“The reason we went to Jack in the box is because, on 1st year anniversary, we were to Hawaii and we spent all of our money and the only thing you can afford for the last day, was he Jack in the box. So we decided to go back again for a 30th anniversary. I still love the tacos.“

“A hole-in-the-wall place with a ~really~ good burger and fries. Probably the best on Waikiki, or at least the best I've found so far. Generous portion sizes, too. The only knock I can give is it's not "fast" food, like you might expect for a hole-in-the-wall place: Burger was (perfectly) made to order, so it took around the same amount of time to make as it would in a sit-down restaurant, but other than that, it was great. If you're looking for a burger you can grab and take to the beach, this is the place to get it.
Parking: Only parking is what you can find in the garages on Waikiki.“

“This was the first place we stopped to eat lunch at when we got to Waikiki and it did not disappoint! As soon as we walked in, the manager Christine was welcoming and made us feel like we were family! The burger was sooooo good! We will definitely be back for sure!“

“OMG. Best.Tacos.Ever. Hadn't read reviews, just stopped while walking through the neighborhood. We're not foodies, not overly impressed by fancy plating or odd combos, but loved the great food and super-size portions at this small funky family-run restaurant just outside of Waikiki. The fish and kal-bi tacos were rich with flavor, the surprise of tuna in the mac salad was creamy and delicious, and the crunchy sweet coleslaw brought all the flavors together. Broke da mout', for realz!“

“Staff at Lulu’s couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful if they tried. We went last night as a large party and they were so wonderful! Accommodating all of our needs, including moving our table due to a sensory overload for one of my children. Our server was outstanding, from helping with a suggestion for parking to getting all of our meals and drinks perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful night“

“The attention to quality and detail made for the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The crispy cheese slider was over the top. The chicken taco meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. This is the kind of food I’d fly back to Hawaii just to eat.“

“My wife and I recently had breakfast at this restaurant and then supper a few days later. We decided to go back because of the quality and quantity of food and drinks there, but mostly because of the amazing service we received. Noah and Dorine, you were absolutely amazing and we would absolutely go back, if ever we were in Waikiki again.“

“Cute little hole in the wall but gets a bit hot, smokey and crowded. Hard to find parking but still worth it! We order online and grab & go. Love these burgers! Special sauce, sweet buns, simple & delicious! Definitely recommend. There's something special about these. You will crave them.“

“Just a good ol fashioned hole in the wall burger joint!
The green river drink was so good- we love an unnaturally neon beverage!
I don’t think I would get the Hal burger again. The steak was pretty dry and didn’t mesh as well with the burger as I thought it would. I also got their OG deluxe burger and that was significantly better. If I were to do it again, I’d order it without lettuce and tomato and do extra onions!
The fries were a little cold but I could see them being very good when hot. It’s also super affordable and would definitely come through again!“

“These burgers were pretty tasty. I actually ended up just getting the Keiki meal with the cheeseburger, which was still pretty flavorful. My husband ordered the Hawaiian Kai, which he liked a lot. The employees were helpful and kind. It took about 10 minutes to get our food which was expected given the type of food they were preparing. We were there around lunch time so the dining room was a little busy, but we were still able to find a table to sit at. The drinks are self-serve with refills as long as you are dining in. There is no public bathroom.“

“They’re open until 01:30 AM now and thank goodness, because we skipped dinner to go fishing. Their fried chicken is crispy, succulent, and well-seasoned with a nice kick to it. If you’re a fan of the spicy chicken at Jollibee, this is the leveled-up sister. And their mala tang soup…drool worthy. I love spicy soup but they were sold out of spicy beef, so they offered to make their original beef spicy for me. You can adjust the spice level and I asked for mine to be “spicy spicy”, and they didn’t disappoint! There was a nice dose of chili oil and garlicky mala heat, but not so much that it drowned out the flavors. The broth itself has a rich, nutty flavor, reminding me of a wilder version of tan tan ramen. They use saimin noodles and top it with fish balls, meat balls, thinly sliced meat, sliced potatoes, and quail eggs. I didn’t get any pictures this time because I couldn’t resist inhaling my meal, but I’ll be back for sure!“

“Great little diner to stop in and grab a burger. I had the barbecue bacon cheeseburger. It was absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly. Burger patty was well-seasoned. Cheese was nice and melty came with grilled onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, thousand island dressing, and a nice sweet and zingy barbecue sauce. Will definitely be back to the Honolulu Burger company for another cheeseburger. Aloha!“

“I came here on 2 seperate occasions and I have a mixed rating for it.
I would say the food is excellent. Very very good stuff.... but the wait time is atrocious.
I had an aloha smash burger, a loco Dog, and a chicken sandwich on the 2 trips. The food was fresh, great tasting and the fries were outta this world tasty.
Now onto the issues. I work in the food industry and have ran pretty much every cuisine under the sun. I have done so for 15 years and I think the wait times are ridiculous. Both times I went there I literally had to wait 50 minutes one night and an hour and 10 minutes the next night for food.
I would have just gotten a refund and went somewhere else if other places were open because while the food is absolutely top notch, the wait times make it not worth it and there wasnt many people ahead of us either of those times. 7 customers first night, 9 customers the longer night.
I understand they are working out of a small area with limited resources but it seems as though they have outgrown their space. 50-70 minutes for a burger, fries, and hot dogs is ridiculous any way you slice it.
Those guys are working hard and they're ingredients are fresh but from one chef to the next, you need to expand to a new area to allow yourself to grow. Working off of a small flat top and a table top plug in deep fryer will not being able to keep up with the demand and im hoping for the sake of your restaurant, it doesn't tarnish your reputation because as I said above..The food is phenomenal and these guys can cook up a mean dinner.
Only issue is they are holding themselves back from moving to the next level with the small space and crazy wait times.
When you can only do one ticket at a time because of limited space, the current work model isnt going to work out long term. I dont mind a wait for good food but I have to admit, this was the longest wait time Ive ever experienced for food in any setting.
I hope you guys live long and prosper because you know how to cook some great food. Take the risk and jump into a bigger space, I have faith you will be successful.
Only hesitation I have in returning again in the future is placing an order at 9pm but not being able to eat until after 10pm even if the food is phenomenal.“

“I got all of this for just under $15. That’s crazy for 2025, this place is a hidden gem!
I got a 1/2 lb burger with fresh avocado and bacon, lettuce tomato. That’s double the meat you get at McDonalds largest burger, less expensive, and it’s fresh on a sweet bread bun. You can also get a full lb meat burger. The owner makes the fries fresh to order too, and I got a large drink. Burger is really juicy, I recommend getting it with the avocado and bacon.
Store keeps the lights dim but they’re open. A lot of people come in to take their food to go. Really affordable and fresh“

“Clam chowder was very good and came out hot. Hen of the wood mushroom salad was very good also. Smoked prime rib was a little tough, not much smoke flavor but portion size was good. A group of women were seated on the same table as us next to the window and even though there were on the other end of the table, they were so loud talking and laughing it was quite distracting.“

“Love this place! It’s always a must when I’m in Waikiki. They have something for everyone, from their delicious, juicy burgers to their perfectly seasoned, scrumptious garlic shrimp. The service is warm and friendly, the food quality is consistently excellent, and their portions are generous. Can’t wait to come back!“

“One thing I really like about Teddy’s is that each burger has its own vibe, they’re not cookie-cutter, which keeps things interesting. I usually go with the single Kaneohe Burger with tots and a drink, and I’m done!!
If you’ve got an appetite like Joey Chestnut, and looking for that “Broke da mout’ and den pau” experience, go for that Triple burger option 🍔. It’s a beast of a messy stacked burger, and total investment of time, body and soul . They’ve got tons of creative options for every kind of burger lover, from classic builds to wild combos.
Just keep in mind, a great burger takes time here. It’s not fast food, and that’s a good thing. Expect to wait a bit, especially during peak hours. But when it hits your hands that juicy, hot, and loaded burger is totally worth it.
Overall, Teddy’s is easily one of the better hamburger spots on the island. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s a solid stop when the burger craving hits.“

“The burger was good but the meat was kind of thin, and the fries were too thin for what you pay for. It is overpriced but I would go back as the food is good. There isn't much seating, especially when it is Saturday at lunch hour, it took us longer to find a seat to eat than it did to wait for my food.“

“We started with a share plate of one night in Bangkok spicy shrimp. These were divine with just enough spice! Following this we had the grilled salmon. The sweet and spicy mustard glaze was delicious. Would have like a little more of this. We dined here twice during our stay in Waikiki. Our waiter, Tyler was very attentive and provided excellent service. The atmosphere was great with some flashbacks tunes playing in the background.“

“I have been shopping there for many years and love the selection of vendors that are there. “Came here for breakfast and ordered a bowl of wonton saimin. The broth was light and comforting, while the noodles were pleasantly chewy. I enjoyed the wontons, which were perfect “one-biters,” well-seasoned, and delicious. Service was friendly and engaging. The place has history and has been around for a long time, making it fun to visit and see locals enjoying their meals. Parking can be difficult, but it is worth it for the food. Also, it's cash only so leave the cc tuck away.“

“Impressed by Pan's Kitchen yesterday! I ordered the fresh grilled ahi, and let me tell you, it was incredible. With the first bite you could tell just how fresh it was - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Just a heads up, there might be small hard time understanding sometimes due to the owner's accent. But be patient, communication works out, and the food is absolutely worth it. Parking can be tricky - it's one of those places we only go to when we see a spot open. We got lucky yesterday with an empty space, but two trucks swooped in as soon as we pulled in! Despite the potential parking hassle, Pan's Kitchen is a hidden gem. Highly recommend it for the incredible ahi (and hopefully a parking spot)!“
