“Love their Papaya salad platters, Phö broth, Sandwiches, Vermicelli, plate lunch combos, Summer rolls, desserts and smoothies. All so fresh, tasty and delicious!! The owner is amazingly friendly and can remember your name and your order from previous visits. Miss the indoor dining.“

“Went there earlier today and got the wafu steak with the sashimi, tempura(5pcs), and miso soup(included). And lemme tell you they have the most ono wafu steak. You could tell that steak was marinated. It was tender and juicy. You know when your order is ready when the whole restaurant smells like steak. I would definitely recommend trying the wafu steak. It feeds a family of 3 for 30 bucks.“

“Pho May VI was a ABSOLUTELY GREAT RESTAURANT if you go to my account on yelp I usually rate Vietnamese places and this one was EXTRODINARY the service was amazing, we had sat down and within minutes of us ordering we had gotten our food I say this place is a success and I loved that it wasn’t that busy so I could have a calm meal with family“

“This shop has been here for decades. You will always find wonderful things to eat. Take out and cash only. I recommend their spring and summer rolls. Tasty and filling. They have the usual Ba-Le menu and have added several Chinese dish selections which are also delicious. Not sure if they still do it, but in the past, they grew all their own Basil, mint and green onions. A very dedicated couple of owners who have weathered the pandemic and continue to provide that old familiar taste and service that we have come to know.“

“The food tasted amazing and the service was really fast. Portion sizes are good and it's a all vegan menu. We got the Pho and the Bahn Mi and both were flavouful and delicious. Parking is not easy to find on the street, but there is a paid parking lot nearby. They also have a variety of beverages including sugarcane juice and coconut water“

“Super delicious rice noodles with the juiciest, most flavorful lemongrass chicken. Just such a delight to eat crispy veggies and herbs on a hot day here. The owner was so sweet too and chatted with us. This spot has been around for ~20+ years, too!“

“Went here for lunch, the food was super good (and that’s coming from a Vietnamese person), all the food came out really fast, there was a short wait to get in though. The only issue I have is that since it is in china town it is super hard to find parking. Other than that it is a great Vietnamese restaurant and I highly recommend it.“

“My first time trying this Vietnamese restaurant. I went during off hours, so plenty of parking and I was the only customer.
The menu is extensive typical of a Vietnamese restaurant, but I am here to try the Pho. The broth is very light, but beefy. Not too sweet. But its missing the essence of the spices, like the cinnamon, star anise, cloves, coriander seeds, cardamom and fennel. Also the smokiness of the onions and ginger. I just prefer my pho broth to be heavier on the spices. But I still enjoyed it. The rice noodles was perfect, and the meat toppings is a little on the stingy side. Also only one size bowl.
I also tried the Summer Rolls with BBQ Pork. It was just average to me. Service was good, attentive and refilled my water when needed. Came to check on me a couple of time. My Mom called me while eating and I ended up ordering the Chicken Pho for take out for my Mom.
They did get busier after I sat down with mostly take out orders.
I will definitely come back again. I like the convenience of satisfying my Pho cravings and I don't have to drive to downtown/Chinatown.“

“My wife and I both stated that our dining experience was worth $200, while we only spent $50 for the 2 of us. Our waitress was so helpful and kind. She explained the specials well and gave instruction on how to eat the food for the best experience. This reminded us of an expensive steakhouse feeling. But this is just a mom and pop small chop with big hearts and great food.“

“Very generous portion for the price. Pho soup came piping hot. The noodle was cooked perfectly al dente. The broth was not overly oily, great taste. Beef balls had great texture, not too soft not too chewy. Hu tieu was delicious with the fried garlic in the broth. Would definitely come back to try other menu!“

“Wow…we loved our meals. We stopped here by quickly on our way from Waikiki to the airport, and easily found street parking. The vermicelli bowls with lemongrass chicken & tofu (and a banh mi with pork + chicken) were so fresh, so filling, and really high quality. Delicious Vietnamese iced coffee. The service was kind, as well. Highly recommend for a relaxed & high quality meal!!“

“You must eat here! Fantastic food and very friendly service. It seemed that everyone was a local and all of the food we ordered was 100% amazing:
- Iced Coffee was a must have!
- cold vermicelli noodles had an amazing house fish sauce. The chicken and spring rolls were tasty!
- pho was the most fragrant, delicious broth!“

“Casual Vietnamese restaurant with a diverse selection of noodle dishes from different regions of Vietnam. I tried the hu tieu Nam Vang, which was a delicious bowl of clear noodle soup. The flavor was solid, and while the squid and shrimp were just okay, the overall dish hit the spot. I’m definitely interested in trying their other noodle bowls. Service was quick and efficient.“

“Today I got to try the Vietnamese Sandwich with the Vietnamese Coffee. The sandwich was packed and with great taste. However, the Vietnamese Coffee was just too sweet for me. A person sitting at the same table as me had advised me that the coffee taste really good without the sugar, so I will be trying it again with no sugar next time.
The husband and wife working here are very sweet people. They are very friendly and helpful.“

“This has been hands down my favorite, go to, consistent, cute, clean, family owned and operated small business Vietnamese restaurant for over a decade now. My favorite dishes are the chicken pho when I am sick (so clean, so healthy, so fresh, and they use shredded white meat chicken for American taste!), the spring roll and bbq pork vermicelli bowl, and when I want something heavier the curry. This place is so wonderful I hope it never closes. It's the real Kaimuki. It's the Kaimuki before all those bougie places moved in and it's better than them all. Prices are really reasonable, food is fresh and tasty, the place is clean and nice, even the ice water tastes especially good! This place is a gem. Five stars.“

*Overall review: Local atmosphere, rich taste of rice noodle soup + noodles are very soft and delicious. Would definitely visit again. Recommended!
This is a local Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown. It's not a modern atmosphere, but there are plenty of table seats and the food comes out right after you order! The food was plentiful and the rice noodles were delicious, so I wanted to order other soup dishes next time. Recommended Recommended
Pho Large $16: It's a sweet broth, but it's delicious. In particular, the rice noodles are thinner and very soft than other places. Since I wasn't hungry, I ordered one and shared it between the two of us, and it was just the right amount.
Ice Coffee $5: Sweet Vietnamese ice coffee.
Ban Mi $11: The banh mi bread is delicious. I was full so I only ate one bite, but it was okay.“

“One of my top favorites. Known for having the Best Pho on Island, so great one of my friends drives from Waikiki to Kailua just for their Pho. My favorite dish is #7 Satay Chicken and Kal Bi short ribs, served with rice, lettuce, cucumbers and a spring roll. Always start with an order of Spring Rolls before ordering your meal. Big portions with lettuce, lemon grass and cucumbers. You can do it traditional style and wrap the Spring Roll or just grind em like me dunk just the Spring Roll in the absolutely awesome sauce they have. The sauce is so great I usually don't eat Cucumbers but with a dip in the sauce I eat all of them. Everyone I have taken to eat at Saigon Noodle House for their first time becomes a regular Customer. My Wife has tried multiple different menu options and none have disappointed her. It just makes it harder to decide next time🤣. During peak lunch time you maybe have to wait but it will be a short wait and well worth it. Recommend for everyone, large portions and surprisingly moderate price. My #7 Lunch 16.90 and couldn't finish it all. Superb staff, so polite and professional. Now just go to Saigon Noodle House and enjoy, you won't be let down.“

“We ordered beef Pho, chicken fried spring rolls and curry rice with chicken. It all came out steaming hot. The pho was very good they add the basil, bean sprouts and jalapeños before they bring it out. Lots of flavor. The chicken spring rolls had noodles and mushrooms they were excellent. Right up there with the best ones I’ve had. The curry rice was a green curry it didn’t say that so maybe this changes. It was full of flavor with lots of chicken in it. My wife’s favorite part was the torro. Over all I would highly recommend this place.“

“I’ve been traveling for a bit and missing pho. This family restaurant that has been opened for 20 years and really satisfied my craving. Luckily my airbnb isn’t too far, might be coming back for a second round of phở đặc biệt.
Really enjoyed conversing with the owner and getting to know his story.
Unsure what the bad review is all about- I thought I had a great experience!“

“It is surprisingly good. I picked this place because it was right next to the airport when I landed, but the food quality wowed me. The noodle was very fresh, it was not some dried noodle that got heated up, but actual freshly made noodles which a lot of other Vietnamese restaurants don't offer. Other dishes are good too!“

“Such a great food spot! Will definitely be back here again when we visit Hawai’i. The amount of vegetables were abundant, and the pho broth itself was delicious. It also came out quick and hot. The owner often checked on our table and asked us if everything was okay. Really nice!!“

“Food 5 ⭐️ portion is great, tasty, broth is clean and light.
Service 5 ⭐️ very attentive and accommodating.
Atmosphere 5 ⭐️chill, I feel relaxed eating, and they have working ac.
Must try their oxtail pho! Oxtail has a lot meat and pcs. So far I have not had highblood when I finish my oxtail pho which is good that’s why I keep coming back. I know that when I finish my bowl I won’t have any problems (but that’s my experience). Pho Time is my go to for oxtail pho, bun bu hue, and pho in general.

“Literally the best pho I've ever had! The staff was super kind and even served us despite two members of our party not having enough cash on hand. The place is cash only but there's an ATM in the 7-11 nearby so it's not a problem!“

“I love Pho and I'm glad I come to this Vietnamese restaurant. Food and service are good, and portion is also pretty big. I start with Pho Cuon rolls, it is ok but I like Nem Nuong Cuon better. For main I have Pho Suon Bo and it supposed to be a meal for 2. Soup is very nice and short ribs is soft and delicious. I'm so surprise that they have flan in the menu, and I like it a lot. If you like Vietnamese food, this place is the real deal.“

“No frills Vietnamese food in a small but comfortable space on the edge of Chinatown.... The food was very fresh and authentic. Run by a local couple/family, the service was very hospitable... Prices very fair. The Vietnamese coffee was traditional slow drip and delicious. Ordered the banh mi sandwich and it was also a star... The bread was fresh baked, and had the perfect texture and softness on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the crust. Definitely recommended.“

“My Vietnamese friend suggested that we order the Super Pho Seven Courses of Beef at her favorite Vietnamese restaurant. It had a good variety of beef prepared in different ways. My favorite was the Lemon Beef Salad that we rolled up into rice paper and dipped into a delicious sauce. This restaurant not only has the best tasting food, they have the largest menu with over 100 authentic dishes. On Tuesday I ate at Broken Rice and last night I ate at Hale Vietnam, so that's 3 different Vietnamese restaurants in 3 days in a 2 block radius. This one is the only one that I ***** Highly Recommended!*****“

“I stopped by to make take out order. But if you do not plan to take it home to eat, it is better not to order pho. It was almost impossible for me to eat out of a big pot of soup.
I also wish the portions were smaller because it also came with a high price.
I enjoyed the spring rolls. 2 rolls for $8.
Pho was $18. So… not cheap for a meal for 1 person.“

“Ha Long Pho is one of my "go to" stops when I'm home...and as always, the ono grindz did not disappoint!!! Summer Rolls: Very large!!! I don't remember them being as full as they were today...not sure if it was a mistake, or a new recipe. As I remember it was so fresh filled with crispy veggies!!! Definitely a 10/10!!! Seafood Pho: When it's an option, I always order seafood Pho! For those of you who know how to eat Pho, you know that beef broth is a must, no matter what style Pho you order. Most places I have to ask for beef broth as it often comes with a vegetable broth...but here, it automatically comes with beef broth. And the seafood was not chewy. I would have loved to see some other seafood represented (it only had fishcake balls and shrimp) but it didn't take away from the healthy portion and umami flavor!!! 9/10 (Only because of the variety of seafood.) COVID Protocols: I felt very comfortable at Ha Long Pho, they require proof of vaccine, or negative COVID test, to enter...and...instead of your spices being left on the table, they are pulled after each guest, I can only assume to sanitize before the next guest uses it. 10/10 for sanitation and safety!!!“

“I don’t normally write reviews but the food here was really good. I’ve eaten a lot of Vietnamese in my life and I will say this is some of the best I’ve eaten. A little pricey for someone that has travelled the world but for Hawaii I guess it’s ok. These are new owners so give them a chance.“

“Number one reason to go there: it is clean. The food is good quality. It may cost more than restaurants in Chinatown but then again there's the cleanliness issue with downtown restaurants. How do I recommend this place for folks who like Vietnamese food.“

“Today I got to try the Lemon Grass Chicken with Tofu and it was great. It was very clear that they were short staffed, but it was great to see that the 2 servers on duty were smiling while tackling all the duties at a non stop rate and could even be said that they were moving at a faster than normal rate. But, at the same time the wait time was longer as it took longer to clear the tables and take orders and etc. Nevertheless, the overall I would rate it as a great place to dine.“

“Was a bit slower when I went in which made the atmosphere relaxed and quiet with a low music playing in the background. Service was very good, I didn't have to ask for any refills and she was prompt with bringing things.
I definitely recommend the lemonade!! I'm not super big on lemonade but she said fresh and it kind of sounded good at the time. Boy let me tell you! If lemonade tastes like this all the time I would drink it all the time!! It's more like a limeade maybe than a lemon but was super refreshing and just so good!
The food is delicious! I got chicken pho and fresh rolls (not pictured as they didn't last). Smaller size bowl is perfect size to not leave left overs and hit the beach after. The flavor was really good with a nice broth that didn't taste watered down. The veggie side plate that comes with it came with plenty of everything for the meal. This place didn't disappoint.“
