“I order from this place specifically despite having several Chinese restaurants that are closer. The fried rice is the best I've had. The orange, bourbon, and general tsos chicken are all really good. They also work with people to make specialized orders. For example I am allergic to wheat and can't eat the breaded chicken. They make mine without the breading so that I can order the things I really want. I highly recommend.“

“Joe K is one of the bigger breakfast restaurant's in the Alton area. A lot of seating, usually busy but not overly crowded. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is good with a few exceptional dishes like the breakfast pony. Breakfast pony is a biscuit with your choice of meat & egg, hash browns layered topped with sausage gravy. Delicious. Only gave a 4 star because the food came out cold.“

“I don’t know what going on at the Pump house but things seem to be heading south. During the last several visits the service has not been good, especially if you’re not sitting at the bar. I’m sure they don’t have enough help like everywhere else. The steak I had this evening was luke warm at best. It looked like it had been setting on the counter at the grill for quite a while before it was brought out to our table. It’s probably time to start spending our money somewhere else.“

“I was at Peel Wood Fired Pizza in O’Fallon, IL on June 13, 2025. I got a pepperoni pizza, and it was delicious! On top of that, all of the staff that I saw were very professional. I strongly recommend Peel Wood Fired Pizza to anyone who likes pizza.“

“The Cabin at Judy Creek is one of those places that just *feels right* the moment you walk in. Whether you are heading out for a laid-back date night, catching up with friends, or just want a chill spot to grab a drink after work, this place nails it.

First off, the vibe is awesome. The building has a cozy, rustic look with tons of warm wood and soft lighting. Its big enough to feel lively but still has that tucked-away, hidden gem feel. If the weathers good, grab a table outside the patio is beautiful and perfect for a long evening of hanging out.

The food? Totally hits the spot. Their smoked meats and sandwiches are next-level, and the sides arent just filler everything is fresh and full of flavor. The appetizers are great for sharing (bacon-fat popcorn is a must-try), and the entrees come in generous portions thatll actually fill you up.

Drinks are another win. They keep a solid craft beer list and pour some excellent cocktails. The bartenders know their stuff and are happy to help you find something new.

And the staff ties it all together friendly, quick, and genuinely happy to have you there.

“Tried Bann Thai for the first time today and if I lived closer (I'm in St. Charles, MO) I'd probably be there weekly! From the Crispy Spring Rolls and Egg Rolls to the Pad Thai and the Three Musketeers, my girlfriend and I spent a good hour just saying, "Oooh this is SO good!" Our waiter was super friendly and helpful--easily the best service I've had anywhere since the pandemic. 5 stars, 10/10, etc.! Like they say in the movies, "We'll be back!"“

“Chubby's grill and garage is a wonderful place to grab a big juicy burger, fries, and appetizers. Great food specials weekly, as well as drink specials. It is family friendly. The staff are all super friendly people. The owner is a stand up guy, and you can tell he really cares about his customers and he treats his employees with love and respect like any great owner would. I would HIGHLY reccomend this place to ANYONE looking to have some great food, drinks, and fun. The hours are 11am to 11pm, kitchen is 11am to 10pm. this place is an absolute gem 💎.“

“Every time I come back home to visit Alton, I always come here. Love the variety of the menu and it’s always so delicious. Great drinks, food , and atmosphere. I just tried the Bang Bang shrimp salad and it was incredible! Huge amount of food. Perfect flavors and textures.“

“First time! Gorgeous evening to sit on the patio. Patio ambiance was upscale casual.

Service: Server (Mackenzie) was perfect - personalized recommendations, quick turnaround on requests, always there when needed and invisible when not needed.

Starters and drinks: My only criticism of the meal is that our caesar dressing was not chilled (as though it had sat out before being poured) but the flavor was perfectly peppery and the romaine was crisp. Our drinks were an old fashioned (garnished with cherry & orange and made strong) and an espresso martini (3-bean garnish but not particularly strong).

Entrees: one filet mignon with asparagus (cooked to just the right an of crisp) and baked potato and one peppered salmon on rice. Both entrees were the highest quality, prepared to perfection; I suspect that anything on the menu would exceed expectations.

Service (continued): Teammate - name unknown - kept our waters topped off and discarded dishes cleared from the table without interrupting. Five stars.“

“I come each time to see our dear friends of 42 years and always request to eat Imo's Pizza. It has a taste that I don't get having pizza in the Venice Florida area. Vegetarian options: This is your typical Chinese restaurant where you can modify what you want in your order. You can get vegetable fried rice. You can specify what vegetables you want in there and what you don't. You can get vegetable curry, you just tell them you don't want any meat in your curry. I would just note that it's probably cooked on the same thing that the meat is cooked on, so if that is a problem I would suggest you go somewhere else.“

“We were in the mood for Chinese, so we stopped in. Is it pinky out, fancy Chinese? Not even close. It's gotta have it, greasy Chinese. Please don't take that the wrong way. Sometimes you just need some old school Chinese, and they got that. The portions were huge, and the cost wasn't terrible. The highlight, for me, were the fried wontons. The beef and broccoli was flavorful, and the broccoli still had the crunch (no one likes soggy broccoli). The crab rangoon were the sweet style, not my favorite, but decent enough. Of course I'm going to go back.“
