“This spot is straight heat. I always come here for their plate lunch with the cake noodle upgrade. It’s honestly a great deal since it comes with your choice of protein, cake noodle, cabbage, and a gau gee. They even give the sauce on the side so the cake noodle stays nice and crispy. This time we got two duck plate lunches and a pound of roast pork. Everything was tasty and delicious, and this place is always my go-to for duck and roast pork.“

“Today was the first time my family and I have visited this restaurant. With such great reviews I had to come check it out for myself. I was craving Chinese food and found this place on google. When we got there we were greeted by the kind owner and his employee. We got there a bit late but were happy that they still had manapuas, rice cakes and bentos. We most definitely be back because the hospitality was great and we really appreciated how welcoming they are. Thank you for the delicious food especially the tasty fried coconut mochi balls😋☺️.“

“I LOVE THEIR CURRY STEW, HOT SPICY AND SO GOOD! YOU GET LOTS OF MEAT POTATOES AND CARROTS. REMINDS ME OF THE OLD ALAMOANA FOOD WAGON. THAT HAD LINES EVERYDAY, THIRTY YEARS AGO. I WAS SO HAPPY TO FIND THIS PLACE!“

“The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant was an unexpected find. We try to find non-touristy and local restaurants. It’s about 35 minutes from Honolulu. Annika (sp?) was a wonderful server. She answered all our questions, gave perfect suggestions and was very attentive. The food was delicious and had leftovers (we ordered a lot). We had crab rangoons & the soft won tons as appetizers. Pat ordered the General Tso’s Chicken Plate and half Roasted Duck, which he LOVED. I ordered the Pepper Garlic Pork Chop (DELICIOUS!!) and Hawaiian Fried Rice. I asked for sau-sau-an (sp? a type of Filipino vinegar garlic dipping sauce), which added to the taste of the pork. The Ube Ice Cream was a delicious surprise. The reason for the 4 stars for food is because the fried rice was a little overcooked. If we were staying longer, we would go to it a few more times. If you get a chance to go, you won’t be sorry.“

“Ordered their roast pork and char sui. It is the best! They do run out so it is best to call before heading out in the afternoon; especially on the weekend. (Learned the hardway...picked up after lunch and decided to get more. It was about 3pm - ran out! Maybe had a big take out order?)
There can be a long line and only one person who chops the meat up.“

“Second time back here with friends for lunch. I got the laksa and it was delicious. Great service. Nice place to have lunch or dinner with friends. The pancake was delicious, not too sweet and very light. I was greedy and order a bowl of pickled cabbage and fish with rice noodle home.“

“I usually call in my order so I don't need to wait in line. But, they are busy especially during late morning and lunch time that they don't answer the phone right away. Need to call several times before someone answers. Once in awhile you would have to wait for someone to help at pick-up counter because they are helping the walk-in customers.
They do have a good selection of food, but if you go too early not all choices are out.
Note: Bring back the regular size Azuki Bean manapuas!“

“My son and I walked in for a late lunch. The atmosphere was clean, bright and lively. The staff greeted us with a smile and invited us to sit down. I ordered Lunch Plate B, and it was delicious and the proportions were generous! My son ordered Egg Flower Soup which we shared, also yummy! I can't remember what his entree was but he said it was delicious!“

“Another Wahiawa Gem! Was waiting at another Chinese restaurant for them to open and got impatient and wound up here. Was only craving egg rolls and crispy gaugee. The price here is .99 per piece which is way cheaper than most Chinese restaurants in Hawaii. I got a clam shell full with a side of hot mustard and oh my goodness… I’ve had gaugee and egg rolls from just about everywhere and this has been the best I’ve had on island! Can’t believe I’ve passed this place over and over. Will be taking my family back (tonight haha) mahalo“

“I randomly decided to try out this place and I got the Garlic Chicken plate. The chicken was cooked very well and the service was super fast (I was there at 9 PM). From walking in the ambiance was honestly not there. I feel like if this place had a good feel when you walked in, it could be top tier. I would've given it 4.5 stars if it was possible because it was missing just a little bit of flavor, but I understand that it is primarily a ramen restaurant. I will definitely try it again!“

“Always great service at this location & the food is always fresh & hot. Jane an employee told us about the Panda App & helped us & waited patiently for us to download it so we could get a discount. She was so helpful & accommodating! Now we will use our Panda App all the time thanks to Jane at Panda Express Waipio Hawaii.“

“New owners as of Oct 24. No more lunch special, more concise menu and an updated feel! I think the portions are a but bigger and the food tastes a bit more ono! Faves are still sweet sour fish, salt n pepper shrimp, and steamed fish. The owner is the chef and Kelly usually runs the front house! I will enjoy continuing to go eat here! There is a new 3% credit card surcharge.“

I was not disappointed. Good portions. Good taste. Fast and friendly service. This place has been here since the 20th century. A mainstay of pearl highlands.“

“Friend mentioned to check out panda's website for a $25 family deal which includes two sides and three entree items... for a family of four it's quite a lot and the same family pack usually close to $40. During this shelter-in-place time it was a very good deal. Easy to order online, you just show your confirmation number to the worker at the make-shift counter that is now placed at the entrance to the establishment. You can also select what time you want for pick-up.“

“This was a take-out, so other than getting the right order and meeting the time they say would be ready for pickup. This restaurant has been in this location since they opened up in that location, but remember them located where Highway Inn is and them needing a bigger space, so there you go, another oldie but goodie food place.“

“This is a takeout place so the restaurant is nothing special but what it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in food and value. The family and I went for dinner, grabbed takeout to head to the beach and watch the sunset. Portions are huge. You can easily get 2 meals out of this if you wanted (but we didn't because we like to eat). We got the thicker noodles which were garlic-y and delicious. The sweet and sour spare ribs are fall off the bone without being too sweet. Loved them. The pork is also very tender and delicious. orange chicken was probably our least favorite. Tender and fresh but not very strong in the orange department. The chicken katsu is ok, I'd skip it and get the pork. Beef with broccoli was also delicious. Great food as a whole!“

“Typical Panda Express in a small strip of shops next to Walmart. Strip parking is usually available but walmart lot neighbors with lots of parking. Love the super greens option as a base. Kung pao chicken and broccoli beef are always great. It would be nice to get the brown rice back.“

“Great food and friendly service. Don't let the location or the outside appearance scare you off, this is an excellent place for a quick and cheap meal. We fed an adult and 2 kids for breakfast for $14 total. Can't beat that anywhere in Hawaii. We'll be back.“

“Always hit the spot. I tend to stay away from the rice it's not good to me, but the chow mein a great. Orange Chicken is usually cooked pretty recently, and beef broccoli is very good. Rangoon and spring rolls are as well. I stay away from the chicken teriyaki because the thighs always seem to have a weird texture, and the sauce sucks(just a Panda Express problem and just a personal preference)
They are always nice and give more generous portions than other locations usually.“
