“This restaurant was kaddie corner to my Grandparents on Albany Ave. I went there when I was a boy in the 1970's...it was great back then. It says something that it is still around and still retains the Restaurant Neon sign on it. I would see that illuminated out my Gram's back window... Love it.“

“Bialy’s always has a very friendly staff, atmosphere, and great food. You can essentially get anything on their menu (breakfast/lunch/dinner) from open to close. A small detail I always love is their refried beans, definitely far better than comparable restaurants.“

“So I visited this place at least three times with a carry out order and customer service was awesome first time. Second I decided to go due to the good food and definitely the customer service, again awesome. Third, I enjoyed my food as always with recommendations from the young lady ( forgot her name). All three times I was either on crutches or knee brace. They were so sweet they helped me with my food to car an even told me to pull up to place and they’ll have my order ready for me! They were very nice to help me and for that I’m grateful. They went above and beyond. They made sure I was taken care of. So I brought my daughter there and she agree with the great customer service. “I am from Los Angeles and went to visit family around the corner from Don's. This diner took me back to a time when the food was hearty, well priced, and to die for. I love me some chili from Don's with cheese and onions, all the breakfasts they have, and the cheeseburgers with fries. The patrons were more than happy to make room for our huge party of 9, and the service is just as good. The cooks and servers dishing up great stories and great food. I wish I had a Don's around the corner from my home that I could walk to, any time of the day or night.“

“I placed an order to go. Was informed that there was a $3.00 to go charge and a gratuity would be added on the order cause it was over $100.00. After I checked the receipt, $18.35 was the gratuity. I thought it would be maybe $5.00. Very disappointed. Had I known this, I would have come into the restaurant and ate there had them provide me with service. I am a senior and that was definetly not right. I've already instructed my family not to get me gift card from Maple and Jam.“

“I have the avocado lotto and it was plenty so much that I have enough for supper. The fruit was fresh and plentiful. The tunafish and cottage cheese were excellent. “I've been going to both joes on 51st. Both are usually good. It's still the best bang for your buck, however, today I has the ribeye med well Hashrowns with onion bell peppers and cheese with French toast and everything was a hit. “First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

“I have only been to this restaurant once. From the outside it looks like its barely hanging on. It needs some sprucing on the outside. The interior though is classic and traditional. It has an interior that Bronzeville's Pearls Place could really use and space that Valois in Hyde Park really needs. I can also recall how good the pancakes were. I can't say much about anything else. It's been a while. My hope is that they could clean up and modernize the outside. For this they may need an infusion of cash. I believe the outside is where the business falls off a bit I mean you wouldn't even think it was open for business. Its the only place worth eating at in the whole 8th ward. The area is filled with junk food options and it's a shame. I will be back soon.“

“Great comfortable place to rest and eat a delicious meal. They will make whatever you like even if it's not on the menu. Whatever you order it's going to taste delicious!! Great friendly service and large portions of food. I am always taking leftovers home. My favorite is the double cheeseburger with everything. It includes grilled onions, delicious chilli and an egg on top. The egg is cooked the way you like it. I enjoy an over easy egg on top of my burger. OMG delicious!! They also have a gaming room in the back.“
