“This is an awesome food truck. They are full of Aloha and also efficient. Both of the crab boil buckits are amazing. The flavors are on point and you get a little bit of everything that you expect to find in a crab boil but its in a cute to-go bucket. Even the burrito is amazing, so much meat and Ono (delicious). Where ever they set up they bring light into the room. Go and support my sistah's food truck because she is born and raised kanaka/suga business owner and her food tastes good.“

“Amazingly delicious poke bowls - incredibly fresh fish straight from the ocean. Flavors were superb, add-ins very tasty. Love the flexible option of half rice, half greens. Make sure you also try the kulolo ice cream dessert - so uniquely special and creamy. Owners are wonderfully friendly. Worth a trip just for this local special place!“

Once a nay sayin skeptic, I’m now a true believer in raw fish as an amazing meal. I can’t say enough about how tasty this food was. We also had the Shrimp Tempura, Ahi Katsu and Limo Oi’o. All were absolutely some of the best food we had in over a week in Hawaii.“

“I went to several great poke places during my trip to Hawaii, and this one was by far the best. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. They say they don't use frozen fish, so the tuna sashimi was so fresh and the seasoning was perfect, making it the best. Even my 11-year-old son enjoyed it very much!

One of the best perks is that (if I recall correctly) any purchase around $10 or more comes with a free bottle of water. They also offer a punch card loyalty program—though I unfortunately lost mine with three stamps on it!

The shop is clean and well-organized. You start on the right side and walk around the displays to select your bento. The service is consistently friendly, and depending on the day or occasion, they’ve even been known to give out a free single spring roll with your meal.

They have a massive variety of bentos to choose from, with white and multi grain rice options available, ranging from classic local favorites to more traditional Japanese styles. On this visit, I went with the Chicken Katsu-don. For right around $10, the portion and quality were excellent. It’s definitely worth the price.

Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a reliable dinner to take home, Mamaya is a fantastic value. Just try not to lose your punch card like I did!

The lunch menu offers either a small or large portion. The small size is generous, I can’t imagine the large portion. Located in a local strip mall. Expect to pay $100+ for a lunch for two. Good place to come ‘to impress’.“
