“My wife and I enjoyed our experience thoroughly! The food is so delicious, I ordered the sichuan beef noodle soup and some steamed pork dumplings and they were stellar. I am so excited to find a restaurant that serves high quality legit Chinese food. I plan on being a frequent customer of E-Tang.“

“No frills chinese takeout. The food is very consistent and satisfying. We've been eating it for years and no other takeout will do. Our staples are general Tso's (!!!), orange chicken (actually has orange peel), sesame chicken, Lo-mein, house fried rice, chicken on a stick, rangoons, bao buns, shrimp shumai, and we just tried szechuan wonton, and they taste good, but the sauce is a bit overwhelming.“

“I’m well overdue for this Chinese takeout (or take away) review. Top China was the closest Chinese restaurant to home when I lived in the area (literally walking distance).
I love that you can order online and pay in store because sometimes the phone doesn’t do justice to the situation.
But, shot out to Top China for honoring my written request online.
We ordered chicken wings by themselves (order of 4), chicken wings with beef fried rice combo, boneless spare ribs with vegetable fried rice, beef lo mein (add bean sprouts make spicy) and fried pork dumplings. Because we spent over $50 we received a complimentary order of sesame chicken.
I LOVE that they have bean sprouts because as I mentioned in another review, most Chinese takeout places here don’t. Their fried chicken is some of my favorite for Chinese takeout in Savannah and their beef is usually really tender and flavorful. The fried pork dumplings are great too, with or without the sauce and the sesame chicken hits but it’s a must that you eat it fresh. I’m a lo mein girl and theirs isn’t bad, but it isn’t my favorite.
I don’t think you can dine in here and I’m almost positive I didn’t see a bathroom which sucks (especially when you’re pregnant).
**I added a extra star, just noticed the notes on my food (without the additional charge) AND forgot, I asked for a cup of ice while I was there (large cup) asked her how much and she simply replied, “no, it’s okay”. I have NEVER… EVEEEEER received a free cup of ice from a Chinese restaurant. There’s always a charge lol and they never let me get ice in my reusable cup either.
Anyways, All in all, I recommend.“

“I this is my 2nd favorite restaurant in Sandfly only because they don’t serve my coastal seafood BUT I have to say this place is my favorite go-to place when I want to chill and enjoy food! Very relaxed, no annoying servers working for a tip ( no offense), just great food, great service, and if you’re lucky your favorite team on the big screen! 5 stars! Roll Tide!“

There are many good places but this one is consistent, the inside is very clean, the staff is very friendly, and ofcourse the food is amazing.“

“This is pretty good actually, I could almost slightly complain it's a little bit overpriced but the portion sizes are really good.
It's not sauce heavy or too dry, fried rice has a proper seasoning blend, lo mien is good, maybe the fried dumplings are kinda mid but not bad.
Good Chinese Food place, so far haven’t found anything better around Savannah.
I'd give the food a 8/10“

“Fantastic family run take out place that has been around for decades. Small and simple with take out only. No they don't do food delivery, no they don't have a website and online ordering. Come in and place an order or call properly ahead (45 min). Food is filled to the brim on every plate, quality has stayed the same and price is beyond reasonable.“

“This might be the best Chinese food in the city. We ordered a lot of different plates and everything was the best I've had in the city. I recommend the crab rangoon and I ordered Singapore noodles with pork off menu and it was outrageous. They knew just how much curry to put in there.
Incredible“

“This place is seriously undervalued, one of my favorite spots great food. (Singapore Mei fun, egg roll, crab Rangoon) all are great ticket items. One of the cheapest places you still can afford to eat this day and age. Staff is always wonderful.“

“Food is always good, but that’s for the atmosphere. It’s been outside since Covid lmao Can’t even go in and sit down like we used to but other than that, everything is very good when you order over the phone they tell you to wait 10 minutes before driving up there So you’re not waiting those 10mins at the restaurant…. And it’s been on point every time all we do is wait 10 minutes. Drive up get food and leave.. food is delicious and fresh every time“

“Good quick fast food place, close to the house. Ask for extra chicken, well worth it. Good prices.“
“My first time here. Nice friendly people, place is nice and clean for a small place. I only waited about 10 minutes for my food cooked fresh. I included updated menus that are posted on the countertop window. When I was looking online I couldn't find anything recent. They accept cash only. I got a large beef and broccoli. This would be good if you can't handle strong flavors. It was cooked good it just didn't have much flavor. I put some ginger and some sauce on it, it was better. Tomorrow I will make some fried rice with my leftovers. I don't think they have an online presence so stop by and check it out. Don't forget to bring cash to tip! Use your leftover change, every bit helps.“

“We always enjoy the food from here. Its exactly what you expect and a lot of food for the amount you pay. Skip the fried rice, get general tso's and the wanton soup. You could feed a family with one order if you don't eat a gluttonous portion size. If you're really hungry it could still last you 2 meals. Good health score and the esthetic isn't updated in the least but it feels like every old Chinese place from a big city amd that's what I like about it. Humble. Good. Cheap.“

“This business is in the hood. The food was decent . I was listening to one of the ladies that was working while she was taking orders on the phone. A bit unprofessional to say the least. The food wait time was good. I give this place a 8/10. Location is amazing. I ordered pepper steak with light peppers“

“Moo shu vegetables were really excellent with an abundant portion containing fresh vegetables and egg. A few wood ear or shitake mushrooms would have been nice. The only weak link was the pancakes, which seemed to be pre-made and a bit stale even after steaming at home (meal was take-out). Still I think quality and quantity of food as well as very reasonable price is deserving of 5 stars.“

“The food was delicious, but the waiter's attitude was terrible. I heard from a friend that they forced us to tip, but I didn't believe it at first. Today, after experiencing it myself, I realized that my friend was right. The service attitude was terrible. They didn't respond when I called them, and they were noisy and rude. As a result, when I went to the front desk to pay, the waiter followed me, asked me to swipe the card, pointed to the tip column and the name column and asked me to sign the tip and my name. The most speechless thing for me was that the lady at the front desk didn't stop them. My God, this is simply a rogue.“

“Panda Express consistently delivers fresh, flavorful food with generous portions and quick service. The Orange Chicken is always a standout—crispy, sweet, and perfectly balanced—and the Beijing Beef and Honey Walnut Shrimp are excellent choices as well. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the food is prepared quickly, making it a great option whether you're grabbing lunch on the go or feeding the whole family. For fast-casual Chinese food, Panda Express offers great value, reliable quality, and a menu with something for everyone. Highly recommended!“

“Chinatown Chinese buffet review | Savannah, Ga
Rating: 3.3 out of 5 ✨
If you’re looking for a classic “pile-it-high and try a little bit of everything” buffet experience, Chinatown Buffet checks most of the boxes — just don’t expect a luxury dining experience with valet parking and imported panda-approved recipes. This is your typical Chinese buffet, and honestly, sometimes that’s exactly what you’re in the mood for.
The good news? Several dishes were actually pretty tasty, and the staff stayed friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Drinks stayed filled, plates disappeared quickly, and nobody gave us the “please leave, you’ve been here too long” look after round three at the buffet line. The selection wasn’t massive compared to some larger buffets, but there was still enough variety to keep everyone happy. Bonus points for surprisingly clean restrooms — always a solid sign in any buffet adventure.
Pricing landed about average for the area at around $19 per person on a Saturday afternoon, which feels fair considering today’s buffet prices and the ability to go back for “just one more” plate six different times.
Now for the not-so-crispy side of the review. The fryer oil definitely seemed overdue for retirement. Several fried items like egg rolls and chicken came out looking darker than expected — less “golden crispy perfection” and more “well done with a side of mystery.” Some of the chicken also leaned toward overcooked territory. On the bright side, at least nobody was worried about undercooked poultry, so there’s that.
The building itself also feels a little dated, and parking is somewhat limited. Thankfully, the restaurant wasn’t overly busy during our visit, so finding a spot wasn’t too painful.
Overall, Chinatown Buffet delivers a decent, no-frills buffet experience with friendly service, acceptable variety, and a few genuinely tasty dishes. It’s not the kind of place that will change your life, but it might satisfy that random Saturday craving for sesame chicken, noodles, and questionable decisions involving a fourth plate.“

“We recently moved to the neighborhood and after reading the reviews, we were skeptical about trying this place. I am so glad we did! Decided to order our usual favorites. Pupu tray and House Special LoMein. I ordered on-line and found out they old school deliver as well. We picked it up just to see how it would go. We were sincerely greeted by a smiling face and the food was delicious ?. Great prices and large portions. So happy to have found our new Chinese go to and right around the corner.“

“Okay so the locals come here and it maybe not on the best side of town but you can go in order your food and come out I ordered five pieces of fried chicken wings with shrimp fried rice and it's always good and quick for $7.95 so if you're visiting Savannah and you want some shrimp fried rice and chicken you don't have far to come from downtown they're right off Wheaton Street and they are good it's an old building but the food is good. Now I do believe that if you are a tourist and you're not familiar with the area around there you might want to come get your food and just not stick around when it gets dark but other than that you are good. Ohh and don't forget to get your lemonade or sweet tea as well they do have sodas if you want that but why not come to the South and get some lemonade or sweet tea. China Star get 5 stars from me today because my food was great“

“Confused why this place only has 3.9 reviews. Went for lunch and got bourbon chicken, veggies, rice, egg role and dumplings all for only $11! Food was hot, fresh and delicious ?. Big enough portions I had enough for dinner also. Hell you can barely get a meal at McDonalds for that price anymore. 10/10 recommend“
