“Walking into this place I immediately felt like I was on West Texas! The decor on the walls, the music, the owner greeting you invitingly…it was the perfect ambiance for a Sunday family brunch. Charming and authentic!

The chips and salsa were on the table fast and were SO GOOD. The chips were thick, obviously made in house. The salsa was spicy and so delicious my husband was drinking the cup.

Reasonably priced and the food was spot on. We lived in El Paso for years and this was the best Mexican food we’ve had since then.

We will definitely be back. Next time we will save room for dessert (fried ice cream or churros). The food was so good we just stuffed our faces!“

“First time here for this local resident! I've driven past this intersection for decades and have no idea when this business popped up. Great location, parking, outdoor seating (kid and dog friendly), and a solid, healthy menu. I had the vegetarian burrito with tofu, and scarfed it down before remembering to take a picture. That's how good it was. A trickier proposition when it's raining, but that's also when the flies leave the area.“

A short Uber ride later we ended up in this little place with huge portions of different kinds of Poke. I am not a a spicy type eater so the poke nachos I had were perfect and the Ube cheese cake delicious. So fresh! I'm glad we found this hidden gem and I hope you find it too!“

“So it’s like this… Kua ‘Aina Sandwich Shop has got to be the best burger for the job if you’re hungry amidst shopping for all the great gift ideas!! Bacon burger with all the fixings and also with the green chili Tabasco is mayjah and it scratches the itch every time. Really good as a medium rare burger. So juicy!! One of my favs!! Kudos!!“

I've had the pollo asada and the chorizo & egg tacos, both with rice and beans. 🤤 This is a Veteran/family owned business that takes their food creations and customer relations seriously. It is also SoCal Mex based flavor-wise and takes me back to the neighborhood taco shops in L.A. and San Diego. I look forward to eventually trying everything on the menu.“

Staff are kind and they serve up really delicious shrimp dumpling, half moon, and shumai. Portions are large considering how much filling they add. Highly recommended“

“A nice find on the Leeward side if you don’t want to eat at a resort price of Ko Olina or franchised fast food on the Leeward side. The service was super friendly, and the eating area has seen its better days, but comfortable nonetheless. The food itself tasted good, but the beef slices were very tough to chew. The garlic shrimps were decent. All in all, it was a nice place to have lunch in this area.“

The music they played was some of our favorites and brought back lots of feel-good memories. The food was fantastic and we shared a couple appetizers. I used to work at this mall across from this plot, and Pearl ridge used to lease this plot to all kinds of different restaurants. I was never really interested in trying Lassons but my mother asked me to meet her here for lunch one time. That was all it took for me to constantly think about this place and their food. I kept coming back and kept coming back for more I still can’t stop coming back here. I had the pleasure of meeting who I think was the owner and let me tell you he’s the nicest most generous restaurant owner I’ve ever met!! Encouraged me to try other things on the menu I didn’t even THINK I’d like everything is hands down amazing, I’m not a pork eater but he asked me to “just try” the spicy pork and holy SHIT my eyes rolled to the back of my head it was so good!!!!! Definitely a hidden Gem and as long as Pearl ridge keeps leasing to them ima keep coming back 🤍🤍🤍🙏🏼“
