Customer service is TERRIBLE, the woman is always yelling & her accent is so strong, it’s hard to understand but the food is so delicious I continue to return to allow her scream at me every time. Portion size is on point for my big back self. I travel from Wisconsin atleast once a month to buy food from this location.“

I live in the city now and have tried many places there as well, but wish there was a Chen’s like this near my place. “First time ordering from this place and I was surprised when I was in their menu Chinese BBQ ribs! They were tender and well seasoned. The rice with chicken was great you don’t need any additional side with it since the rice itself is delicious.“

“I dined in with a friend and it was our first time here. We both ordered from their Combination Special Lunch Plate Menu.

I ordered the Kung Po Chicken, which included an egg roll and choice of steamed white rice, fried rice, or noodles. I chose the fried rice and my friend had the General Tso's Chicken with fried rice. I will leave it to him to review his own dish should he so choose.

The server brought the egg rolls in advance of serving our entrees and rice. They were piping hot, the hottest I've ever experienced. The outer crust was crispy, not soft and greasy as many of my prior experiences elsewhere have often been. The inside was chock full of tasty ingredients.

We also had their hot and sour soup, which was quite good. It was a nice sized portion for the price and had an abundance of stock.

When our main dishes arrived, they were piping hot and exceptionally generous servings, both in terms of the entree portions and the rice.

My Kung Po Chicken had plenty of chicken along with other ingredients. It was flavorfully seasoned, and spicy, just as their menu indicated. The fried rice was also good. Complimentary hot tea was also provided, which we enjoyed as well.

All this for $9.15 per plate. [Note their online menu showed $10.95, but it was actually $9.15. Even at $10.95 it would have been a good value, but at $9.15 it was a great value, the best I've experienced in quite awhile.]

This was our first time here and likely not our last. It is real close to Midway Airport, which makes it handy when traveling in/out of town.

The service was friendly and efficient, and things were served up in a timely fashion. I highly recommend you giving it a try. If you do, and you don't find it as good as another place you've been, please comment so I can give your reccomendation a try, as I'm always up for exceptional Chinese cuisine.

“I am so glad they were able to reopen. Due to the passing of the previous owner last year, they closed their doors. My husband and I had just discovered them and was so excited to find a Chinese restaurant we truly enjoy. The very next day January 1st 2024, they announced their closure ( we get Chinese New Years Eve and we got it from here). “This place is wonderful. I got the curry chicken, jumbo shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. Yummo .. plus last Christmas we did the Christmas Story and ordered lots of different foods. That was the best. So this year I'll be ordering food again for Christmas. Delicious ???

They have a bar on one side, video gaming downstairs, hibachi grill on another side (might only be certain days). You can fit like 10 people in their giant booths and food was delicious. I ordered the Mongolian beef. It was tasty, tender, and a bit spicy. The food was fresh and delicious. However, I do wish they had shrimp egg rolls as I’m not a fan of the combination egg rolls. It was very goodFYI: If you like your food very spicy, they will honor your request. We like ours real spicy, so I ask for it to be 3 times Xtra spicy for the main course and even the fried rice, and they will do they for you. We've gone to many Chinese restaurants throughout Chicago, and we like them. We've gone neck because it's close to where we live.

Parking: It's next to Pizza Hut. The parking lot is small, but there is extra parking by the Pizza Hut.“

“Went here with a friend, they were just about to close up but the gentleman behind the counter agreed to make some food for us. I appreciate that greatly. Next time I may dine inside. I had Mongolian beef, I asked him if it was spicy and he said yes, but he said he could make it with less spice so I went with that. That was really good. My friend had chow mein with chicken and shrimp it look like. That was very good also. Also they have several flavors of smoothie. I had the banana one, and it was excellent. Is this some secret haute cuisine spot hidden in plain sight?Naw.But I'll say this: Eat Rice has served my family meals for the better part of 5+ years (if not more). The prices are fair, the portions are large, and the quality is always as desired. The menu is traditional American/Chinese fare: egg rolls and other fried apps, soups, and pork/beef/shrimp dishes abound.The staff is friendly and efficient. There's parking across the street. And you get almond cookies in your bag if you order as much as we do. LOL.“

Parking: It's a staple in the Roseland neighborhood and in Chicago period. Known for they're fresh and crispy fried chicken wings, they're great with sweet and sour sauce.

The tofu with mixed vegetables is absolutely delicious. The spring rolls are good and so is the egg rolls. I called first they said they’ll come back and get the order and fix it right then they called me back and asked me would chili oil or pepper or whatever they use would be OK and I said yes, they did not send enough for the order that I had only thing about this place that I really enjoy was the delivery driver don’t get me wrong.
