“The restaurant is great.. food looks great and tastes even better. Mariscos in the STL area. Plates are huge, make sure you come with a good crown to try everything. Music was too loud we couldn’t even talk…I cannot wait to be back again.Great experience ????“
“My cousin Noodles told me about this place while i was in town OMG there food is so good and my husband love the Jack fish first time he had from Texas lol and we love tbe soul food sundays but got to get there early every day they open food so good it be gone lol i swear they can cook and the sista that run and own this place is very beautiful person yall wont be sorry will recommend and diffently go back when ever in town again thanks Flyers Dine & Go Market“
“Our server Josh (yes, coincidence) nailed it. Attentive but not overbearing. The cocktails were a hit too, and I'd recommend the Apple Bottom Jeans and the Violet Mojito. My wife and I stuck to small plates as we weren't in the mood for large plates. The lobster roll was out of this world, and while it looks small, they manage to pack so much delectable lobster into it. The pork belly was also incredible though it was light on the amount of pork belly in it. The spam fried rice was really good. The chili flakes elevate the entire plate, but if you don't like spicy food, I might suggest you get something else. Finally, the cheddar biscuits...they weren't very good. They were a bit tough, not fluffy, and were portioned in a way that made them awkward to eat (too tall). I would not recommend the biscuits. But overall, great experience, 4.5/5.“
“Not all Steakhouses are created equal. Hamilton's provides an intimate setting for a quality dining experience. If you're the type to want to pair your meal with a unique whisky, scotch or bourbon - you have come to the right place. The bar's selection and knowledge will surpass your expectations. You will have the opportunity to sip on some spirits that are hard to find anywhere. It's wise to grab a reservation or enjoy a spot at their cozy bar.“
“This is a GREAT neighborhood restaurant! Great ambiance in the front room! Very good wine list; we thoroughly enjoyed the Manzone Gramolere Barolo. The food was excellent, and the portions quite large on the Chicken Marsala. One of the specials was Divers Scallops on a bed of risotto, and the scallops were perfectly done. Service after the entree could have been more attentive.“
“Will forever love B.O.B. but the amount of tickets they sell really needs to be cut back and this isn't just me but dozens of people who attend concerts there agreeing. You're shoulder to shoulder in there to the point of being very uncomfortable. You should be able to have enough room to at least move through the crowd. Also seems like a fire safety hazard.“
“Born & Raised in Louisiana- I never thought I’d find a place that made me feel like I was eating at home! The food, the atmosphere, the hospitality…. I can not believe I just found this place but definitely has turned into one of my favorites!!!! Kyle was absolutely amazing!!!“
“This place is fantastic, all the food is delicious and great quility, even the bread they serve was really good, service is exceptional, pricing is more than reasonable. Was in town and looking for a great local joint, glad I picked this spot, this place is a must visit. If your reading this review, stop thinking about it and go!Parking: Parking isn't bad, you will find something, remember it's street parking though.“
“We opted for mostly drinks this time around, but still couldn't resist the chocolate tort. The cocktails are always exceptional! The Pho Sho and Garden Cosmo were the stars of the night! Service was impeccable, she was attentive without being overbearing!“
“The service here is top notch. My husband and I came on our anniversary before catching the theater. Our reservation was for 5:15, and we admittedly were a bit late, but informed our server that we needed to leave by 6:30 to make our show. The serving staff took good care of us and what we ordered, three courses worth, was all highly flavorful and top notch.“
“I had the shrimp boil and the Brussel sprouts and potatoes that were crispy were fantastic. The sausage was a Great blend of flavor and heat. The shrimp were terrific. The lemon and wet towel was a superb ending I received much joy having clean hands at the table.the catfish was excellent I tried it.Loved the atmosphere and decor. Service was Top Notch thanks.Bathrooms were clean and nice.“
“A place that has been in business for 95 years, in the same building, deserved a visit. When I heard this, I had to take that short drive to Madison, Illinois, to see what this "fish sandwich" craze was all about. I walked in and felt as if I had falling into a time capsule. I mean that in a good way. You had locals at the bar, talking just shooting the breeze. There was a constant flow of foot traffic. The server was patient and very friendly as she balanced cooking, taking orders, and interacting with customers. Not missing a single beat. I was very impressed! So she handed me the brown paper bag. I couldn't wait to get to the car! This sandwich was huge! A beautiful golden crust! Light, not overpowered with seasoning. The homemade tarter sauce. Banana peppers and onions. In between two slices of soft Italian cream bread. Simply delicious is all I can say. This place was worth every mile driven. Great job!“
“This was a night out with my brothers and friends. We enjoyed the atmosphere. The drinks were okay. The bloody mary was simple, not much zing to the taste. It was kind of bland. Our server was polite and friendly. We were treated to vocals from retired football tight end Jackie Smith. He sounded great that night. A nice place for dinner or just cocktails after donner.“
“Really nice place inside. Don't know what the bar looked like because we didn't go in. I have heard people say that it's pricey and of course it is because this isn't your average Mexican restaurant. The menu is small plate oriented and the menu ismore like a tasting menu. The food is higher end than all the other places and outstanding. I can't comment on their drink menu because I seldom drink when going out. I will say that the pricing seem to be a bit higher than most places which will account for a higher per person ticket if one has two or three drinks. Still, our total was $70 ore tip for 2 people including 2 beers. The wait time between "courses" is a bit long but not enough for me to really complain about. The staff were friendly dmv knowledgeable about the menu. It may not me a place we'll go to monthly but we will definitely be back!“
“We were in town for a long weekend celebrating our anniversary and chose to go here for our anniversary dinner. Service was outstanding, the staff was so friendly, a great atmosphere, and delicious pasta. I ordered a cosmopolitan that was great, and we got a dessert that was wonderful also.“
“While in town I had to visit. We only had time for a quick take out of fried green tomatoes and fries. The food was great! Service was awesome. The atmosphere was amazing! While we were there the gentleman that was singing on stage played a Beatles song and the place wasn't busy as it was late but wow it was alive! That song in that bar - I wished I had more time to stay!“
“Listen......I ordered from Marie's SS for the first time today. Wowwwwww. My food was so good, I called the store and talked to Jessica(a sweetheart) while I was eating. That RARELY happens. I should've known the way someone from the store wrote my name on the delivery bag that I was in for a treat. I took a picture of that too. Lol. I ordered the wings&fries, barbecue polish, tacos, and banana pudding. EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY SMASHING. I'm trying to keep this review short, but it ain't working. I took pictures with the bare chicken bones and all because I wanted you---YES YOU----THE ONE READING THIS to understand that I was not playing with this food. It was that good!! I could also taste that it was prepared with care and by someone who took/take pride in the product that they put out.In closing, I know I've got a new spot to grub at! I'm more than impressed and pleased with Marie's Snack Shop. Go ahead and order. Tell Jessica and the crew, "BennyDaBruiser" from the South sent cha! Enjoy!!!!!“
“Absolutely amazing food! I've tried about 12 rolls so far, the seaweed salad, and orange chicken. My partner and I can't get enough of this place! This is one of the best places to eat around Grand and Gravois. I love being able to order online and bring it home!“
“Really cool but you just sort of walk in and stand there. There is no hostess and it's super busy on game day so If it's your first time be prepared. It would also help if "Google Maps* Took you directly to the parking lot which is free.Parking: Great free parking just across the street in a well lit good part of town. The ?️ is hard to find you might have to circle the blood to find it.Kid-friendliness: It's a restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Using the bathroom might be a pain. I don't know I'm not handicapped.“
“Let me just preface this by saying I moved here from South Texas and have spent more than my fair share of time in Old Mexico. In years of searching for REAL Mexican food in St Louis, I’ve had many disappointments. This place was absolutely fantastic and pure pleasure for an old Texan. It even made me shhh my wife because I wasn’t willing to remove my focus from the delicacy I was partaking in. Can’t recommend this place enough and haven’t been able to stop telling others about it. I’ll be a permanent fixture there for sure.“
“Joyful House is a MUST try! ?Have you heard that restaurants attached to grocery stores are the best hidden gems?! Joyful House definitely lives up to this expectation! My Favs:#4 Goi Cuon: Fresh Spring Rolls (PRO-TIP: these are made to order, so you can request just shrimp or just pork)#42 Lau Canh Chua: Sweet & Sour Soup Hot Pot#39 Stir Fried Chili Tofu&& they have Boba Tea!!“
“The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the molcajete which was amazing. The price was great for the quantity of food you get. The staff was friendly. I would recommend visiting. The interior of the restaurant is very beautiful decorated.“
“We went elbows deep on a loaded platter and walked out with fully moisturized hands and arms from the butter bath. Everything was perfectly seasoned, cooked just right and tasted delicious. The shrimp and grits are the best I have has this side of the Mississippi! It really hits all the cozy, comfort dish points. The creamy grits, flavorful gravy and plump juicy shrimp will make you a repeat customer.“
“Always a fun environment with live music and spirited staff and patrons. We came for a Saturday night dinner of with Cajun pasta and red snapper...both were great. Service team we very accommodating and friendly...made the experience even better!“
“I went on an evening that just happened to be snowy one, so the crowd was slim. They were not open yet, but they let me come in and order because it was cold out! The crowd did however pickup before I left, which was about after an hour of my arrival. Sue the bartender was very nice, and made some scrumptious cocktails. The music was cool, and kept the upbeat vibe going. Upon departing, I ordered the pork chop and fries to go from the connecting doorway. The food was delish, and my overall experience was on point.“
“My waiter, Monique was amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious! Monique made sure we had everything we ordered and checked in on . We didn't have to ask for drink refill's. She was on it! Request to be seated in her area! You will not regret it!“
“Stopped in for the first time in on a whim.I chose the horse shoe.Looked okay, tasted great ?.Had toasted ravioli with it that weren't over cooked. They were hot and crispy.Waitress kept an alarm on my empty glass of tea and even sent me home with a to-go tea.Service and food were both far better than I expected. I WILL be back!I'd definitely give them a try.“
“I had been looking for another good black, owned fish, restaurant, other than mothers. Even though I like mothers fish, there aren’t many around…. When I found the Fishhouse, I realize I had found a home.. it’s a family owned business, and their fish is fresh and fried well. They even have good sides, and I don’t usually eat everyone’s side dishes.“
“It's new and still finding it's way but my experiences have been well. The food was accurate, the employees all aim to please, the prices are reasonable. Prepare to wait 20 minutes on all orders. Call ahead or place your order and check out the smoke shop next door. They are also open late.“
“I took my daughter who's 2 on her first bus ride. It must've been God's Plan. Our scheduled day had changed just as our little adventure had begun. At first, we were just going to go home. Instead, we detoured inside to the KING CHOP SUEY on West Florissant. We had such a wonderful and memorable time! The lady took our order and was so very patient. She made our day so much better. (I wish I had learned her name.) My daughter and I sat in and ate. Well, I sat, the baby sat every once in a while. (terrible 2's ?) No one complained, made faces, or gave any attitude. The food was SO GOOD, even the Crab Rangoon! It was hot, fresh and made just as asked. She called out my order as a number but I didn't have one. (it's on the receipt btw). I told her she hadn't given me a number. She didn't argue that she did or give me any flack. She just asked what I ordered. I found it later in my pocket later with my change. (Sorry Ma'am ?) I also asked for something so my daughter could eat on her own. She gave me a cute little baby sized box. It was perfect. The place was very clean, AND I felt safe, which is really something to say in St. Louis City. So, as we're walking through the door later that night, when we FINALLY got home, the first thing my daughter said was RICE!! So we ate the leftovers. That was probably the clearest thing I've heard this girl say besides No, Mama, and Juice. Thank You Guys So Much!!! If ever I get another chance, I'll be back. I definitely recommend this location to others. A much better than their competitors. (Place Unspoken)Kid-friendliness: My daughter and I sat in and ate. “My son’s took me to this place for my birthday brunch. He reserved a table so I highly recommend you check availability to avoid long wait time. Our waitress Mone’ was Awesome ?? she had our table set and ready upon our arrival. It’s a small location but it’s nice there’s video music ?playing on the big screen ? at a low volume and conversational paintings ?️ on the walls while you wait for your order. I ordered the lamb chops with the glaze sauce on the side it was delicious, my son’s and my mom had the shrimp Alfredo, fried potatoes, stacked pancakes, fried chicken, French toast all was good. It was funny that we all eating saying okay this taste good and my son was like mama let me taste your lamb chops I handed him a bone with a little meat? Try this place out you will not be disappointed“
“Fried Shrimp was seasoned well and was hot! Hubby had plain wings and even though it's a seafood place, they were seasoned well and hot also. I will definitely be back, and even though our waitress was slow to get our entire order together, she was very sweet.“
“My husband I I ate breakfast at Main Street Cafe. My husband had a cheese omelette, home fries and English muffin. I had 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. Everything was delicious. The cafe is old but clean, comfortable and the servers are attentive and friendly. We’ll be back!“
“This is one of my favorite places when I need some food but for some reason the fish and shrimp was good but I think that it could have cooked just a little more I don't know is it for the food sitting in the plates for so long and the French fries was over cooked plus you don't get as many as you used too will I good “
“Truly a grown folks' atmosphere and great location to get some good food and drinks, enjoy some great current and throwback contemporary urban adult music, and still chill enough to engage in good conversation. Gotta stop thru to see for yourself. Just 2 minutes walk from 5th and missouri metro link station if you wish to catch the train or park and walk... or if unfamiliar with area.“
