“I asked to be seated in front of the fireplace 6 weeks ago and the host sat us at a window seat. It's Easter....not going to make a big deal; but worth noting! Mary Luna was delightful as was the staff and service. Chef is always fabulous and the presentation delightful.“

Sports oriented. Did not check out the menu. We just ordered a beverage. Wait staff was kind, cheerful, and attentive. They have a nice patio as well. A great place to relax as you wait for a train or a great place to unwind after a day downtown and long train ride.“

“The staff have been really rude to me ever since I pointed out that my tab was wrong and I was overcharged. I wasn't upset about the double charges, I just wanted them corrected. I've barely been waited on since then it seems. I tried to step in a help once when a patron had been over served. It wasn't welcomed at all. I was given the same look as I get when I walk up to the bar to get a drink. Too bad, it's really close to home to me. I haven't been in over a year and have no plans on returning.“

“I was in the other day for lunch and the music was so loud, you couldn't talk to the person next to you without shouting. Your fish fry is very good and I want to keep coming in, but with the music that loud, I will be going elsewhere.“

“We went here for a Friday night fish fry. We did carry out but they are open to the public. Fried cod, baked potato and coleslaw. Myhusband liked the fish alot but said it needed a little lemon or something to spice it up. I had fried shrimp which were very large with a baked potato and coleslaw. The coleslaw was not that great, but we enjoyed the rest of the meal alot. I would recommend this place for a good inexpensive fish fry.“

“Poor service and horrible beer. I ordered a brew dog hazy IPA and the waitress brought me some kind of red ale which is clearly not a hazy IPA. See attachment for what the beer should look like and what they brought me. Waitress does nothing to remediate the situation. Never seen such a poorly run business. Staff have bad attitudes and beer was definitely not right. Maybe it was spoiled or they substituted a cheaper product. Do not go here.“

“We went to The City Gate Grille to celebrate a birthday. I had some requests to help those gathering have an enjoyable lunch. Requests were very kindly and thoroughly met. Natalie at the front desk and Kamalia (I apologize if I don't have her name exactly correct) our wait staff and a gentleman whose name I didn't get were so attentive and pleasant from the moment we arrived. They even turned the music down in our area to help with the dining conversation. The food was delicious and the wine was a nice pour. This establishment has a cool city vibe. All in our group had a fabulous time. My first time here but it won't be my last. Thank you City Gate Grille.“
