“Had both their chicken and ribs on the road to Hana and I'm so glad we stopped. Not only was the chicken delicious, but the ribs were utterly incredible! Huge, juicy, full of flavor, and amazingly tender, these genuinely were some of the best ribs I've ever had. Highly, highly recommend”

“Every time I see the open light, my car automatically stops in for a fresh fish option. Surprisingly, this is one of the few places to find a fresh-catch and Captain Sam's has a knack for seasoning just right.”

“We made a pitstop on our journey to the Seven Sacred Pools at Haleakala. Butter and garlic shrimp and chips were cooked fresh to order and delicious. At least two cloves of garlic in our six shrimp!”

“While not visibly on the menu, the taco truck offers a variety of gluten-free and vegan options. One day I simply didn't want meat, so I ordered a vegan taco salad bowl. It was amazing, looked like a work of art, and was proudly presented for my approval, before being handed-off. Lots of young folk working there, and their eagerness to please the palette was refreshing to me after a long day. I'd definitely recommend this place for a decent meal and a smile.”

“This place reflects the charm and overwhelming beauty of its surroundings. We stopped in to set up our little picnic lunch at one of their beautiful seating areas, drank delicious coffee served by a sweet and friendly young woman and made friends with one of the adorable cat residents who followed us around the premises on the walk we took on the stunning grounds before heading back on the road. It should go without saying that the crops being grown on this farm are of a quality and variety that one would not soon forget. Highly recommended stop.”

“Breakfast at The Restaurant at The Hana Maui Resort is fantastic. The food is delicious, service excellent and setting is amazing. Expect typical resort prices, but well worth the money.

Currently they only serve breakfast because unfortunately there’s not enough customers to support lunch or dinner. However, the Hana Ranch restaurant, also owned by the resort, makes up for that.

If you get a chance to eat here, and don’t mind splurging a little bit, definitely make the effort.”
