“On the evening of July 5 my wife and I tried Avaspi on Belmont Avenue in Lakeview for the first time. It will not be the last! I love lamb and am quite particular as to how is it prepared. The “lamb delight” menu item was the best lamb I have ever had in a restaurant: tender, succulent, and prepared to perfection. The side salad accompanying it was not your ordinary side salad! My wife and I both enjoyed the Mixed Meze appetizer plate. Each of the five items was quite good but the muhammara was to die for. We ended our meal with tea, baklava and kubralice. The décor and ambience were refreshing and relaxing, and the service was outstanding. The pricing was very reasonable. Please give it a try. We do not think you will be disappointed.“

The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. It was a last minute event and I can not thank the owner enough as he came to the rescue with top notch service and catering. He was so accommodating as he was able to cater our party of 100 people in a matter of days. He was super helpful in creating a menu that would please all ages. Presentation was so appealing and portions were so generous. More importantly- flavor and preparation was outstanding! Kabobs were so tender and juicy and Shawerma meat so well seasoned. My favorite were his sauces- the garlic, tahini, and especially the spicy hot sauce with a hint of chipotle and lime was such a nice addition to any meal. I wish he would have left business cards to hand out because everyone was soooooooo impressed and just wanted to know where the catering was from. Once we got there, I was confused because the building had a different name, turns out IncrediBOWLS was a ghost kitchen service during Covid and he implemented it into the main menu because everyone liked it. Once I got in and checked out the menu, I ordered the Gainz bowl. It was incredible, service was great, atmosphere was incredible. Will definitely come back if I'm in town again.“
