“The Boneless wings were awesome & the mild Buffalo was amazing....LOVE the homade ranch. If u get the horseshoe, get the Buffalo fries instead of crinklecut. I ate Stuffed Pork Chops here Sooo many years ago. I would Love to see them make a comeback or get the recipe.“

“It's been a year since we have been back to highland. We made it a priority to come back to the Wooden Tie and they didn't disappoint us one bit! Took a group of six around 5 pm. We were seated right away. Service was excellent even with the increase of customers. Brisket was the main item but wraps and chicken nuggets were also ordered. Awesome home made chips. The vegetable medley is a must have! Side salads are well put together. We ordered giant pretzel sticks with a really tasty cheese sauce. Many more items to try but it is a must go to place every time we come back. Great food! Great people! And not too hard on your wallet!“

“Today was our first visit to Diamond Mineral Springs. I took my dad out for lunch to celebrate Father's Day. The food and the service were phenomenal! I also loved the feeling of being surrounded by history. If those walls could talk, I bet there would be some stories to tell. We had more than enough food for the two of us with the family style meal. The bourbon brown sugar salmon flaked off beautifully and absolutely melted in my mouth. So delicious! The biscuits and apple butter were also worth mentioning. My dad got the walleye and said that it was really good as well. Our server made sure that we were well taken care of - topping off our drinks and making sure our first visit wouldn't be our last. Her smile and cheerful personality made our meal that much more delightful. We had no room for dessert at the time, but made sure to get some pie and cake to take home for later that evening. I highly recommend this strategy, because you won't want to miss out on their delicious pie. A big meal, a nice nap at home, and then wake up to enjoy dessert - you really can't go wrong with a plan like that. 😉“

“Out of all the eddies rise & dines this one is truly the best, the cleanest the most upbeat, the friendliest, the yummiest, i can go on and on about this place. i come in and there are always tons of other regulars here almost everytime i come in there is a reason for their loyalty its the staff the service & the food here :) i have been to every location with breese the original being the most disappointing the servers are rude the food is greasy and very bland i dont like the environment, the mascoutah location is just ran by people who dont care you feel the vibes as soon as you walk in they used to close 30 minutes before 7pm closing time would say takeouts only the servers are always very mouthy at this location cooks saying their out of hashbrowns but server said theres some in back they are just to lazy to go get it. i drive an extra 20 minutes from my house to go to highland eddies. i always get the western omelet ala-carte with a half order of biscuit and gravy my wife gets the steak platter with eggs home fries sourdough toast their sourdough is very good food always comes out hot and tasty. never is highland ever out of anything i am voting the highland location the best eddies the other ones need to step their game up! get better staffing all the way around at mascoutah and breese. also you guys get a free cone at the end of your meal and they are so yummy“

“The Urban Farmhouse in Highland, Illinois is a n excellent place to eat. The food was delicious and plentiful. I had a bar-b-q- sandwich and it was loaded with enough meat that I took some home and had another meal. The wait staff was very prompt, attentive and friendly. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great. If you are in the area, this is a place to check out. You won't regret it!“
