“We had a wonderful meal and both ordered the Mixed Plate. The chicken, beef, and especially the fish were cooked perfectly. Our server—“Rodney? Merry Christmas” (as he jokingly introduced himself since his birthday is on Christmas)—was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back.
If you’re looking for delicious food at reasonable prices and a more casual atmosphere, I highly recommend this spot over the pricier restaurants at Whalers Village. It’s a small place, so reservations are helpful.
P.S. Mr. Christmas — my apologies if I got your first name wrong! :)“

“Waited in line about 20 minutes ona Friday at 1120. Was eating by 1150. Pancakes were huge. Almost as big as the plate and you get 2! I had chocolate chip ones and they were fabulous. Wait for a table with a view, it’s worth it. Kind of expensive, but not too bad for Maui. $18 for my 2 huge pancakes“

“Great Food, But Way Too Loud The food and service were both excellent — no complaints there. Unfortunately, the live band playing downstairs was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation and had to keep asking our server to repeat himself. Two nearby tables left because of the noise. If you're hoping for a peaceful early dinner, skip the 4:30 PM time during happy hour music. Great restaurant, but the volume ruined the vibe.“

“I have been going to the fish market next door for years and Miss Arepas is also great. This is my first time trying Okazuya and I will be back. I asked about the sausage sandwich and she said “nobody orders that to be honest.” So of course I tried it. So good! The bread is so soft and the marinara sauce tastes fresh and homemade. Very tasty and the fries were delicious, crispy and perfectly seasoned. It is an off-the-wall order for a place that is stated as Asian on Google but they have a ton of variety on their menu.“

“My sis was running in the Maui half marathon, and I couldn’t be there but wanted to do something special to celebrate the milestone. EmmaLee reached out to me immediately following me reaching out via her website, and helped me bring my surprise vision to life. Despite me being in Texas and the difference in time zones, she went above and beyond to make sure everything I needed and wanted was met. I couldn’t me more thankful to her for helping me celebrate and surprise me favorite person in the world! Thanks will never be enough 😊.“

“So good! We had the Bloody Mary and Boa Monday specials for lunch (1 duck, 1 puffed shrimp) and then came back for dinner later too try the scallion pancakes, kurobuta pork dumplings, and Dan Dan noodles. Not quite authentic Chinese, but very delicious nonetheless!“

“This place is very a very unique and interesting place!! We had breakfast and we’re served by a new server from Cali “ Mati” like us!! And she was not only a sweetheart but fast and one of the only servers doing circles in the whole restaurant and still making sure we we’re doing okay the whole time. The food was great. And definitely will be back??“

“Ulamni offers an elevated breakfast buffet that truly stands out. I loved the mix of classic breakfast favorites—like the omelet bar and waffles—paired with thoughtful local touches such as Portuguese sausage and tropical-inspired pastries. The addition of healthy, Asian-influenced options like stir-fried vegetables, fish, and dumplings makes the spread feel unique and well-balanced. There is genuinely something for everyone.
The dining room is beautifully designed, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for a buffet. No matter where you sit, you get a stunning view of the ocean, which makes the whole experience feel even more special.
Highly recommend starting your morning here.“

“We just so happened to stumble upon Slappy Cakes while driving by in Maui! We decided to check it out before heading back home from vacation and Slappy Cakes did NOT disappoint!! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was great, and everyone was very friendly. Coy was our server and we will never forget how awesome he was!! Not only was he an excellent and very prompt server but he stayed after closing time to finish a conversation with us about the island that left a lasting impact on our hearts. Most would have pushed us out, but not a single staff at Slappy Cakes rushed us out at close so we could enjoy our meal and our experience while also making powerful connections! The world needs more people like Coy!! ❤️ 🥞“
“Great, fun show! Performers were so dedicated to their performance that the joy was palpable. I would recommend the VIP package. Table service was terrible for us…our waiter was MIA until the very end. But, the show was great.“

“I ate dinner with my daughters at OaO and saw that pho noodle bar restaurant was next door and since we all love pho we had to check it out. I’m so glad we did. Everything was delicious, including fhe spring rolls and the fried dumplings. But the highlight was the pho hot pot. I have had pho in numerous spots across north america, including chinatown in new york city and boston, toronto, and phoenix. This pho was the best ive ever had . There was a shank with ribs, ox tail with the bone, and all the other usual suspects in pho combination. The broth was incredible. Finally, the service was amazing. The owner, Lily. and her daughter served us.
Lily has an incredible story that led to her opening this restaurant- just ask!“

“We came into Maui and the restaurant at our hotel was closed. We asked at the front desk and was told this was one of the only places open at 9:30. Not knowing what to expect, we pulled up and the place looked sketchy. People milling around and being loud. At this late hour we needed to show ID. We were in and it was a karaoke bar and pizza place. People were having a blast singing, dancing and eating. We ordered a pizza and watched everyone having fun and I had Ube ice cream. Great food, atmosphere and adorable owner. The only thing I didn't like was the lemonade. It tasted like straight lemon juice. Would go back next time I'm in Maui.“

“This was a great little gem of a place. Really good sushi. We ordered a variety of rolls which were good. Good service. A little busy but it was Friday night so that’s to be expected. Really decently priced. Enjoyed a brick of dessert too.“

“I’m pretty fussy about Poke and didn’t expect to like this as much as I do given its location in the pretty uninteresting food court at whaler’s village, but we’ve now been 3 times on 3 different trips to Maui. We always get the big kahuna Maui Signature bowl with ahi and I’m always impressed with the quantity and quality of the Poke which is always so fresh, soft, and with very little sauce. I love that it’s very ‘pure’ but you also get many other toppings in the bowl too - great combination. Highly recommend for taste and great value.“

“Our dinning experience was good, I had the Loco Moco and it was a hit, 5 stars. My wife had a crispy chicken dish and the chicken was a little tough. So she was a little disappointed. We had a wonderful server, very friendly. We were eating during happy hour which raised the noise level.“

Im not one throw race card but it seemed very prevalent...politely left and went next door to Lelani and was treated great and like a valued customer! please do better Hula grill!“

“Roy’s has alway been a longtime favorite restaurant. Whenever we happen to come upon a Roy’s in our travels to Hawaii, we make a point to enjoy a meal there. Longtime favorites include Szechuan grilled pork ribs and misoyaki butterfish. \n\nOn this particular visit, we arrived and had easy (and free) parking. The restaurant itself has been updated since our last visit, but it feel like it needs a serious update (feels like a huge open room), not just in atmosphere but the menu is still very similar to the one we’ve seen for decades. Is it resting on its laurels? \n\nOur server was fine, if we had to wait a smidge too long (long enough that we were asking ourselves where he went) for him to check on us while dining. We again ordered our favorites. Ribs were good, and the butterfish, while still delicious, wasn’t the dish we have raved about. The salmon was also very good. The chocolate toffee mousse cake was very good, but one should really give the Ube cheesecake a try. \n\nI sincerely hope Roy’s is still around on our next visit. It felt like an old standard that is at the end of its relevancy span.“
“We started with cocktails which we amazing. I had mango mojito my husband had the special markers mark whiskey made for Roy's. Not sure about the brand. It had ginger beer too. Both drinks were great. Appetizer was coconut shrimp. Tender and flavorful. Dinner was Mac crusted ono and mamas Yama meatloaf. Both were on point. Too full for dessert. I felt as if a lot of the staff had worked there a long time. They had confidence and a ease in performing their jobs yet were on top of their game. No slacking. The guy who served our food was picking it up and moving fast to deliver it but took time to explain what we ordered. We will be back!!“

“Yummy nourishing food, and an adorable peaceful vibe. We had the Soba Bowl and Naked Burrito Bowl, and both were full of color and taste. Despite being busy and a small little restaurant, the food came out right on time. We would highly recommend this wonderful little spot. 🙏🏻“
