“17th Street and Mike is a huge reason why I stepped out to start my own. He was a great man and all the people who work there are great. Without 17th Street, Southern Illinois wouldn't be known for their BBQ. Thanks for putting us on the map and inspiring all of us who want to become a BBQ staple in our communities. “This is one of my favorites!! The atmosphere is filled with nostalgia of celebrities that have passed through. The staff is friendly and always remember my face when I visit. (Hey Trina!!) The food is always cooked to order and delicious. I've never had to send anything back or complain. Definitely a place to try.“

“When we asked the locals for a great place to eat that was laid back, Midland Inn always came up. After eating here twice in two days, i can tell you there is a reason for all of the recommendations. The food is incredible, the service was just as good. I must recommend the burgers. Highly recommend. We will be back.“

“The BBQ is always outstanding. This place literally sets the standard for all BBQ everywhere. I’ve had BBQ all over the country. Lots a great BBQ out there for sure, but there is none better than 17th Street. Even the sides are pretty good. This is where so many BBQ joints lose me is when they have terrible sides. We did order some potato skins and some fried pickles. Both were very good. There is a huge volume of fried pickles in one order. We got too much when we ordered 2 servings of them. Service is always good.“

“I was here for a photo shoot. I entered separate from my party. The waitress escorted me to them and along the way gave me a small guided tour. She was beyond exceptional and the place was absolutely breathtaking. Dont tell my wife but I will be bringing her back here for a date night without the kiddos.“

“I love this place, and it is great everytime i go. Im a huge fan of gyros, and their fries are delicious. They appear to be going back to waiters/waitresses serving you at your table, which is a healthy sign for a business. One of the only places in the Southern Illinois area that i enjoy.“

“We went on a Friday evening and sat outside on the patio since we had our dog and the weather was nice. When we eat here, it always takes some time for the food to come out, but service is always friendly and the food is good. We originally ordered the spinach dip, the bruschetta pizza, and a buffalo chicken salad. Later on, we realized there was a dinner menu special so we ended up adding the salmon and steak entrees and brownie for dessert. The food here is very good and everything tastes like it's made from scratch so it's worth the wait. This is one of the few wineries in the area that actually has good food options and the venue indoors and outdoors is comfortable and pleasant.“

“We went for lunch and grabbed 3 tacos and the supposedly potato skins. It was nasty, you couldn't chew the steak or chicken and the potatoes were raw covered in nasty cheese. I have always enjoyed tres but won't spend another dime in the place. It gets a big fat zero rating.“
