Surprises at a white tablecloth dining establishment are usually not good ones, and here you won't have any. Everything is always just the way it should be.“

“First time eating there today. I like old school breakfasts and this is exactly the type of place I enjoy. I ordered the eggs benedict on the server’s recommendation, very very good. The perfectly poached very large eggs, on shaved ham, with a crispy muffin underneath. The Hollandaise sauce was not home made but was well rendered and tasty. Mmmmm. Potatoes were also perfect.

The thing that makes a simple breakfast exceptional is the attention to detail. The right balance of eggs, meat, sauce and muffin proportions. The muffin cooked to provide a crunch, the ham shaved and grilled perfectly, properly poached eggs and the warm hollandaise in the correct proportion to the aforementioned ingredients.

Here is another important, touch. Properly cooked and grilled country potatoes. These potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with the right seasoning. Most breakfast restaurants simply don’t get it anywhere near right. Michael D’s knows how to do it!

The other dish I was contemplating was the Irish scramble (will get that next time). I cannot resist corned beef and eggs.

I love the old school decor and location with plenty of parking and easy access from the freeway.

We went in today, and even though almost every table was taken, and there was a line practically out the door, the staff was fabulous and friendly. Our sandwiches were made with love and care, to perfection. My husband and I are obsessed with the Rathdrum Club, and my brother loves the Coeur d'Alene. “Super happy with the service and each location has a fun yet still somehow calming and cozy atmosphere. Mainly, the salads are almost never decent when I get them from the little refrigerated section. I got one yesterday and it reminded how hit or miss they can be. I’ve also had the quinoa cups and a few times they’ve been rank and old.
Another issue is that different locations seem to have different capabilities, for example the one at CDA downtown inexplicably cannot make juice, so they have to rely on shipments coming in from their “corporate location”… well that seems like a shaky foundation to be building a house on. Three times I’ve visited the location and they’ve not had the juice I intended to drink and there was nothing which could be done about it.

All in all, I would avoid the refrigerated food items and try to get everything as fresh as possible. That way it doesn’t feel so much like you’ve overpaid for a container of lettuce with old pico.“

The service Ajay provided was top-notch as well. The only negative (for me) was that the fish atop the rolls should have been cold, not room temperature, almost warm, and the rolls should be rolled tighter. “I love Le Peep so much. The best breakfast and mimosa spot in CDA! The stuffed French toast is to die for and they used to have the Mile High Philly that was AMAZING (and I am really hoping to see it back some day). Every meal is not only tasty but also colorful and beautiful. The location is breathtaking, right on the river and you can eat outside as well. While eating my delicious breakfast or lunch I have seen bald eagles flying over the river multiple times. The experience is magical and the mimosas are served cold and with the freshest orange juice! The Bloody Mary always looks so beautiful and tasty as well if you’re that kind of brunch gal!

“Thai Bamboo is our go-to Thai place.

Their food is super delicious. I love that they prioritize non GMO, fresh ingredients, and you can really taste the difference.

Wide menu selection, with tons of gluten free and vegetarian options.

Some of my personal favorites are the Chicken Satay appetizer and the sticky rice. Pineapple curry is also a favorite.

The Galaxy Lounge with stars on the ceiling is just gorgeous - super fun, relaxing atmosphere.

The one thing about this place, is that the pricing is a bit steep. Often feel like I'm paying too much.

I do wish they could order fortune cookies that are gluten free. I know for a fact that there are sesame coconut rolls on the market made purely of tapioca flour. Perhaps they don't make any that contain pre rolled fortunes. Oh well.
