“Baxa at Sutliff Bridge is a slice of 1980s small town Iowa bar and grill. Old, rustic country store vibe with dollar bills tacked to the ceiling and friendly servers who know everyone. Burgers with taste that stands alone and lots of bacon. I recommend the sweet potato fries over the regular Ore Ida French fries. You must pay in cash or check so come prepared. Not as cheap as I had heard--inflation is everywhere.“

“Hilltop is a local dive and neighborhood bar with a great menu. 3 pool tables in the back, several TV's with Iowa games featured. Great selection of canned and bottled beverages. They recently expanded their NA selection. This is a great spot for conversationalists, lunch specials, and the rural, urban crowd this spot draws in. Open Tuesday through Saturday“

Prices seemed reasonable. The place was noisy so it was hard to socialize with my friends. Otherwise, a good place to eat and would go there again if in town.“

“Every time we come here everything is on point. Service from the hostess to the waitress is fantastic. And the food omg the food is always delicious, hot and fresh. About 3 months ago had their Monte Cristo which so damn good. Their onion rings are huge and very tasty.
Their chicken sandwich is one of the best of I have ever had. Their breading on their chicken breast was absolutely amazing and flavorful. Pickles were very good and the mayo had some nice flavor to it as well. It's a must got to every time we are in Coralville. So go if you have a chance“

“Thank you so much for being open on Thanksgiving and taking online orders! Iowa City businesses were all closed but thanks to this establishment, we were able to get two hot steak dinners for an affordable price and they were good. The temp requested for the steak was med-rare and they nailed it. I do wish they had called about being out of green beans before substituting corn since one of us does not eat corn, but this is Iowa. Iowa loves corn.

The good experience with our delivery has made us interested in visiting in person. Even though the food took longer to deliver due to our original dasher canceling, it was still warm too! Everything was packaged really well, portioned well, and they even sent wet naps.

“I adore Longhorn's menu and service. This is where I count on getting my fix of blue-ribbon ribs. I usually enjoy my dining experience here, but this last visit I was in a booth with my parents and the overall din of the dining area made it next to impossible for us to converse. Why? A plethora of small children everywhere, running about and making excessive noise! Don't want to say Longhorn Steakhouse is NOT a family restaurant, but I was taken aback at how many people came with small children. It just doesn't strike me as the best dining environment for them, and it definitely detracted from my dining experience. For anyone who is tempted to clap back at this commentary, I happen to be a mother of three, who made studied choices about where we dined out when they were small.“

“The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. It went downhill a while ago but I can definitely say it has done a complete 360 and has honestly been one of our families favorite quick fast food locations now. Definitely better than McDonald's.“

I chose the meatloaf which was such a generous portion that I could only finish half of it. It was the best meatloaf I've had in a restaurant. We've been here a few times before and purposely chose to dine here during our short trip to Iowa City. It did not disappoint!“

They also have Trivia on Tuesday at 7pm sometimes theme as well and Music bingo on Wensday at 7pm through out the week. This place is fun magical just great spirits here its a great place to bring your family make great fun nights and beautiful memories. Also they have wonderful delicious food. Tuesday is my favorite day cause they have Taco Tuesday they are so yummy I mean so delicious out of this world my favorite so what are waiting for give it a try you will not regret it I promise ????
