We started our trip here—and made sure to end it here too. The Holiday Burger was an incredible surprise, packed with amazing flavors. The Ultimate Cheeseburger was pure perfection: unbelievably juicy and absolutely delicious.
If you’re traveling to Kona, this spot is a must-visit. It may be tucked away in a strip mall, but don’t let that fool you—it’s 100% worth it. Hands down, the best burger I’ve ever had!

“If you're looking for fresh poke with 0 frills, this is the spot. I ordered a platter which came with 4 poke option and 2 sides. I got seaweed salad and 4 hearty size scoops of yummy fish. Parking is hard to find and there are a few picnic tables for your dining pleasure. Worth it 💯“

“This place has a large menu with tons of vegan options. Everything marked with a green V can be made vegan. Make sure you tell them and they will do it. I got the vegan Thai tea (made with coconut creamer) and it was delicious and sweet! They were out of boba but those are also vegan. For an appetizer I got the Vegan Basil spring rolls. These were huge! They come in an order of 4 and there is a peanut dipping sauce and a Hoisin sauce on the side with spoons so you can layer the sauces into each bite! I really liked the peanut sauce with these the most. They fall apart near the end of the roll, but they are very fresh and the basil is a really nice flavor. I'm also so happy they don't come with cilantro in them! For my main course I got Pad Seen Eww (vegan) with tofu and medium spice. This was a large portion and the noodles were cooked perfectly. They weren't too hard or soft. The flavor was great with just a hint of sweetness. I really liked the fried tofu in this dish too. It didn't have a bad sponge texture and had a nice "skin" that was crispy. The medium spice was good, but next time I would get the next level higher. Not every bite was spicy, just the few that had the chili flakes on them so I would get a bit more. Absolutely delicious meal overall and I will have to come back soon! Reservations are recommended during busy lunch and dinner times, especially for big groups.“

“Love going here. I like their beer and the atmosphere. Staff is friendly and service is generally quick. I dont have much to complain about here and go back frequently. My only gripe was the wings. Although I thought they tasted fine, they were over sauced and had no crunch. For me its a texture thing. I like at least a little crunch to wings and they didnt have it. Pep rolls are dialed in, must try. I do like this place and will definitely be coming back.“

“Our server Piialoha was incredible. While the food, location, and ambiance was wonderful, Piialoha was a difference maker. She was kind, efficient, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We dined there the following day, and it was not the same. The food and ocean side venue were amazing both days, but the service the following day was “normal”, not exceptional as it was with Piialoha. Overall we loved our experience at Beach Tree.“

“We started our first trip Kona side eating and ended it here as well!!! One of the best places in Kona that we found and the staff??? I wanted to take all the ladies home with me!!! They were so cute, so understanding, even when my husband walked away without taking our boxes up food, the waitress walked over cleaned everything up and left the food at the edge so we could see it!!! - sorry but here on Oahu you did that it's straight into the trash!!!
It is with a bowling alley... So... It can get loud but our group thought the food and the service was worth the crashing of pins!!!“

“My husband got a ninja star roll and said this was some of the best sushi he’s ever had. The wait time said 2 hours when we first walked up, but we only got the 1 roll and only waited maybe 10 minutes, so we were really happy about that.

“This place is amazing, the prices are incredible. All of this meat, 2 scoops of rice and macaroni salad for 14.99!!! The meat is so tender and deliciously marinated. Simple, small seating area but so worth it for a quick, inexpensive, DELICIOUS meal in Kona especially if you’re not trying to spend $30 a meal every time you go out to eat!“

“We had an absolutely amazing evening at Resident’s Beach House. From start to finish, every detail exceeded our expectations.

Despite requesting a reservation just an hour ahead, the host was warm, accommodating, and welcoming. We were seated right by the beach just as the sun was setting - the view alone was magical - and the atmosphere felt relaxed, intimate, and beautifully Hawaiian.

Our server, Bella, made the evening truly special. She was not only professional and incredibly kind, but also deeply knowledgeable. She easily guided us through the menu, pointing out which vegetarian dishes could be made vegan and how their mixed drinks could be served alcohol-free - all with a genuine smile.

The food was exceptional - fresh, flavorful, and artfully presented. Every course was a delight.

And to top it off, when Bella noticed us taking selfies, she kindly sent Gabriel over to take a proper group photo. He knew how to adjust the settings and use flash on our phone for perfect shots; something we genuinely appreciated.

The entire staff radiated warmth and care, making this one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Hawaiʻi.

“Got there one hour before closing. Parking is behind the building; there is a homeless encampment to the North of the building but they don't bother anyone. Wait to get in was about 15 min. The staff was quick in taking the order and bringing out the food. Everything we ordered was excellent, we will come back.“

My son isn’t always the most adventurous eater but he asked to try the clams from my seafood stew and pronounced that he “loves clams more than pizza”. It was his first time trying it. I also highly recommend the Chicken Katsu; it's always crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a delicious katsu sauce on the side. “I ordered 2 pizzas and some breadsticks. The breadsticks were the only thing edible. For nearly 70 dollars I got 2 pizzas that tasted like plastic. Worst pizza I've ever had in my life. A shame that an actual pizza joint gets beat on flavor by Costco. I would recommend starving, it's cheaper and you'll suffer less.....“
