Must try their oxtail pho! Oxtail has a lot meat and pcs. So far I have not had highblood when I finish my oxtail pho which is good that’s why I keep coming back. I know that when I finish my bowl I won’t have any problems (but that’s my experience). Pho Time is my go to for oxtail pho, bun bu hue, and pho in general.

The seating inside is a little limited, so there can be a wait, but it’s always 100% worth it. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they do their best to get you seated quickly. “We stopped by this place for lunch after experiencing some very poor vegan options in Waikiki. We took some basic items - a fried rice dish, a fried noodle dish, and some summer rolls. All of the dishes were great. We also liked the cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended if you are nearby. Everything is vegan except for a few beverage items. “I only come here for the Pho. The broth is not salty but savory. That's good because other Pho restaurants have you drinking 5 cups of water afterwards. portion size is mid with a few slices of meat and couple meatballs. The portion size will not satisfy a normal adult. I can't say that it's worth it to drop $18 and not be full. It is enough to satisfy the taste buds though.“

“Absolutely delicious authentic food. We had a the vegan pho (tofu, veggies, veggie broth), tofu summer rolls and veggie spring rolls. Other vegan dishes looked equally enticing. Our friends also thoroughly enjoyed the spicy beef pho & classic pho bowls, as well as the local spring rolls.

The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect and want from a hole in the wall pho joint. And the real highlight is the owners who take such pride in their cooking and customer service. They even brought homemade Vietnamese desserts out for us to try at the end of our meal. Highly recommend!“

“Happy chefs is an awesome new establishment in Wahiawa that serves cool drinks. The drinks they serve are Vietnamese coffees, boba teas, different flavor matcha teas. We came just for a quick coffee and ordered the salted coffee. The menu is Vietnamese forward with lunch plates, pho, and banh mis. The prices are great as well. Will be coming back to try the food. I might add that the location on maps is off so it’s closer to the freeway on the corner of Ohai and Kamehemeha.“

This is a local Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown. It's not a modern atmosphere, but there are plenty of table seats and the food comes out right after you order! The food was plentiful and the rice noodles were delicious, so I wanted to order other soup dishes next time. Recommended Recommended

Pho Large $16: It's a sweet broth, but it's delicious. In particular, the rice noodles are thinner and very soft than other places. Since I wasn't hungry, I ordered one and shared it between the two of us, and it was just the right amount.
Ice Coffee $5: Sweet Vietnamese ice coffee.
Ban Mi $11: The banh mi bread is delicious. I was full so I only ate one bite, but it was okay.“

“Casual Vietnamese restaurant with a diverse selection of noodle dishes from different regions of Vietnam. I tried the hu tieu Nam Vang, which was a delicious bowl of clear noodle soup. The flavor was solid, and while the squid and shrimp were just okay, the overall dish hit the spot. I’m definitely interested in trying their other noodle bowls. Service was quick and efficient.“

“Great spot for quick healthy food! All the herbs in my spring roll were bright and fresh. The peanut sauce thay came with was delicious and not greasy or oily, just right!

I had a drink with my bao bun and it was a perfect pair! Great fresh custom bao stuffed with veggies and choice of protein.

I inhaled both of those dishes and didnt get pictures. I do have this tofu papaya salad in the fridge waiting for me, ill definitly be back!

“Quite possibly the best bún (rice vermicelli) I've ever had. The veggies were very fresh and the portions were generous. Everything was cooked perfectly. I asked for pork shrimp and spring roll, which wasn't on the menu, and they were happy to do that for just a little extra.“

Soup base wasnt heavy or overly salted. We were seated immediately on a Sunday at noon. My buddy also got their fish curry over rice and the portions were big. Highly recommend.“

“Went there earlier today and got the wafu steak with the sashimi, tempura(5pcs), and miso soup(included). And lemme tell you they have the most ono wafu steak. You could tell that steak was marinated. It was tender and juicy. You know when your order is ready when the whole restaurant smells like steak. I would definitely recommend trying the wafu steak. My favorite was the Lemon Beef Salad that we rolled up into rice paper and dipped into a delicious sauce. This restaurant not only has the best tasting food, they have the largest menu with over 100 authentic dishes. On Tuesday I ate at Broken Rice and last night I ate at Hale Vietnam, so that's 3 different Vietnamese restaurants in 3 days in a 2 block radius. “No frills Vietnamese food in a small but comfortable space on the edge of Chinatown.... The food was very fresh and authentic. Run by a local couple/family, the service was very hospitable... Prices very fair. The Vietnamese coffee was traditional slow drip and delicious. Ordered the banh mi sandwich and it was also a star... The bread was fresh baked, and had the perfect texture and softness on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the crust. Definitely recommended.“

We walked, so parking wasn't an issue but parking is always somewhat of an issue in Chinatown.

The Bun Bo Hue has pork hock and pork blood, tons of meats, tendons and lots of greens as well!
