“Had lunch there today and I have to say this is the first time I was disappointed with the service. The food was excellent but that's it. Asked for 2nd drink and never got it. “Love the menu and the food at this place. This is the second time we've been here and I LOVE their stuffed squid. The service was a bit slow this time but we weren't in a rush. One major drawback is that there's NO changing table in either bathroom, and there is no countertop so changing a baby is impossible.

“BEST GREEK SALADS ! I always order from here and I’m never disappointed! I’ve never had a better Greek salad than Mr. Zee’s. Their Greek salad dressing ….. “I went here occasionally after class and have nothing but fond memories. I don't say this lightly... they have the BEST Italian Beef in Chicago. I've tried hundreds of places and beefs. They have them all beat. Service is great, the food is great, and the establishment is clean, quiet, and homey. Fantastic.“

“Walking down Diversey and found this place off the street. Ordered Chicken Shawarma Platter. Boom. Just enough spice to make the tongue dance with some nice rice, hummus and salad to cool it back down. 411 I'm , on a scale from 1 to 10, a 3.5 on the spicy scale. This rides about 4.5. Not a big variety but what they do they do right. If you do gyro, shawarma, falafel and the like you're in. A very basic interior but the food is worth the stop.“

“This is probably one of the worst food pics I've ever taken only because I knew how super delicious everything was going to be and I took it in a hurry to dive in! My husband and I travel through the area a few times a year on the way to see a medical specialist. We discovered this restaurant about 4 years ago and the roasted Greek chicken dinner is ALWAYS a homerun! You know how you hyper fixate on a certain meal, but eventually it loses its shine so to speak, well I keep thinking that will happen with this chicken. But it is consistently amazing. You get a nice big salad or soup, rice with Greek potatoes, freshly cooked vegetables, half or whole chicken, (the whole chicken order only comes with the sides for one like the half chicken, but it could easily feed two) warm pita and a lemon wedge. I happy dance from the first sprinkle of squeezed lemon over my plate on through the last bite. We always have enough to bring home for lunches as well. Such good food that really makes you feel good. Friends back home always ask if I had the chance to stop by during our trips because they know what a highlight it is for us.
The atmosphere can be a little loud and echoey at times. I had an injury that makes bright lights and loud spaces pretty painful at times. “I just want to share an experience before the Internet. I have no clue if this is a family owned business or a franchise. I grew up around the corner from the restaurant in the 70's until I was 8 I would walk there everyday and get cheese fries and pickle spears. I was what you would call a regular customer. I was there so much the owner then out of the kindness of his heart would always take care of my bill and send me home with some extra pickle spears. This was before people ever invented paying it forward. So I would like to truly say thank you and I will always pay it forward from all the kindness I learned in my childhood years. Best cheese fries ever wish I lived closer.“

You don't eat at WCG, you experience it. The place itself is 2½ walls of tinted windows, and the interior is a little old. The place next door is forever changing hands, and is always vacant, sorta like Bob's Burger's. Inside you'll HOPEFULLY meet an older grouchy guy who does NOT have time for your shit. You get like two or three questions max. Think of that one episode of Seinfeld with the soup. There's a daily special, it's usually something good, except one day of the week where it's something you probably would never eat... Either way it comes with fries, drink, and salad or soup for like $12, and you're not going to finish it. You can try and then hate yourself for it, or you can walk around Buena with REALLY good chicken soup, your choice.

The best part though, by FAR, are the people you will see and the spectacle that can unfold if you eat there beyond midnight, particularly on the weekend. You can witness every type of human walk through that door at any moment, but in the five minutes you sit there to eat..
I PROMISE you one of the most. Let's say.. unique..individuals will walk in there and order a cheeseburger combo meal. It never fails, and it's always life changing.....
