“It’s like you’re being served by your relatives—they were so kind and accommodating, checking on us constantly. We had Galbi and the beef tongue. The banchans, especially the fish cake, were amazing. The portions were perfect as I didn’t feel overly full/overwhelmed compared to other places. We hope to come back to try their lunch entrees :)“

“My friend and I stopped in at Firewater BBQ in Elmhurst on Thursday Dec. 1st for the "Granny's Lunch Box Special" which is available daily from 11AM-2PM. This was my second visit and my friend's first at Firewater. We both ordered the Angus beef brisket sandwich with a side of 3 cheese Mac & Cheese and a soda. The brisket (smoked for 22 hrs) is amazingly tender and flavorful. It was piled high on a toasted brioche bun and is served with your choice of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce or both if you like. The Mac & Cheese is sooo silky-smooth and creamy and compliments the brisket quite well. There are complimentary pickled jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickles available as well. My friend was so impressed by this amazing brisket that he placed another exact order to go to bring home. The cashier who also took our order was very friendly and polite. We told one of the chefs, Shawn, (pictured) that we really enjoyed the brisket and complimented his skills. My friend and I will both be returning to Firewater BBQ and we'll definitely be letting our family and friends know about this wonderful BBQ spot.“

“First, the food is DELICIOUS! They have a lot more flavors of chicken available than some other K.F.C. restaurants. The tteokbokki offers more flavors & add in’s as well. You can tell the company really cares about their food quality and customer satisfaction-eg they have steam vents built into the containers and the keep your to-go order propped slightly open until you pick up your order all so that your chicken remains crispy, rather than getting soggy waiting in a closed container! The staff are always very polite & conscientious. LOVE THIS PLACE!“

I live fairly close to the restaurant so I was surprised when I saw that the delivery driver (third party service) was in a different town and my ETA kept getting longer and longer. I called the restaurant and told them about the issue and actually ended up being put on with The owner Joey. This guy ended up repacking my order and hand delivering it himself!!! The pulled pork sandwich is always great paired with some mac and cheese and cornbread. Definitely coming back to this location. The inside is very nice and the employees are very helpful.“

“An excellent Chinese BBQ place run by a very friendly and knowledgeable couple. They really know the art of BBQ and everything is cooked and prepared to perfection. The BBQ chef there had been around for at least a decade back from before the current owners took over the shop.

“A small, korean BBQ restaurant in a strip mall on Mt Prospect. We were greeting right away and sat at your table. The tables are separated and private from others. The servers was attentive and took our order quickly. Bottled water is sevred with every meal. We ordered the meat and seafood combo ( steak, chicken, shrimp, and squid) which it comes with a lot of meat. You get a dumping soup that was very filling. The meat is very well seasoned and cooks nicely on the grill. The side dishs were very good. I didnwish they had korean potatoe salad as one of the sode doshes. At the end they also give you ice cream bars. The food and service were amazing. The only negative thing I can say is that it does get smokey inside the restaurant. I definitely recommend coming here and will visit again myself.“

Ordered herb crusted chicken with a side kick of shrimp and got a plain grilled chicken breast and let manger know and she offered nothing but got a new actual herb crusted chicken 15 minutes later after everyone was about done with dinner ! “I did take out for a gathering last night, and the wings were delicious. We got the honey garlic and galbi flavored wings, and they were a hit with everyone at the party. A friend who has done takeaway with them previously said that their kimchi fried rice was the best they’ve had, so I’ll try that next time. My order was ready to go at the time promised. “My fiancé and I have been a gyro war. I’m a Skokie Dengeos girl and he’s a diehard Squabs fan. While it’s hard to compete with childhood memories after trying Squabs I totally get it. The gyro was perfectly cooked, the tzatziki was beautiful, the fries were delicious. The absolute standout was the customer service. I was having such a bad day. I confused the gyro plate with the gyro dinner and they took such good care of me. I had cried the whole ride over and left with the biggest smile and a plate of leftovers. 10/10 I will be coming back every chance I get.“

“Well this is more of just them making ribs and not really a true restaurant you have to carry it out I discovered this place because of our roommate who was ranting about this place the ribs are actually pretty good but if you're expecting to eat or dine in ambience-wise this is not the place as this is the tip of the West side of Chicago. Service was courteous someone named Michelle who either owns the place or works here give me a sample of the chicken turkey and the ribs before I bought. The ribs are good I didn't really care much for the turkey but the chicken was good my only disappointment why four out of five stars is that they did not have coleslaw only potato salad and I wasn't craving for that and I don't need any more carbs since I lost weight other than that little pricey for the large but I was that hungry for ribs they give you a separate sauce since it's dry rub tasting other than that that's my experience I have to now go home and eat it“
