“Fantastic plate lunch. We first tried the BBQ chicken and were blown away. Came back another day and decided to get the chicken again, as well as the mahi mahi. Both plates absolutely slapped.

Overheard them telling another customer they have a “no regrets menu” and now I can’t wait to go back and order each and every item.

This is my favorite food in Hana and the best plate lunch I’ve had in all of Maui.”

“Really nice place to stop if you’re doing the Road to Hana. If you pass Wailua Falls and keep going, I’d definitely recommend stopping here before heading back toward town. The people working here are super friendly, and they have a really beautiful garden that’s worth walking around. While they’re preparing the fruits you ordered to try, you spend wonderful 10 minutes just walking around, listening to the nature’s whisper.

Speaking about the fruit tasting, for only $25 you can try pretty much every fruit they grow in their garden, while person explains each fruit to you, how to eat it, what it tastes like, and what makes it unique. Everything was fresh, and it was really cool to try fruits I’d never had before.

After being on the road for a while, it’s a great place to take a break, walk around, try some fresh fruit, and relax for a bit 🧘‍♀️🌴”

“We drove from Lahaina to Hana and stopped here for lunch. We had the BEST cheeseburgers. We’re still talking about how good they were. 100% recommend Kilo’s Kitchen. So good!!”

“If you take the Road to Hana, this food truck is a must-stop. This unassuming place has the most delicious food we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing in Maui. Feel like the cook attended culinary school based on the presentation of my meal. A very pleasant surprise.”

“Authentic Thai!! What a wonderful surprise.. food was delicious and made to order.
The drunken noodles and fried rice where the best ive ever had.

“We made a pitstop on our journey to the Seven Sacred Pools at Haleakala. Butter and garlic shrimp and chips were cooked fresh to order and delicious. At least two cloves of garlic in our six shrimp!”

“Da Mean Bean Cafe is probably one of the best coffee options in the area. We ended up coming here multiple times during our stay and had a good experience every time.

My favorite was the macadamia nut syrup, which added the perfect Hawaiian touch to the coffee without being too much. The banana bread was also really good and made for an easy snack alongside the coffee.

There are not an endless number of coffee options around Hana, but even with more competition, I think Da Mean Bean would still stand out. Good drinks, good food, and consistently solid every time we came by.

Definitely worth stopping here if you are staying in Hana or passing through. ☕🌺”

“While not visibly on the menu, the taco truck offers a variety of gluten-free and vegan options. One day I simply didn't want meat, so I ordered a vegan taco salad bowl. It was amazing, looked like a work of art, and was proudly presented for my approval, before being handed-off. Lots of young folk working there, and their eagerness to please the palette was refreshing to me after a long day. I'd definitely recommend this place for a decent meal and a smile.”

“Food truck with friendly, knowledgeable service and fresh fruits and juices—I happily waited to order as the server finished scooping out and blending up a vat of fresh papaya! We stopped both on our way out and then back from our hike. I recommend the smoothies.
