty. A classic meat-and-three southern diner. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Excellent value for the price; you can get a square meal with a protein and lots of veggies for like $10. For maximum ambience, eat your food there and watch some Judge Judy.“

“Order way too much for a group of 25... the wings are HUGE... regular person would eat only 4-6. Also had Okra, mac and cheese bites were interesting but good and corn nuggets were a little spicy but still good. Oh and Whiting Fish was ok.“

“We came to eat after a USATF Region 4 Junior Olympic Track Meet. We left with our bellies full and food enough to take back to our hotel because of the hefty portion size. Our food was hot and delicious! Ms. Sadie is down to earth! Come check her out!“
