“We got there at 5p and it opens at 430p. Not busy at all perfect time. Place gets really busy and by 6p it was crowded. We ordered appetizers, Tako Maki one of the specials of the evening...very delicious,...shrimp and veggie tempura....tasty, and the Spicy Hamach roll....it was good, although not spicy at all. Nice amount of food for a light satisfying meal for two. As the restaurant got busier, it was harder to get the attention of our server. Nice outdoor seating even on a windy rainy evening!Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp for easy access“
“We'd been eating our way through Maui all week and we came here on a whim because the place we were originally going to have lunch wasn't taking walk-ins. For me (I can't speak for the rest of my family), this was the best meal I had during our entire trip. We all had different things and opted to share. The fish was great. You can't go wrong with any of the handrolls or poke bowls if you're into seafood; I recommend the fresh Marlin. However, the thing that stood out for me was, oddly, the Ramen bowl. My son, is a finicky eater. He's in that "no veggies" phase so when the soup came, we had to walk back up and request a kids' noodles and broth; which left the original Ramen bowl for the rest of the family to share! I loved it and ended up eating most of it! Next time we're on Maui, I'll be ordering the Ramen along with my handrolls!“
“The meal I just had at Miso Phat was simply wonderful and the highlight of my day. The nigiri was great but it was the chef’s butterfish and rice that made the meal. By far the best sushi and fish dish I’ve had anywhere on Maui. The atmosphere is nice, just limited space.Dietary restrictions: GF is no problem here.Parking: Shopping center parking“
“I can have their soba everyday!!It’s a very calming and beautiful space. My auntie and I had a warm soba with Kamo, the duck. The meat was so tender and flavorful. We finished our lunch with a Soba Cream Brûlée. So good!!Wabisabi is a must try while you are on Maui!!“
“The shrimp or scallop dynamite is their best food here at Okus. Their sushi nigiri always tastes fresh too but not a fan of their fish to rice ratio. I've always loved their server, always so sweet and smiling. It can be a long wait for your food if the place is full. Very small neat area.“
“We have heard from many people this is a great restaurant and were able to finally pay a visit. It is small, and so getting here early is key to a short wait time. The service and food was delicious. Between the four of us, we were able to sample several different rolls and shared some of the homemade ice cream for desert. Unique combinations, very fresh and wonderful taste. We’ll be back.“
“BEST SUSHI ON MAUI ? not only is the place super cute (tons of snoopys everywhere and beach decor!) it’s just one couple that do everything themselves! and the food is AMAZING. super soft rice and fish, and super flavorful! not even super expensive! i got two rolls and the total was $40 including tip :) i think it’s the best food i’ve had here in my two week stay ?“
“The most authentic sushi on the island and better than almost all of the 100+ places I've been to worldwide. Get the omakase and you will not be disappointed. Hiro-san has a wide variety of high quality fish that he presents very artistically. Call the first day of the month for reservations that month. If you don't, you'll probably miss out. Oishi! Highly recommended.“
“Wow! Oao certainly lives up to its name! I was just gifted their Firecracker roll (mahalo Christian! So very kind of you) and it was AMAZING! Highly, highly recommend. It was so fresh and had such great flavors! I will definitely be back :)“
“We heard about this place from The Hawaii Vacation Guide blog. Holy smokes! It did not disappoint!! And the prices are some of the lowest we’ve seen on Maui our entire trip! Good portion sizes, too. I ordered easily online (they have pics of most of the menu items) and our order was ready in 20 minutes. The North Shore Shrimp Plate was so good I never wanted it to end. Kids loved the smash burgers! Wish I had taken more pics but if you need affordable delicious takeout food in Kihei, this is your spot!!! The noodles looked amazing—wish I could stay longer and try them!!!“
“Hooray for another Japanese food option on Maui! This one serving probably 50% sushi, which I don't think I've seen anyone do besides just having 1 or 2 rolls on their menu. Located on the food truck lot across Costco. We tried the unagi donburi & gyoza. The donburi is served with an avocado salad. Unagi was well seasoned with a tasty sauce. The gyoza was nice & crispy & served with a sweeter sauce. Filling was good & pretty generous. Pricing was reasonable. There was a bit of a wait, which is understandable for this type of food, so plan accordingly. Definitely need to come back & try the sushi!“
“Been to Cafe O' Lei 2 times. First time had the almond crusted mahi mahi. Very good could use a little more white ginger sauce. 2nd time my wife had the honey roasted macadamia nut pork. Both agreed phonominal. I had shrimp with thick noodles. Shrimp was large very good shrimp linguine. Our server Travis excellent and very easy to talk to. Come to Maui every other year. Cafe O' Lei will be on the top of our list and will definitely request Travis.Parking: Parking around restaurant also a outside mall next door plenty of parking.“
“Super yummy food. Had it a few times now and love everything I’ve tried. From chicken ramen to the furikake shrimp and dumplings you cannot go wrong. Lots of parking along the street and at south Maui gardens. Lots of tables and some games as well. Vegan options on the menu as “
“What a lovely gem in Paia. Great location and very warm and inviting. Services was really good and very friendly. The sushi was really tasty, my husband had that and me as a vegetarian had the Blackend Tofu. I realize food is pricey in Maui however charging the same for the tofu dish as fresh fish was a bit much. But it was and excellent dish.“
“Had some time to kill before our flight and googled sports bar to watch the Super Bowl. OMG the food was terrific, atmosphere was great and patrons all local. And since we sat at the bar we saw EVERY dish that came out of the kitchen. ALL of them looked superb and now wish we made more time to visit it more than once. Had the bacon avocado cheeseburger and ultimate chicken sandwich which were great but like I stated earlier everything looked scrumptious coming out of the kitchen!!“
“Our first day in Maui, my wife and I stopped in Three's Bar for beers and snacks. We enjoyed the atmosphere so much on the deck that we returned the next evening for lunch. My wife had coconut crusted fish sandwich and I had fish and chips, we were not disappointed. We especially appreciated our server Kimberly P. In chatting with her we happened to mention that we had been there the day before. She asked if we had our receipt. We did not. She said that was too bad for if we had it we would get 20% discount on our lunch. We said that would have been nice but alas... Well she went to bat for us and spoke with her manager who granted us the 20% dicount. Thank you Kimberly.“
“I appreciated they had veggie options! My husband enjoyed his California roll and something else.My rolls did fall apart a bit when I tried picking them up but all was well.It was option to choose in the limited food truck area.Price was a bit up there but it's sushi in Hawaii.Employees were friendly and welcoming.“
