“Great night, great food, Harrison our waiter, and all his coworkers were exceptional! We had a great seat by the beautiful fireplace, and the beer is fabulous! The Blueberry was my favorite! The potatoe ship skillet, Brussels sprouts, beet hummus and veggies, stuffed pretzel , and Caesar salad were awesome! Can’t wait to go back !”

Crab legs are always a hit; steamed to perfection. Word of advice - open your meal with the grit fritters. Staff made me feel special and thought of for my 39th!”

My girl had a tiny run-in with a beam (because… kids 😅), and before I could even gather myself, the owner was right there checking on her and on me. That kind of care says everything. Great food. Great music. Even better people. What started as supporting friends turned into finding a place we’ll be back to again and again. The Golden Isles really do shine ✨”

“I’ve been a regular takeout customer for years - the food and service is always great. I usually order a curry, which they change up/rotate every day. “My family and I could not recommend St. Simons Seafood highly enough after a fabulous experience from the moment we walked through the door.

We were visiting this week with family friends and enjoying all of the beauty that the Golden Isles have to offer. This being a beach trip, we knew we had to prepare a few seafood dishes to round out our days relaxing seaside.

Greeted by a wonderful local selection, we narrowed down our decision to shrimp & mahi mahi. The service was excellent, with staff very willing to advise and ensure we received the highest quality seafood in town at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend the peeled & deveined shrimp for ease of preparation.

Out of our St Simons Seafood purchases we enjoyed a lovely shrimp étouffée, and grilled mahi mahi paired with a quinoa salad and greens. Both fish were fresh and delicious! We will definitely be stopping by again when we return to the area.”

“We got there about 20 minutes before closing. Normally I don’t like going to any restaurant unless it is at least 30 minutes before closing but we were starving and there weren’t a lot of choices. The waitress was so friendly, and the service was fantastic. We ordered pizza, wings and some cheese bread. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The pizza was excellent. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the mood for pizza. I tipped the waitress 50% for being so great even though we got there so late. I will definitely be back.”

“Absolutely the best cupcakes and sandwich cookies I've ever had! We can't go to St. Simon's Island without going to SmallCakes. The cupcakes are so moist and flavorable. The minis are a perfect bite size. I tried the snickerdoodle sandwich cookie and it was the size of my hand; so so good, I couldn't stop eating it. Lol This place is WELL Worth the money. I promise you won't be disappointed. They also have brownies & ice cream which I'll be trying on my next visit. They even offer pupcakes for your furry friend. The service was awesome. I didn't catch her name but she was so polite and sweet. I recommend the mini cupcakes and sandwich cookies.”

“My girlfriend and I were traveling back from Daytona 500. We explored the beach on a windy February day and decided to go check out the downtown area and look for lunch. We stumble into this place and we both order burgers. I ordered the black and blue burger and she ordered the cheese burger and sweet potato fries. All we talked about on our drive back was how great the burger was. It had amazing flavor inside and out. Perfectly cooked. Definitely one of the best flavored burgers we ever had. If we make it back south and need a lunch spot, I will be stopping back.”

“I would like to say that I’m on a diet and is a lady named Kim that works over there and she was very helpful to me and choosing what to eat then that I’m on a diet and also what to drink because I don’t need to be eating fatty foods or drinking sugary drinks. She was so helpful as saying taste of drink and if you don’t like it, give it back to me and I’ll make you something else but I told her that I’ll taste it because it was too hot at the present time and moment and I’ll let her know next time I come if I don’t like it I told her I’ll let her choose and make me something that she think that I may or may not like”

“So today I took my two very young kids to a candy store ( the sugar shack) for the first time in their lives . My son wanted everything and began having a meltdown . I was overwhelmed and honestly didn’t have money for everything they wanted but did buy them some things and a very kind lady Mrs . Emma saw my son melting down and offered him a little rubber duck and free Ice cream . THAT WAS SO KIND OF HER ! We had sherbet ice cream which was delicious and by the time we left the store my son was happy waving bye bye to her . She was so sweet so happy so kind anytime I am ever here visiting my sister I will bring the kids and give them our business they earned it the candy and Ice cream were delicious but the best part was how wonderful she was to my kids ! Sincerely , one stressed mama”

“This dinner was incredible in every way possible. The food was the best I've ever had, hands down. I've seriously never had a better egg roll, and my Sesame Chicken was insanely good. My mom's Cashew Chicken had so much stuff in it, and the fried rice is TOP TIER. Massive chunks of pork, carrots and peas - I know I've already said it, but incredible. Awesome service as well by very kind and attentive servers. This is the only picture I had, because by the time I thought to review we'd already eaten almost everything, and I know this is in a "ocean" tourist area, so people think seafood...but try Fortune House out, you won't be sorry.”

The ambiance is very nice, we like sitting at the bar when it's just my wife and me. Decor is lots of dark oak, very country club feel, and even though this is part of the Sea Island Resort, this particular venue is open to the public, as is the adjoining golf shop. Golf is available only ti members and hotel guests. For golf fans, what could be more fun than dining in Davis Love's very own grill?”

“Great vibes and great food. I had to pick up order here and I actually had the seafood combo. It was a delectable delightful treat that I have never had such wonderful seafood in my life. Everything was seasoned well too perfection and I’ve really appreciated that amount of effort that went into what they did for a takeout order with the seafood combo. I got generous portion of fresh catch flounder for the day, grilled shrimp, and fried oysters everything and I do mean everything was so wonderful. It was melting in the mouth good even the tartar sauce was good. It was a little pricey at $39 but you get what you pay for and I paid for what I got and when I got was so so good definitely would go back if I was ever in the area again five stars”

“What a wonderful treat dining in The Lodge at Sea Island Oak Room was for my wife and I. We stopped in on a slow post-Thanksgiving weekday evening and were treated to a wonderful delicious dinner. Our server Cericka was excellent. We were seated quickly by the hostess and ordered two Prosecco's. We enjoyed a delicious mini biscuits with bacon butter appetizer. My wife ordered a wonderful 6oz filet with Boursin whipped potatoes, roasted autumn veggies, and scallion steak sauce. I ordered the blackened Redfish with crab fried rice, green gumbo, and pickled Okra. Both entrees were served hot and were delicious. Bon Appetit”

After waiting 55 minutes we inquired about our order and learned from the hostess there was no “cook” in the kitchen. “From the moment I stepped into Sago at Sea Palms Golf Resort, I was impressed by the refined yet welcoming atmosphere. The space is beautifully maintained—immaculate, serene, and tastefully lit—creating the perfect setting for an exceptional dining experience.

I began with a smoked old-fashioned, perfectly balanced with just the right hint of sweetness and smoke, a cocktail that sets a sophisticated tone for the evening. The cabbage cream soup followed, delicate and velvety, demonstrating both restraint and depth of flavor. The highlight, however, was the Friday night prime rib special—expertly prepared, tender, and seasoned to perfection.

Midway through my meal, Chef Chris personally stopped by to ensure everything was to my liking and graciously offered a side of his signature Brussel sprouts, which were outstanding—caramelized, savory, and elegantly presented. “For the exception of ruining my Anniversary celebration that I had planned, everything else was okay. The food was good! Drinks were just strong enough and not just watered down! View was stunning! Service was average, I had called days in advance to reserve indoor window seating to celebrate our Anniversary. I had planned a whole “thing” I was going to do near the stunning view of the window for the wife. When we arrived they pulled our information and one lady asked us “indoor or outdoor?” The other hostess told her the system said “indoor with window seating” and gave her a look of disappointment. As they walked me to my sitting area it was not window seating and table was wobbly. I was unable to do my whole “thing” I had planned and just started off the evening not on a good start, but drinks made up for it 🤷‍♂️😒”
