Chef Doug Psaltis is a true expert and artist performing at the highest levels. The gyros are the best, best gyros in Chicago by far, the seafood world class, the homemade bread and pita are incredible. The foods and meats are cooked over wood fire, wood fire grilled. We had our daughters baptism catered from here which was excellent assortment of Greek food - this is a Greek restaurant you will go to for many years to come.“

“Solid Greek restaurant experience with friendly service and decent food. For apps we had the Greek salad which was nothing unique, Saganaki for which I would say the same, and octopus which was superb but more expensive than my entree. My entree was the baked chicken which was just average. The room was full and loud.
Though I enjoyed the experience of dining with good friends, there are other Greek restaurants in the vicinity with tastier food for less money. I will likely not return soon.“

“This restaurant continues to provide excellent food and drink. We visit every time we come into Chicago. The duck pita was succulent. The salad with the carob rusks was so delicious. Also we greatly enjoyed the prassopita which was delectable... a fine appetizer shared by two. I drank the Mountain Sun Semeli rose wine. So fresh and well balanced.“

“BEST GREEK SALADS ! I always order from here and I’m never disappointed! I’ve never had a better Greek salad than Mr. Zee’s. Their Greek salad dressing ….. Their full slab of Baby Back Ribs has been $25 for ages, and it's as good as it's always been, fall off the bone tender right balance of sweet and salty, a little fat and their delicious glaze.

Portions are good, food is out in like 3-8 minutes, love coming here.“

“I just had the best gyro of my life at Gyro Guys! From the first bite, I knew I was in for something special. The gyro was completely full of meat and the meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. This gyro was a real nuke it was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The pita was soft and fresh, and the tzatziki sauce was creamy and tangy, complementing the gyro perfectly. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner who is known as Chef Zuzu, he told me they recently opened up and seems like a great, honest, and hardworking business owner. “New to Chicago and on the hunt for good middle eastern food in my area. I had a bogo deal through Uber/Postmates and decided to try out the Chicken Shawarma platter for pickup/takeout. I received a generous portion of rice, chicken, a small salad, hummus, and one pita per plate.

Overall, this is a good option close to me that seems nice for takeout over dine-in. Service here was excellent and the environment was clean. The food wasn’t my favorite - mostly paying for rice, chicken was good but dry, seasoning was very light - but the portions were generous. I personally wouldn’t dine here again unless I had a good deal for the price point and quality.“

“I walk and run by George’s pretty often and was craving a gyro so I decided to stop in. It’s a bit of a whole in the wall but sometimes that’s the best kind of vibe. I decided to get the gyro plate which came with way more food than I expected. It was pretty delicious and came out pretty quickly. I took it to go and it held up well in transit.“

“This is probably one of the worst food pics I've ever taken only because I knew how super delicious everything was going to be and I took it in a hurry to dive in! My husband and I travel through the area a few times a year on the way to see a medical specialist. We discovered this restaurant about 4 years ago and the roasted Greek chicken dinner is ALWAYS a homerun! You know how you hyper fixate on a certain meal, but eventually it loses its shine so to speak, well I keep thinking that will happen with this chicken. But it is consistently amazing. You get a nice big salad or soup, rice with Greek potatoes, freshly cooked vegetables, half or whole chicken, (the whole chicken order only comes with the sides for one like the half chicken, but it could easily feed two) warm pita and a lemon wedge. I happy dance from the first sprinkle of squeezed lemon over my plate on through the last bite. We always have enough to bring home for lunches as well. Such good food that really makes you feel good. Friends back home always ask if I had the chance to stop by during our trips because they know what a highlight it is for us.
The atmosphere can be a little loud and echoey at times. I had an injury that makes bright lights and loud spaces pretty painful at times.
