“While on the beach after watching the sunset we decided on a snack before heading back to our hotel. Right behind the Army Museum on the beach were a series of fast food type establishments. We chose the Subway. They were beginning to clean up to close for the night but stopped everything and prepared a delicious sandwich for my wife and I to enjoy. The young ladies on duty were polite, professional and very happy to serve us. Subway has two great employees.“

“Another Hidden Gem here in Kalihi at K&M Drive Inn in Kalihi next to Alicia’s Market.

They just recently opened, but they are slowly gaining many followers. The Oxtail Soup is loaded with 4 nice-sized Oxtails and for the $15.95 price you can’t go wrong. Love the strong presence of Star Anise and love the Veggies and Mushrooms throughout the Soup. It comes with freshly grated ginger as well.

The Fried Chicken Plate which came with 7 pieces of Chicken Wings with Rice and Mac Salad for $10.95. It was good at a reasonable price.

They do Take Out or Dine in. Love the vibe here and the service was very pleasant.

The only negative on this place is not the place itself but the limited parking situation.

“It's easy to miss. It's inside a gas station and I didn't see a sign advertising it (had been looking for days!!) Just like on the mainland- big flame grilled burgers and toppings. Fries cooked when you order so crispy and hot. Definitely will be my burger place here. They have a small sit down area but, it being inside a gas station, It's VERY small. Their Super Star puts the Whopper to SHAME!“

This place has a nice varied menu of lunch plates. I tried their meat jun, hoping it would rival some of the other tasty meat jun spots on the island and it definitely trumps them all! The option for multiple side dishes with your entree makes this place a great with a lot of options to try out.

The staff who owns the place is also extremely friendly and welcoming! Definitely come give them a visit!“

“My daughters and I went to have breakfast and when it was time to leave my car would not start. The manager, Howie came out and was so kind and compassionate as he saw that I was having a melt down unsure what to do being a single mom. Howie then kindly asked if he could take a look and knew what exactly to do, jumping my car and calmly explained to me what to do and that everything would be okay. It was so nice of him to help me and my kids in this moment, it’s rare that people will go out of their way to help strangers now days. Not only was the food and customer service exceptional but everything about this location is pure genuine and excellent! I would definitely make the drive here from Ewa just because of the overall service and care Howie and his team provided!!!“

“Gave it 5 stars because no 1/2 star. Food and sauces was just good but nothing special about it. The fried chicken wings taste ordinary, although the strips were a bit crispy. I kinda feel bad for them that they're right next to Jollibee. They have good fries selection and the chips that came with the chicken taste fresh and crispy and not oily. I think they call it Jojo chips.

The atmosphere and cleanliness are very good.
If you order the most basic combo set, it will be enough for an adult man to eat alone.
Adult women eat a lot of drumsticks, but four pieces of chicken fillet is a lot.
The coleslaw provided when ordering a combo tastes like melon.
Canes sauce tastes like an old chicken restaurant salad mixed with mayonnaise and ketchup.
The bread baked like French toast is fluffy and moist, but crispy on the outside. It has a lot of buttery flavor and is not sweet but salty.
French fries are nothing special.“

I don't know if in any way that the two are related by ownership but if the name wasn't different I would have thought I just ordered from L & L drive inn. I took the plate home, I ordered a barbeque burger with cheese and French fries which was very large for a regular order the barbeque burger again tasted like it came from L & L's??? It was very good as I love barbeque local burgers maybe as long as it's local they all taste great but if it's just a chance everything reminded me of another place I apologize to the owner. There was so much to choose from that it took a good 15 minutes to decide and what mainly made me decide on what I chose was one I live like I said Barbeque burgers but also everything seemed to be over priced including the small cup size soda. I doubt I'll be going there again just bcuz the prices seemed ridiculously high. And it also took forever for them to make my order and you can see them cooking. Maybe they need more cooks.
