“We celebrated a big anniversary at Pai and WOW - they made it extra special. We did the four course menu with wine pairings. The service was top notch. The food was inspired, creative, delicious, and locally sourced. Though the portions of each dish looked small, it was more than enough food and so delicious you wanted to eat every bite! The wine pairings were spot on, absolutely perfect with our chosen courses. The space has such a lovely vibe - clean and modern, but comfortable and well appointed. There really isn't another dining experience quite like this on the island. Justine and Kevin have created such a beautiful place with incredible food and service. Pai is definitely a must-try restaurant. We will definitely be back.“

“TLDR: Melissa is AWESOME! But, if you are gluten free (ie no soy sauce with wheat) or allergic to mushrooms, you can’t eat here.

My husband and I combined have those allergies and Melissa was very kind to ask the chef if we could be accommodated. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible. Melissa was so respectful of how she informed us - aaaaaaand then offered us a complimentary cocktail (which was on point) and a reservation down the road at a nice restaurant that she knew could accommodate our allergies!

I don’t envy her for effectively having to kick us out, but she (and the entire staff) were so gracious to us. Thank you Melissa!“

“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

“By far one of the greatest experiences from food to extremely exemplary service. We started with the tako escargot, then Mac nut covered fish and steak with frites. It was such an incredible experience we cancelled our Saturday dinner plans and came back for dinner. We come from big island and every time we come to Oahu, about seven or eight times a year, we eat at the merrimans. By far the best of the merrimans on the various islands. Thank you to Jackson for great service.“

Their matcha milk tea tastes good as well. Parked on the street. Street parking is free on Sunday. Additional parking behind their building.“

“When we arrived for our 11:00 am brunch reservation Sunday, the restaurant was empty except for one person at the bar. We were seated and our waiter Alan brought us menus and water promptly. There was a nice selection of reasonably priced brunch items. We each had a different type of Eggs Benedict (avocado, smoked salmon, and prime rib), which came with crispy country fried potatoes and roasted red peppers. The portions were huge with large amounts of salmon, avocado, and prime rib on each muffin half. The poached eggs and hollandaise sauce were perfectly cooked. We all thought our food choices were delicious and they were so filling we took leftovers home. Alan was a pleasant and attentive waiter. I'll definitely come here again soon for brunch.“

“It's my neighborhood so I use it often.This is a Whole Foods store in Kahala Mall, right next to Whole Foods, and although it looks like a pub at first glance, the food is delicious. This is a restaurant where you can enjoy just the food without having to order alcohol.The daily menu is a great deal!I often go on ?Taco Tuesday on Tuesdays. The store opens at 1pm in the afternoon.“

After walking up and down the side walk on the east side of Oahu, we decided on this place. So cute and everyone there was so nice and helpful. Only thing we did not know was there was a gluten free option. The green drink & iced teas were served in glass (not plastic) even though we were sitting outside. Both drinks were very good & we were pleased to be handed paper straws vs plastic. Also, another nice touch was the real wooden plates our tasty lunch orders were brought to us on. Now we know why this place gets such excellent reviews!“

“I’ve been twice and I really love the Pretzels. I usually get cinnamon bites and I was kind of sus about the way they made it because it didn’t look like the cinnamon sugar got on every pretzel but was so surprised when I ate them all and they all had cinnamon flavor on it. It’s super yummy and the people that rung me up have been super kind. Really love it!!“

“Lunch at Mariposa is usually a good choice for a business meeting or lunch with the girls. It's convenient and view is relaxing. Audrey serviced us well and was helpful and considerate. Food was always good. Love my laksa curry! Room was little stuffy and warm. We are not sure if the windows needed to be opened for more breeze to come through. Love the location and restaurant.“

“Very fun place to see the best Hawaiian band in an intimate setting. Food was ok but drinks were great. Service isn't great but its pretty difficult with a band playing and people dancing and singing everywhere. But the food isn't why I went here. Bathrooms are super tiny so you have to be patient.“

“Our favorite Big City Diner location is the one inside Windward Mall in Kaneohe. We've known the owner Lane Muraoka before he opened his first location in Kaimuki. He also provided food donations to all my movie productions. So many restaurants turned me away but not him. His generosity and support will never be forgotten.

Now the ono food. We usually start with appetizers fried calamari and fresh poke. My wife loves all their sandwiches. I tend to order the same thing every time. Mamasan's meatloaf with rice sprinkled with furikake. On occasion I get the hamburger steak. Everything on their menu is delicious.“
