Loved the lentil stews and that you can always opt for a vegetarian meal if you desire. Get the hot sauce on it, though!If you are ever on the road near Kapa'a, stop in and try it!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a dirt parking lot and you have to cross some grass to get to it. There aren't easy paved paths around the area.“

“Wow! This was such an unexpected delight and the best food of our week in Kauai. We ordered the mango bread, macadamia cookie, chai smoothie, cut pineapple, and a flourless chocolate cake. Annoyed we didn’t try some of the other food options that looked amazing, including fresh coconuts to drink, sandwiches and wraps bursting with greens, and banana pudding. We scoped out what other customers were eating. There’s a counter with Ayurvedic body oils that we sampled and loved. The stand also sells supplements at reasonable prices. Overall, we were overjoyed with this stand and commend the kind folks running it. We sat at a well-shaded counter and ate everything. My partner said “it doesn’t get better than that,” when he tried the chocolate cake. My 13 year old said it was the best pineapple she’s ever had. I agree with them both. “The little yogurt parfaits are satiating, balanced, and feel like dessert without being too sweet. I also love the little glass jars. I didn't try other salads they had in them, but they'd be good to take on a hike. Had a tasty green juice and chocolate Mac nut milk. Not a fan of the blood transfusion, however beets can be hit or miss. This very much so tasted like straight beet juice.“

The two of the guys who worked next door at the bicycle rental place recommended Pono Market for "local food."We ordered one Pork Laulau and one Chicken Laulau. This was great food, freshly made. The meat is wrapped in taro lraves and slow cooked for six hours. I thought the leaves tasted like spinach, so that was yummy. We were very happy with our meals.“

I hesitate to say that the chocolate croissant I also got had too much butter because I know that’s a very key component of any croissant, but it did seep out of the croissant when I squeezed it. “Fabulous parked Food Truck located in Kapaa! The Truck is located in the middle of shopping and tents, which makes it a prime location to have a lot of fun. We ordered the fish tacos, chicken tacos, and homemade hibiscus juice. They have covered picnic tables that have some overgrown plants, which makes it cool and fun to sit under. The owner hand makes the tortillas, and you can tell. The flavor of the tacos and tortillas are so fresh and delicious. If you are looking to do some shopping and have lunch, stop here! If you are in the mood for authentic mexican food, stop here. If you are looking for some friendly natives, talk to the workers, they are kind, talented, and know good food!!“

I got a couple of spam musubi and they are made to order with unagi sauce and the perfect ratio of meat to rice to seaweed with a slight sweetness from the sauce. “This is one of my favorite spots in North Shore Kauai. It's in the Kong Lung shopping center in Kilauea near a bunch of boutique shops and restaurants. They have a bunch of outdoor seating and I love the cute atmosphere. I went with a group of 5 ladies and we all liked our sandwiches and pizza. They also have a bunch of baked goods like muffins and malasadas. I like that there's a water station but also a lot of drink options. My salad was also super fresh and yummy. This is a great place to go for delicious food in a casual, outside area. “Vacationing in Kapa’a and my wife noticed someone on the bike path with one. We stopped by twice this week and gave a gift card for a new friends child. I realllllly think he enjoyed it as much as we did!“

“Bubba burger in Kapaa is a must the cheese burger and pickle relish. If you have a burger and fries or onion rings and wear your Bubba gear, your drink is free. On Wednesday, there is a farmers market with fresh produce across the street that starts at 3pm.Although the smash burger at Kauai brew company at happy hour(3pm-5pm) in Lihue for $6 is a better value. Bubba does not sell beer, but you can sit on the open verranda and watch the world go by, while you eat your burger!“

The food - from starters (such as brussel sprouts, carrots & mac&cheese balls), to all the entrees is consistently fantastic with multiple layers of flavor & is perfectly seasoned.
