Sadly the restaurant is across the street from one of the largest bulk mail centers in the Midwest. The flavor was very good and unique with the potato cakes and grilled tomatoes. Surprisingly, the most tasty item we had were the pancakes. My son ordered the oreo pancakes and I had a bite of it. “This restaurant is good albeit a bit pricey. And the servers are friendly. My complaint is about the service charge for credit cards. I understand that it is standard practice these days so I bring cash when I know I am going. However, this past visit the check came and the service charge was not listed as a separate line. Just to make sure before I paid with cash, I asked the server if this bill included a service charge. Without saying yes or no, the server reprinted another receipt right at the table that was lower and did not include the service charge. If I hadn't asked, I would have been charged the credit card service charge although I paid cash. That is stealing.“

“Been here a few times for breakfast and it's ok. We ordered the skirt steak skillet and unfortunately it lacked flavor. We tried adding salt and pepper but unfortunately it didn't help much. The service was good even though it was pretty busy. The coffee cup had lipstick most likely from previous user.“

“I almost never leave reviews, but I order from here way more than I care to admit. I have not been inside or eaten there, I’ve only ordered via delivery, but I have never been disappointed! The food is really good - very tasty, still arrives hot, they are open late, good portions, and not too pricey. The enchiladas and flautas are my main goto.“

“Whenever I'm in Chicago I search for hidden gem foodie spots. I mean Chicago is literally foodie Heaven. We didn't dine in because we were trying to prepare for an event but I'm kind of glad we didn't. It's small and dark inside, and I felt like the tables were too close together. But they made up for it all with an AMAZING breakfast. I got the gyro skillet. Absolutely delicious!! The picture does it absolutely no justice.. I never thought of gyro as a breakfast item and now I know I need it often. There were huge portions of meat and amazing tzatziki sauce and nobody will ever call them stingy with the cheese because for every bite I got delicious feta cheese chunks mixed in. It was amazing. The pancakes were basic, there was nothing wrong with them but I'm not going to reminisce on them. But that gyro skillet!!! I can't wait to get it again“

“Courageous Bakery and Cafe has some solid breakfast and pastry choices. My husband is a huge sucker for breakfast burritos and I am a huge fan of buttery, flakey biscuits. Courageous has both so it's a win-win for us! Besides breakfast, we would typically order croissants, cupcakes, and/or 4 inch birthday cake to go. None of those have disappointed us. The only downside is the horchata loca latte was somewhat mediocre in which both horchata and coffee flavors were underwhelming.“
