“I heard a lot about this place through out the years! I have tried to stop in but for 1 reason or another it was closed so let’s dive into this review. Incredible Fantastic Phenomenal Amazing Spectacular Food! Freddy’s is the Famiglia on Holidays and your Nona’s and Zia’s all cooking pumping out hot fresh delicious food from all the Kitchens
(typically 2 in most Italian households 1 upstairs and 1 in bashement) lol 😂
Freddy’s is like I went back to 1990’s St.Calistus St.Joseph’s table. Stop in the Food Service and Establishment all live up to its promises. You can not have a bad meal here.

“Tried the express menu last weekend for the first time and was NOT disappointed. Vegan birria tacos (made with perfectly seasoned mushrooms) were excellent, though I have to admit the consomé wasn't, unfortunately. But the vegan soul plate was all good. The fried hearts of palm were tasty and crunchy, the mac and cheese was creamy and not too heavy, the sweet potatoes were Thanksgiving-y, and the greens did their job. And the hibiscus and ginger tea I ordered was delicious! I just wish it was less than a 40-minute drive for me, but what can you do?“

“This place has great food! The service was wonderful , and the salsa with chips were terrific. It was in need of some music playing in the background because it kinda felt like eating in a library! The huaraches are great and so are the gorditas. Try the micheladas. I would recommend this place!

Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian huaraches. (No meat)

Parking: There is street parking available, but limited spaces.

Kid-friendliness: They have a kid's menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: There aren't any steps to get in. However, there are 2 doors to open to get inside, and that might raise concern for someone entering in a wheelchair.“

“Incredible experience everytime. 2nd birthday and one anniversary celebrated here. The service is phenomenal with how welcoming, attentive and intentional they are.

The food is incredible as always. It is one of the most fine dining meals I've ever had quite honestly with flavor, ingredients, presentation and creativity.

“Oh my god I got the torched and pressed sushi roll with avocado and truffle and it's one of the best things I've ever tasted. The truffle flavor with miso is an incredible flavor combination. The interior is really pretty as well, and they have a ramp at the entrance so it's pretty wheelchair friendly. The tables are a little close together so navigating inside was slightly awkward with my mobility device, but it wasn't difficult to push some chairs out of the way. I will definitely be coming back here and I will definitely be ordering the torched and press roll again.“

“My favorite restaurant in the world. Seriously. Hands down. When I go to Chicago, I am making reservations at the Purple Pig for at least two of the nights. Bone marrow and pig ears are a must. But you can’t go wrong. Did I mention it’s my favorite?“

“My Fiancé and I discovered this restaurant after watching “Somebody Feed Fill” and were inspired and intrigued by Sarah’s restaurant and craftsmanship. We had our eye on getting reservations here for a very long time and we ended up landing lunch reservations for my Fiancés birthday (whom is also a Chef). We just happened to be seated by the expo line near the kitchen where we saw Sarah working. From start to finish our server Rose, and Sarah made sure our experience was personalized special. Sarah even signed the cookbook we bought and menu! Everything was on point from the food to the service. I can see why it’s so hard to get a reservation here! If we could rate our experience higher we would. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and dedication that this restaurant displays!“

“A treat for all of the senses! My introduction to The Gundis was a Sunday breakfast. What a beautiful feast was laid before me, my husband and a local friend who we were visiting. We ordered the Kurdish breakfast for two plus an order of baklawa crêpes. An array of colorful, tantalizingly-scented dishes soon filled our table. Superb savory and sweet flavors awaited our taste buds. All of us were amazed by the diverse deliciousness. The atmosphere and service were also excellent. Mine was filled with chunks of sweet potatoes, garbanzos, and avocado with lots of greens and rice. Low-key friendly service in a quiet cafe. “I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!“

“My husband and I came in for dinner at 7:30pm on a Friday evening. We were greeted right away and taken to our table. We ordered a drink, hummus appetizer, the platter for 2 and dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection and Amine provided excellent service. We even had one of the managers, i believe, stop by and ask us how everything was going. Very personable. We could not stay for the show that started at 9pm, but we were informed Saturdays show is great as well. We will definitely be back thanks to the great service of Amine and the delicious food.“

“I loved this place we went to for breakfast. I especially want to give a separate shout-out to the waiter Furkan. His smiling face, attentiveness, and positive energy warm you up the moment you walk in. He brought the orders quickly and completely, and he kept checking on the table without ever being intrusive. It’s clear that he truly enjoys his job.

The venue itself is both clean and very spacious. The breakfast items are fresh, the presentation is careful, and the flavors are perfectly on point. With hot tea, freshly baked bread, and a rich Turkish breakfast spread, you start the day in the best way.

“The Breakfast House was such a great addition to the neighborhood, and you can tell with how busy it gets on the weekends. I live right down the street on Dakin and brought my Mom here when she visited.

I got the Grilled Cheese Sourdough and it was fantastic. It was a take on a grilled cheese “breakfast style” with scrambled eggs and bacon with a side of honey mustard for dipping. My Mom got some fruit parfait and really enjoyed it.

Service and atmosphere is great. You can sit inside when it’s cold and they have outdoor seating when it’s nicer out.“
