We also thanked her for coming in on a Holiday, with a great attitude. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thanks to the hostess who gave us a warm welcome.“

“In 2017, I picked up my older brother at Midway to come home to the funeral of our youngest brother that committed suicide at 23 yers old. We swung over to Vito and Nick's to get a pizza and talk. It was our first time there. We ended up telling the waitress the situation because we had both been crying. Next thing we know, the kitchen had par-baked like 8 large pizzas of all types, and gave us a hand-written note giving us condolences and instructions on how to finish baking the pizzas. “They seem to have three regular vegan options with no cheese: Arrabbiata, Mushroom, and Eggplant. They cut the pizza with scissors (yes, they use special ones only for the vegan pizzas) and weigh the piece. You pay by weight and they finish baking the par baked slices while you wait. It was very tasty and fast. There are plenty of bar style seats but no tables for groups. They seem to have a heavy hand with the red pepper flakes, which I love but you might not, and it’s already on the slices so you can’t remove it — consider yourself warned! “Phenomenal service from Linsey. I drink water like a fish and she must've replaced our water pitcher three or four times, always as soon as I emptied it. We got the Meatball Trio and I don't know if I was just starved or what, but those meatballs were some of the most tender meatballs I've ever had.“

“I was finally able to come here. I actually found this place through social media then I double checked the reviews on Google and Yelp, to ensure that it was good. It’s located in Pilsen. They do have free street parking but you have to look and double check the signs. It’s harder to find spots at night on a Saturday, when we went. You can also pay $3 an hour and park at the Ray Castro plaza.

When you walk inside, they have about 5-6 tables on the left give or take, then the bleachers on the right. You order then they bring it out to you. We ordered a 16” half margherita half longanisa & giardiniera tavern style pizza. It took about 45 mins. This pizza is good for 3-4 people. We ordered fries in the mean time to munch on. These are tasty since they are crunchy and not soggy. We also ordered an agua fresca ( made in house) and amor eterno drink. Both drinks were great. The service was half good half bad. The taller guy provided exceptional customer service. There was a shorter, skinnier guy that provided some very weak service. He looked like he didn’t want to be there. I had to ask him 3-4 times for a container to go. It takes 30 secs or less to do it. Minus half a star.

The pizza itself was delicious. The longanisa is a Filipino sausage that is on the sweeter side. The longanisa’s sweeter side helps balance out the giardinera’s spicier side. This was not overly salted. I don’t really trust reviews that can’t even provide a picture. No picture = did not happen. The margherita was delicious and savory. We also got ube and horchata ice cream, it comes in a good size cup for $7. The flavors taste great together almost like a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with ube. Overall it’s a 4.5.“

“We recently had dinner at Coalfire on Grand Ave. in West Town and really enjoyed their coal oven baked pizza. We dined early on a weekend evening so no problem with grabbing a table on a walk in basis. Opening hours are Indoor environs were urban modern with tables spaced nicely. Opening hours are 4pm to 10pm (Tue-Thurs) and noon to 10.30pm (Fri-Sun), closed on Mondays. Service was very friendly. Menu features a few salads as well as a list of pizzas. They also do a build your pizza custom order if preferred. We ordered the Jalapeno Pepperoni which was nicely baked thin crust with a good amount of char. Savoury tomato sauces, cheese, pepperoni and jalapeno were all good quality and tasty. This was a really good pizza, one we'd gladly return to reorder. Would also be happy to try other pizzas on the Coalfire menu.“

“Just had their steak (carne asada) tacos! Absolutely fantastic! The green salsa is on point! Very generous on the size of their tacos. I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. “order a pizza for take out, friday night at 6pm. had to wait until 845pm. average price. one size offered. serves about 3-4 people. Pizza is good, thin crust, good sauce flavor. enough toppings. Be aware pepperoni is VERY spicy. Needs a warning or label. Some may like that, we do not. Had to pull it all off. I would order a pizza again but without pepperoni .“

“The shaved ice is amazing. They have several flavors to choose from. That was my favorite part actually.

The pizza was okay. It needs seasoning in the sauce. I had pepperoni and my husband had pepperoni and sausage. He said the sausage tasted like Casey's sausage. Do with that what you will.

Other than the lack of seasoning, the crust was great. If you LOVE cheese, you will like how much cheese they use. The pepperonis would taste better if they were above the cheese, but that is of course preference. Overall nice place. 1 slice is all you really need do to the size of each slice.“
