“This small pho restaurant serves authentic and traditionally flavored pho. You can order a pho and decide what proteins you’d like. The soup base was true and the meats tasted good. This place was just as good as those top pho places that I’ve eaten in the past.
Vegetarian options: A vegetarian pho was available.
Wheelchair accessibility: Probably not easy.“

“These are the friendliest people, they don’t speak English, but the menu is self-explanatory, and I’ve tried just about everything there and loved it. I keep coming back and I bring everyone I know because of the great service and grate food. “

“The Vietnamese-style sandwiches here are outstanding, reasonably priced, and always made fresh.
My go to move here is to put an order in and then spend the 15-25 minutes while they make the sandwiches at The Curb over a coffee. I take it to go. Most people do.
The proprietors are lovely people and they are busting their asses. Support local.“

“A cozy little Vietnamese cafe offering a wonderful variety of dishes. I enjoyed the Pho` Combo. Good size portion at a good price. The broth was delicate and delicious served piping hot. I have some concerns about black pepper in the broth but it didn't stop me from enjoying it all the same. The staff was friendly and eager to please. I can see myself making a detour to have lunch here in the near future.“

“My wife and I came here 6 years ago and the quality is just as good as last time. The broth is very delicious, no MSG or other additives, just beef broth and aromatics. As someone who has been to Vietnam and had authentic Pho and Vietnamese food, the combination of Pho, Vietnamese Coffee, and the lovely family working there made me feel like I was back in Vietnam. We absolutely love it here!“

“I'm from Seattle where Vietnamese food is better, but my rating is fair. Their bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup), bun mang viet (duck noodle soup with bamboo shoots), com ga hai nam (Hainese chicken), com dac biet (rice combo), and thit bo suong (grilled beef ribs) were good for Oahu. I ordered rare & beef shank instead of pig's feet for bun bo hue. Beef shank was fresh unlike other restaurants that served old meat. Food wasn't strong on the taste which is good for healthy conscious diners like me. I especially love the big veggie plate and soup portion. I had to take leftover soup home because I was too full.
I recommend this Vietnamese restaurant if you want to try Vietnamese food. The restaurant is clean as well. An added bonus is the mini-split A/C unit to cool down from the heat.“

“Very good find in keeaumoku. We were very surprised with the value and the food served here. I have my favorites as far as vietnamese restaurants go in Hawaii, but I think I will add this to my go too.
Parking: Parking sucks here and the stalls are very small. Find street parking, you will thank me later.“

“Tried all the fancy spot on this 2 week trip on Oahu, but this is the only place I'll revisit on my next trip back. They do the classics right & the whole place gives me a nostalgic feeling of being at family gathers with screaming aunts cooking up a feast.“

“We came here to retry the pho after 7 years, and the food was still great! The pho broth was good and it came out very hot, however it took quite some time to arrive. The vermicelli bowl was also a good choice: noodles weren’t soggy and the fish sauce wasn’t too sweet. I am glad my family got the chance to try it again ?“

“Nice small place owned by a couple. The owners are really sweet.I had the lemon grass chicken vermicelli. Based upon other reviews, I had high expectations, but I have certainly had better vermicelli bowls at a few other places in the USA. I intend to go back and try the bahn mi due to praise for it in other reviews, and will update my own accordingly. The owners are really nice, but after asking for more water, they seems to forget as I never received any more. Therefore, I can't give this place 5 stars.“

“Fresh food and very flavourful. The iced coffee was pre-made but full of the right flavors, creamy nutty and slightly chocolaty. As well as the limeade also tasted more like lemony than limeny.
The vermicelli was great, not overcooked, and tasted like they made it today. The grilled chicken had a nice thorough seasoning and wasn't at all over cooked or had burnt grill marks.“

“Maybe you pass this place on your way to Pipeline. Maybe you shouldn't because the food is so damn delicious. Maybe you should come here everyday because you can get a delicious bahn mi in whatever flavor your desire, pho, or a staple Vietnamese dish. Just eat here, you won't regret it. Vegan options available.“

“Stopped here purely on Yelp ratings to try out their pho. Started off with the Steamed Dumplings…wow. So much flavor packed into those small dumplings. The outside was chewy and went well with the stuffing and the toppings. The pho broth was one of the best we’ve tried (and we’ve tried tons from the west side to the east side). Soup was piping hot with tons of flavor. Service was excellent and the food came out fast.
This will be our new number one stop for pho!“

*Overall review: Local atmosphere, rich taste of rice noodle soup + noodles are very soft and delicious. Would definitely visit again. Recommended!
This is a local Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown. It's not a modern atmosphere, but there are plenty of table seats and the food comes out right after you order! The food was plentiful and the rice noodles were delicious, so I wanted to order other soup dishes next time. Recommended Recommended
Pho Large $16: It's a sweet broth, but it's delicious. In particular, the rice noodles are thinner and very soft than other places. Since I wasn't hungry, I ordered one and shared it between the two of us, and it was just the right amount.
Ice Coffee $5: Sweet Vietnamese ice coffee.
Ban Mi $11: The banh mi bread is delicious. I was full so I only ate one bite, but it was okay.“

“This time, I realized that there are a lot more Vietnamese restaurants in Waikiki.I visited this restaurant in 2017 and it was very delicious, so I decided to try it again this time (2024) and took the bus to Chinatown. The pho at this restaurant is a refreshing and very delicious soup. The more I drink it, the more I am impressed by the depth of the flavor.I was happy that the taste remained the same.I wanted to try Banh Mi again during my stay, but that didn't happen. Please come next time.“

“I use it from time to time♪
I order pho? every time,
It's full of volume, the meat is tender, and the soup is flavorful and delicious ?
Last time I went with a group of people, I tried the Cold Noodle, which was also delicious✨
The summer rolls are also delicious and one of my favorite restaurants.
This was my first time having dessert,
I thought it was tiramisu, but the sponge cake was fluffy and less sweet than local food?
Next time I would like to try the custard pudding?(flan) as well?“

“8/10 The famous pig and the lady is renowned for its exceptional pho, and it holds the title of the best pho in the United States. I had the pleasure of dining there three years ago during the pandemic, and despite the challenges, we managed to secure a table. However, in the past two years, we’ve only had the opportunity to savor its deliciousness at its stand at the KCC farmers market, as we couldn’t find a table at the restaurant. This time, we’re thrilled to confirm that it remains the undisputed best pho in the country.“

“Tried their periwinkle soup noodle #70 the first time and it's delicious - a light and slightly sweet broth. The pork's blood cake they used was the smoothest I've tried for a long time outside of Asia! It wasn't the normal hard and grainy texture - amazing! I've been here so many times and every time the food was good. With so many choices on the menu, it's hard to not find what you like for everyone at the table. The service was straightforward and prompt. Sometimes there are people waiting outside, so it's good to be mindful about how much time spent at the table as well. I'm a regular so see you later!“

“On a rainy day, we found ourselves craving pho, and this hidden gem was just the spot! The map led us to the back, but it’s actually located towards the front, right by Suzie's and the vape shop. The food was absolutely ono—really delicious! The restaurant itself is quite small, but the service was quick and efficient. The only downside was that the restroom could have been cleaner. Despite that, we had a great experience and will definitely return!“

“The food was delicious. I loved the squid. Next time I go back, I'm trying the braised ribs. The owner and staff were super friendly. The restaurant is very clean. My wife and I went at 5:30p and it wasn't crowded. By the time we left, it was getting crowded.“

“The Pho was amazing!! The Fresh Vegetarian Rolls were delicious. The rare steak meatball Pho was a treat. The broth was so far the best I've had. Can't wait for a return trip to Hawaii. If I was stationed here this would be a must visit often spot!! I didn't take a picture of my Pho as I was in my hotel room and had to eat it out of the plastic to-go containers. Next time I'll eat in the restaurant. Even if I had a picture it can't describe the incredible flavor. The staff I interacted with made me feel like a valued customer. Thank you!!
Vegetarian options: I had the Fresh Vegetarian Rolls. Outstanding!!“

“By any chance, if there are any Koreans who stop by here while passing by, please go!
This place is run by a really nice owner.
I packed takeout to eat at my accommodation, but you can also eat it at the night market right in front!
I felt bad because of the homeless people in the dark streets around me, but thanks to the owner, I was able to enter the accommodation comfortably.
President, thank you again for your hospitality.“

“I got number 28 (beef, flank, tendon, tripe pho) and I thoroughly enjoyed and chowed down on that large bowl. Their portions are pretty big, with the additional garnishes. Their broth is pretty good by itself, but I love to add some spice/sauce. Service was quick and efficient, the interior was nice and giving hole-in-the-wall, and parking was relatively easy to find (limited spots tho). The next time I go there, I wanna try some non-pho items on their menu :))“

“This is my second pho experience in the district and I can 100% this one was best so far. I really enjoyed the broth and the beef was very fresh. The greens were also bright and crisp. Amazing service, definitely will come back. The pho was amazing! Note that they recently had a name change to golden river, same owner/staff. The place can be empty at times but I think it’s because the lunch crowds eats fast.“

“We went there as a party of 4 in the evening. It was quiet and really peaceful.
We ordered the Pho, summer rolls, a hawai’ian dish and another rice dish. They were all great. You could always pick a “protein choice” for example pork, chicken and tofu, so there was always a vegetarian option too. The pho was perfectly seasoned and the summer rolls had the perfect chew. The service was quick and really nice, the server was very attentive. There was also viet music in the background which made you feel comfortable and “home” :). It got a bit busier as we were planning to leave so that fitted well.
Overall, I would really recommend it. You have a nice view onto the street and there’s a bus and a subway stop nearby.
Vegetarian options: With each dish the customers can choose whether they want meat or tofu/other option.“

“Passed this little gem while out to breakfast down the street the other day. Came back this evening, my husband had the seafood Pho & I had the plain Pho along with the BBQ shrimp spring rolls. “My Vietnamese friend suggested that we order the Super Pho Seven Courses of Beef at her favorite Vietnamese restaurant. It had a good variety of beef prepared in different ways. My favorite was the Lemon Beef Salad that we rolled up into rice paper and dipped into a delicious sauce. This restaurant not only has the best tasting food, they have the largest menu with over 100 authentic dishes. On Tuesday I ate at Broken Rice and last night I ate at Hale Vietnam, so that's 3 different Vietnamese restaurants in 3 days in a 2 block radius. This one is the only one that I ***** Highly Recommended!*****“

“Family likes to get take out from this place so I don't have an opinion on the atmosphere. However, I was surprised when my mom said she didn't see many people in there bc the workers are always so nice and the food is both 1. delicious & 2. generous in it's portions.
recommend the oxtail & regular pho, alongside the lemongrass chicken on rice noodles.
