The ambience was nice moderate noise, TV with sports on and a bar! Need I say more?!
Was a fun environment! It's a hole in a wall but lovely and a charming place! Met the owners behind the bar, they were very friendly and service was prompt ! They were so nice that they discounted us because we are new locals of Hawaii!

Food was nothing short of amazing and prices were decent and affordable!

Garlic bread - was a 10/10 crispy, soft, super tasty, garlic was definitely

Garlic cream shrimp scampi with mushrooms! 10/10 Definitely yummy ! I crave it! Perfectly cooked noodles, noodles to sauce ratio was on point! Sauce was so delicious you can taste the garlic perfectly cut with the cream!!! Nice big portion for 2 people !

Prosciutto pizza - 10/10 thin crust, lots of prosciutto! super ono !!!

Oysters - 10/10
were amazing and super fresh!

Tiramisu - 10/10 one of the best tiramisu on the island!

Alcohol drinks were strong and affordable 10/10

“Great atmosphere and cocktails. A little underwhelmed by the food for the cost though, filet mignon was good quality but lacked anything special about it. Espresso martini and the Bengal were really good cocktails. Unfortunately our server was not all that attentive.“

“I thought I had made a comment but I don't see it here first I'd like to say the food was fabulous there was no problems with that. I had stopped a busboy and asked him for some more butter for our bread he took a few steps forward first then step back and said well I need a plate you have to take that butter off that plate because we don't have any more plates. I did take the butter off the plate and had it to him he brought it back and he just dropped it on the table it was incredibly rude nobody really said anything until a little bit later in the meal and then it was brought up about how rude he was. This was the night before mother's Day so it was my mother's day because I had to work on mother's Day everything was great except for that experience with that busboy I'm very sad to say that really left a bad taste in our mouth.“

“I pick up lunch from the Pioneer Plaza location a couple of times a month. It's always the large salad ... Which gives you 3 to 4 choices atop some cut lettuce. I usually select the peas and carrots, curried chicken (even though I don't like raisins), tomato and cucumber and the pasta salad.

There are pasta and sandwiches ... my workmates often order that instead of salad. FYI, the large is a better deal ... You get far more food for just a few more dollars.“

“IL TAPPO Hawaii was total surprise! Everything we ordered from the caprese salad, bruschetta, with tomato basil and garlic, pesto ala penne with chicken, the lasagna, the pizza with capacola, the wine recommended was amazing. We finished with the perfect size of tiramisu and a shot of amazingly chilled limoncello. This was a perfect meal start to finish. This place is a must go to if you visit here. “It was truly the best dinner and drink -!!
They asked me if I had a food allergy, and I made a reservation because I was afraid there would be no room, but they asked if it was my honeymoon and I said yes. We each ordered food and the wait was a bit long, but it wasn't boring because there was an aquarium and a good atmosphere. After some time had passed, we were given tiramisu and sulted caramel gelato to celebrate our honeymoon. It was great that the staff paid attention and didn't feel too burdensome.“

“Assaggio is our favorite resturaunt in Waikiki.We have been coming from California for over 10 years and this is by far the best compared to all , even the high end like Halekulani and the Royal Hawaiian. It is the total package. Call for reservation and David pleasantly takes our request .He also serves as the host when we arrive and seats us where we request. We always request Danny as our server because he is spot on as the best. Greets us with a smile and pleasantry and gives us first class service from beginning to end. “I cannot say enough great things about Ruscello. All the food is excellent, the ambience is great, but what is the best is the service. The staff is beyond incredible, everyone is so friendly and nice. When we come we literally feel like family. We are always greeted with a smile. Everyone loves this place so would highly recommend making a reservation unless you are planning to walk in right when they open. “Walking past, there's a good chance you won't even notice it. There's a row of 3-4 shops in one building. Upon entering, you realize just how small it really is. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and patient, this was the first time for me to visit this place. I honestly couldn't decide, there were so much to choose from. I ended up ordering the Hawaiian calzone and the combination calzone. I was not disappointed at all. They were delicious. I quickly realized however that I should have ordered just 1. They were both quite full. I'll be sure to go back there on my next trip to Hawaii.“

“Lunch with the ladies and had a great time! Egg plant parmigiana, create your own pasta, tour of Italy, shrimp scampi dishes we're all enjoyed. Couple of us had the Tuscano soup which wasn't as creamy as I thought it would be but still tasty. We tried the strawberry cream cake, strawberry cheesecake and tiramisu.. all yummy! Service was great and I had requested a table off to side because we can get a little loud and they fulfilled that for us. Thank you, we had a wonderful time! Good food, fun and awesome friends!“

We can almost always find what we are looking for including gifts from local artists and made quite a few friends with some of the vendors. There is something for everyone. Also I recently became a vendor myself.“

“There's a lovely little Italian restaurant on King Street that you should definitely check out. The food is not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly, and everything is made fresh when you order it. This cozy spot has a great variety of dishes, including classic pizzas, tasty appetizers, hearty salads, and sub sandwiches. My favorite dish to order is the antipasto salad along with a small la pizza Rina specialty combo.“

“It is a 5 star all the way around. It has the best food and drinks on the island. Hands down there is nothing better. The atmosphere is incredible and something to experience. The staff are true professionals. They’re able to handle a full house like it is just an average day. I recommend the Kenzo steak, pasta carbonara, the fried ice cream, and the St. Jamison’s. That will set you up for a meal you’ll bring coming back for time and time again.“

“A group of 8 of us had an amazing experience at Kayak Cafe which is located on the corner of Ala Moana Blvd and Ena Road. The service was exemplary and the food was delicious.
Our server, Roxanna, was very attentive, very personable, and took excellent care of us. We couldn't have been more pleased with the service.
The food was cooked perfectly to order, arriving hot to the table, the salads were fresh and crisp, the portions were generous, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choices. We were there between the time that brunch is usually served and the lunch hours, so we were given the choice to order from either menu. Some of us opted for lunch and some for breakfast and everything was perfect.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean and they offer outdoor seating as well as indoor seating.
They have really good coffee, espresso, cappuccino and other specialty drinks. I had the cappuccino, which was excellent, and when two of us ordered regular coffee, they brewed us a fresh pot! The also have excellent fresh brewed ice tea.
If anyone is gluten intolerant as I am, they have delicious gluten free pizza on the menu as well as other gluten free choices.
The management has recently hired new staff and they obviously have gotten excellent training.
We will definitely come back again and highly recommend that you give them a try! If you have been there before, you will be amazed at how much better it is now.“
