“We live on the West side and decided to get food before heading back home from Kailua Beach. We were in the mood for some seafood, so that's what we typed into Google when searching for places to eat. Thankfully, Kenko Ya in Kaneohe popped up, and we decided to give it a try! We arrived around 8pm on a Monday evening and were sat instantly. Our table ordered a lot of items, but the ones that stuck out the most were the Hawaiian, Kaneohe Sunset, and Volcano rolls, the Sashimi, as well as the Sweet Potato Tempura. The food came out very fast and was prepared well. The tempura was crispy and the breading was not too thick, and all the sushi tasted very fresh! We also ordered the Peach Jinro, and we were not disappointed in the flavor. Overall, we had a great experience, finished everything on the table, and will definitely go back when we're on the East side again!

“Went there earlier today and got the wafu steak with the sashimi, tempura(5pcs), and miso soup(included). And lemme tell you they have the most ono wafu steak. You could tell that steak was marinated. It was tender and juicy. You know when your order is ready when the whole restaurant smells like steak. I would definitely recommend trying the wafu steak. It feeds a family of 3 for 30 bucks.“

“1st time visiting from California and my husband's 1st time trying sushi (which took a long time to finally get him to try it). We just happened to find the new place traveling around the island. Evan was working and was exceptional, very friendly and helpful with making selections off the menu. We Loved the atmosphere, especially the Christian music playing. Very clean and a good vibe. We loved it so much we had to buy some t-shirts. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We'll definitely be returning.

“Great service. The refills came without asking. We ordered two kids meals, it came with a perfect sized ramen for the kids and a spam musubi.
We ordered combo B which was a large serving of ramen, we chose the Tonkotsu ramen ! With two other “mini” dishes. A chicken katsu on a bed of rice with delicious curry and a 4 piece freshly made gyoza (extremely filling). The finishing touch for everyone was their pineapple chicken katsu fried rice. Amazing!

The quality of the food combined with the generous hospitality made this experience memorable for us. We are eager to come back.“

“We had a tour guide take us around the Island. We wanted to go to an authentic place to eat, not fancy touristy restaurants. He recommended 2 places, (I won't say the other one on this review, but it was also excellent!) He brought us to Coral Kingdom for the Huli Huli Chicken. It was so flavorful, juicy and delicious! We loved the relaxed atmosphere and good food. After we ate, we went shopping and got some cute souvenirs. I'm so glad we didn't miss this spot.“

Parking: Location is in the windward shopping center near foodland. Lots of free parking. The only negative is the parking stalls are very small. Seems every stall is designed for compact cars only.“

I wish the queso dip wasn’t over $12, but the other dishes are reasonably priced. BYOB at the moment until they get their liquor license. There’s a market next door that might have alcoholic beverages. There’s parking lot is a little cramped, so massive trucks would be hard to park in there.“

The menu has a ton of things on it and we only tried three things (crab rangoon, asparagus with shrimp, and honey orange chicken). I would definitely get the asparagus with shrimp again, it was so good!
The honey orange chicken lacked much of the orange flavor, but it was decent. We will come back for sure, probably with a bigger group to share lots of things.“

“Most likely the best brewery on Oahu, especially if you are looking for hazy IPAs and pastry stouts - they absolutely nail those styles and when things work (which for majority of the stuff I tried from them - they do) they are absolutely on top of the game, and not just for Hawaii, but CONUS as well. Think Monkish, Green Cheek for IPAs and Angry Chair (but better, less clogging sweet), Moksa, or Bottle Logic or for the pastry stouts. They just need to put some of those stouts in barrels (Hanna Banana for example please!)
Anyway, also a lot of fruity stuff that's pretty good, sometimes you may get lucky and see an old school west coast IPA or even a nice pilsner.
Staff is amazing, I do not remember all the names, but Jhonny will surely take care of you!
They will sell you a crowler of anything on tap, or have cans to go. Prices aren't the lowest, but if you are into those styles, you will not be disappointed!“

“Impressed by Pan's Kitchen yesterday! I ordered the fresh grilled ahi, and let me tell you, it was incredible. With the first bite you could tell just how fresh it was - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Just a heads up, there might be small hard time understanding sometimes due to the owner's accent. But be patient, communication works out, and the food is absolutely worth it. Parking can be tricky - it's one of those places we only go to when we see a spot open. We got lucky yesterday with an empty space, but two trucks swooped in as soon as we pulled in! Despite the potential parking hassle, Pan's Kitchen is a hidden gem. Highly recommend it for the incredible ahi (and hopefully a parking spot)!“

My favorite is the Teriyaki beef sandwich, so tender and brilliantly marinated onolicious! Staff is helpful and attentive. “Stunning dining experience. Superb, friendly service that feels like you’re eating with friends at their home. Beautifully decorated. Just the right spacing - you feel both intimacy and community. The fresh watermelon juice was perfect on a warm day. We ordered spring rolls that were light, delicious, and unlike anything we’d had before. For the entree we enjoyed mung bean noodles and Thai red curry. Both were superb. On an island known for amazing restaurants, Chao Phya Thai manages to land at the top of our list of favorites. The ambiance is definitely "greasy spoon", but the food is really good quality, and, since its take out only, you're only there for a few minutes, the dated decor is not really an issue.“

“Down home Chinese fast food. I’m no expert on what qualifies as “authentic Chinese” but this certainly did not feel like Americanized Chinese food. We ate Jai, egg fooyun, with white rice. Very tasty. The server was energetic and entertaining while making helpful recommendations.

Vegetarian options: No vegan options, but three vegetarian options. Definitely has the fast food tendency to be a bit heavy on the oil, but still quite good.“

“Came here for a quick dinner on the way up north. Had their Machiko Chicken Curry Combo. The service was super fast, food came in less than 5 minutes. Portions were huge too, had 6 pieces of chicken with a big slab of chasiu on my ramen.

Taste wise, the ramen broth was kinda a mix of pork and dashi, clean taste but there’s just a miss of umami. Gyoza was just like any normal dumpling. The curry was on the sweet side compared to other places. The chicken was the best on plate as it stayed crispy the entire meal, and juicy too. Just wished it had more flavour like ginger or garlic to compliment the curry.“

“My daughter has a food allergy. We didn't realize that the food we ordered her had a sauce on top that she was allergic to, since we couldn't see it in the menu photo. We had to ask to have it remade. And, unfortunately, it was right as they were preparing to close for the day. The employees very kindly remade the meal. They took her allergy very seriously. It is obvious that they used care to make the new one and did not try to reuse the food from the previous order. We are so thankful for how kindly they treated us and how quickly they remade the meal. Thank you for fantastic service and keeping my daughter safe! We will definitely be coming back.

“I go to Bull Kogi anytime I want a huge plate of meat jun. The cook to order so it does take a while to get your order. It's large enough to make three meals for this senior citizen. They have the usual Ba-Le menu and have added several Chinese dish selections which are also delicious. We ordered the garlic and spicey shrimp combo and the pineapple teriyaki chicken with a side order of french fries. So first off the garlic shrimp, delicious 😋 the spicey one personally for me could use a little work, no disrespect it's just that I have tried spicey, But the Mac salad also good. Pineapple chicken really good and they are big portions. Fries did not disappoint. Recommend and recommend the ATV too.“
