“Service is still great … but when closed then reopened, the quality of the food is now NOTICEABLY DIFFERENT (worse). Different chef, perhaps? Not sure what I mentioned it because I always order the same thing chicken with black bean and garlic sauce. The last two times I ordered it after they reopened they used dark meat and it was always always always white meat chicken. Also, the sauce is different. Something’s changed, but I’m just not sure what. It’s still my favorite Chinese restaurant in the south suburbs but they can do better. I say that because they’ve been better.“

“Some of the best Chinese food in the South Suburbs. Prices are comparable to other places. Portion sizes are good. Only small complaint is sometimes their inconsistent with how they prepare something. For example the broccoli and garlic sauce - I've had it before where the sauce is very thick and the broccoli broccoli was a little mushy but for the most part they always get it right. I pretty much always order it through a delivery app and the food still comes hot. Egg rolls are good and crisp. Sesame chicken is nice, slight sweetness with a little heat. Fried rice is flavorful.“

“I always enjoy ordering from Grand Chinese. Workers are always courteous and the food is always delicious. I used to go to Hoe Toy on Stony Island but the original owners sold it I believe and the food wasn't the same. I found out about Grand Chinese and now they are my go to spot for Chinese food.“

“I ordered a small veggie fried rice. It was good but the container is SUPER small and the price is a bit high $10.50. I know groceries prices are outrageous but rice, 🥕 and 🍄 are still pretty cheap. Green peppers are on the expensive side if not on sale but there wasn't enough peppers to justify the cost. Thats my opinion.“

“Very decent place. Consistently good, had it 3x this week already! Egg rolls are great, big and surprisingly not at all greasy. Crab rangoon are good. Sesame, Mongolian and orange chicken are 👌. bbq pork/ chicken chow mein are both great. Chicken lo mein is ok. I prefer the fried noodles.

“I would’ve gave them 5 stars because the food is great and the service was great too. However, I ordered Shrimp fried rice and they add beef and chicken to it. I had to pick the chicken and beef out of my fried rice while eating it. Other than that everything was good. Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long while. “Walking in, it feels like you have stepped back into 2020, in the worst way. They still run the business with plastic blocking the staff from the customers, and it’s a bit unsettling. Otherwise, the food is usually pretty good. The staff is relatively friendly, but they seem to be a big hurry most of the time. I know being in the restaurant industry is busy and stressful, but they should slow down their customer interactions to not make their guests feel rushed.“

I was talking to the lady in front and asked.(The lady is nice and I always like to make people laugh and smile)You guys should definitely bring the coconut back, it was my number 1 favorite.
