“🚨 Public Service Announcement Yesterday afternoon, I decided to have lunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Union City — Dairy Queen Grille & Chill (6627 Roosevelt Hwy). Those who know me know I’m a stickler for excellent customer service, so when I witness something unacceptable, I speak up. While waiting in line, a middle-aged woman in a manual wheelchair was ahead of me. Sadly, what I witnessed next was nothing short of disturbing. The cashier on duty was rude, dismissive, and downright nasty to this woman. It was clear the guest was a regular, yet the cashier showed her no respect or compassion. Out loud, in front of everyone, the cashier scolded her, saying, “I need you to get your **** together.” Let’s be clear — as a cashier or any customer service professional, it is never your place to demean or publicly embarrass a customer, especially one with physical challenges. When it was my turn to order, the same cashier was just as rude to me. She incorrectly assumed I wanted three #5 meals, and when I corrected her and asked if my meal came with a drink, her attitude grew worse. She slammed a cup, lid, and straw onto the counter in frustration — completely unprofessional behavior. My inner voice told me, “Don’t do it, Kirk. Let it go.” But I couldn’t ignore what I had just seen. When the lady in the wheelchair received her order, it broke my heart to watch her struggle to balance her bag of food on her lap while maneuvering her chair toward the door. I immediately offered to help, and she graciously accepted. Meanwhile, the cashier stood behind the counter, watching and smirking, making no attempt to assist this customer. That was the last straw for me. I sat down and completed the Fan Feedback Survey right then and there, hoping it reached the appropriate management. I made it clear that this cashier needs retraining or reassignment to a position that doesn’t involve direct customer interaction. Her behavior is a blemish on this franchise — and absolutely does not reflect Dairy Queen’s brand values. This location has a wall dedicated to children’s health centers, including what appears to be a photo of a child in a wheelchair. The irony is heartbreaking. As much as I love Dairy Queen’s food and appreciate how clean this location is, I refuse to support any establishment that allows its employees to mistreat customers — especially those with physical challenges. “I used to be a General Manager at a Firehouse Subs in Gwinnett so I speak as both a customer and former manager when I say: this store has a great night crew. Line was staffed and the crew did a great job at balancing customer engagement and vibing to the music while also getting the food out properly and on time. Floor, tables, and sauce bar were clean; chips and cookie basket organized - exactly what the shop should look and feel like. I am a recent transplant to Fayetteville and will definitely revisit this location again.“

“The food is always fresh and I like seeing them actually put the food on my to-go plates. That way I know where people's hands have been. Their prices have always been good and if you get the two meat and rice combo, a lot of times you have food left over for later which is another plus. Which means you get your money's worth and then some in my opinion.“

“While up in Newnan running around with Mom (Tue 3/4) decided to grab dinner before heading home. I've always loved this Pizza Hut. My timing was excellent and my food was ready just as scheduled before heading into Kroger a few doors down to shop. Everything was fresh and still rather hot by the time we got back to Lanett. My only issue is I clearly didn't order extra garlic parm sauce for my second pizza. My mistake, but still traditional marinara and all everything was amazing. Loving my leftovers today. Thanks team. “My experience at Steak ‘n Shake was a normal one. I walked in, placed my order, and the service was pretty standard—not overly friendly, but not rude either. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and it was exactly what I expected.

The burger was decent—nothing gourmet, but it hit the spot for a quick bite. The fries were hot and crispy, and the shake was thick and flavorful, which is always a highlight there. The dining area was relatively clean, though it could’ve used a quick wipe-down in some spots.

All in all, it was a typical fast-casual dining experience. If you’re craving something simple and familiar without any frills, Steak ‘n Shake gets the job done.“

THE PORTIONS ARE ALWAYS WELL WORTH THE MONEY!! EVERYTHING IVE TRIED ON THE MENU IS A1 (MEI FUN, LO MEIN, CURRY FRIED RICE, MONGOLIAN CHICKEN, MANDARIN FRIED CHICKEN & THOSE AMAZING CRAB RANGOON!!!
