“As a queer and trans person, lately when coming down to Ames I’ve felt a bit skittish in public. I also have celiac (gluten free) and my wife has a dairy allergy so finding food in town can be a challenge to say the least. In this context, Lockwood truly felt like an oasis of sorts. I want to sincerely thank them for their work to cultivate the space they have and to thank them for giving me hope for the future of Ames itself. I feel truly seen in a positive way for once!“

“Gluten free menu!!! My daughter has Celiac’s disease & it was SO great to be able to sit down in a restaurant & have a safe meal for her to eat. Our hometown doesn’t offer this kind of menu so we were so impressed to find this gem of a restaurant. Great service & great prices. “We can always count on Applebee's for consistency. Food was steaming hot, fresh and tasty. Store seemed a bit short of staff, but might be employees lunch time, too. One thing that needs attention is the glass near and on, the front door. I was a bit nervous that we had found the one Applebee's that wasn't up to par, but I was wrong, clean the glass spotless and that's solved.“

“This is one of my favorite places to eat! I love the Pick 2 options because I can get a sandwich and a salad that I actually like. The people at the register are always so helpful!!! I forgot to tip this last time and I felt so bad. She had helped me remember the sandwich I wanted and gave me recommendations on what salads I should try.“
