“This was my Family’s first time here, and we celebrated Thanksgiving. Jessica was our waitress. She did an excellent job and service to 9 of us. We also thanked her for coming in on a Holiday, with a great attitude. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thanks to the hostess who gave us a warm welcome.“

“What a wonderful idea! You can buy pizza by the inch. That means you can choose as many of the delicious flavours as you'd like. The pizzas are ready-made. They seem to rotate toppings, so not everything you read about here will be available. I had three slices: pepperoni, cheese & potato, and hot honey and all of them were delicious.

I had the cheese ball thing as well, which I thought would be like a mozzarella stick. Instead, it tastes much like a deep-fried ball of spaghetti, though it is made of different cheeses and tomato sauce.“

We got the Meatball Trio and I don't know if I was just starved or what, but those meatballs were some of the most tender meatballs I've ever had.“

“I was finally able to come here. I actually found this place through social media then I double checked the reviews on Google and Yelp, to ensure that it was good. It’s located in Pilsen. They do have free street parking but you have to look and double check the signs. It’s harder to find spots at night on a Saturday, when we went. You can also pay $3 an hour and park at the Ray Castro plaza.

When you walk inside, they have about 5-6 tables on the left give or take, then the bleachers on the right. You order then they bring it out to you. We ordered a 16” half margherita half longanisa & giardiniera tavern style pizza. It took about 45 mins. This pizza is good for 3-4 people. We ordered fries in the mean time to munch on. These are tasty since they are crunchy and not soggy. We also ordered an agua fresca ( made in house) and amor eterno drink. Both drinks were great. The service was half good half bad. The taller guy provided exceptional customer service. There was a shorter, skinnier guy that provided some very weak service. He looked like he didn’t want to be there. I had to ask him 3-4 times for a container to go. It takes 30 secs or less to do it. Minus half a star.

The pizza itself was delicious. The longanisa is a Filipino sausage that is on the sweeter side. The longanisa’s sweeter side helps balance out the giardinera’s spicier side. This was not overly salted. I don’t really trust reviews that can’t even provide a picture. No picture = did not happen. The margherita was delicious and savory. We also got ube and horchata ice cream, it comes in a good size cup for $7. The flavors taste great together almost like a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with ube. Overall it’s a 4.5.“

“We recently had dinner at Coalfire on Grand Ave. in West Town and really enjoyed their coal oven baked pizza. We dined early on a weekend evening so no problem with grabbing a table on a walk in basis. Opening hours are Indoor environs were urban modern with tables spaced nicely. Opening hours are 4pm to 10pm (Tue-Thurs) and noon to 10.30pm (Fri-Sun), closed on Mondays. Service was very friendly. Menu features a few salads as well as a list of pizzas. They also do a build your pizza custom order if preferred. We ordered the Jalapeno Pepperoni which was nicely baked thin crust with a good amount of char. Savoury tomato sauces, cheese, pepperoni and jalapeno were all good quality and tasty. This was a really good pizza, one we'd gladly return to reorder. Would also be happy to try other pizzas on the Coalfire menu.“

I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. “order a pizza for take out, friday night at 6pm. had to wait until 845pm. average price. one size offered. serves about 3-4 people. Pizza is good, thin crust, good sauce flavor. enough toppings. Be aware pepperoni is VERY spicy. Needs a warning or label. Some may like that, we do not. Had to pull it all off. I would order a pizza again but without pepperoni .“

Other than the lack of seasoning, the crust was great. If you LOVE cheese, you will like how much cheese they use. The pepperonis would taste better if they were above the cheese, but that is of course preference. Overall nice place. 1 slice is all you really need do to the size of each slice.“
