“Had a birthday party here for 10 people we hadddd a ball we had so much fun when I say to need to come you should they even let me bring in food the owner was very nice stayed on point with Communication in booking the room they really need to have a bottle service spent 200$ on shots but a very cool place to go will come back again thank you“
“The coolest bar in Rogers Park! They have a small but fun cocktail selection, great beer & cider selection, super super friendly staff and the best vibes. They have no food but you are allowed to bring any takeout you want or you can directly order to your table from any restaurant you want. Such chill vibes honestly. We were here as a huge group last week for our friends birthday party (about 40 of us) and our waiter has been a saint with taking sssoooo many orders and hand delivering them to the correct person, and with the most fun attitude too! It honestly doesn’t get better than this.“
“Awesome steakhouse in Rivers casino! We love Gibson's/Hugo's downtown, so it's always fun to go to this location at the casino. Steak, salads, cocktails, wine, desserts, all amazing! Service is great and the manager always seems to be around and checking in with tables. Always a fantastic experience“
“So this place is an amazing "Pocha" experience! Great social drinking vibe with amazing food. Note that the wait can be 40mins+ and it can get very packed. Now although you might wait a bit, which should give you enough time to have an order in mine, the food comes out super fast once placed. Probably took only 10mins for the food to start coming out.Highly highly recommend the Tofu Kimchi (which comes with pork belly), Spicy BBQ pork belly w/mozzarella, and the Rose Tteok bok ki.Definitely what we were looking for and they also have karaoke which we might come back to try.“
“If you want an amazing steak, this is the place! Steak at an Italian restaurant you ask? Yes. They have a dry aged tomahawk steak this is to die for. Mind you it is expensive, but so worth it. It’s huge and when we go as a couple we get it plus a few sides. It is also great for a larger group because then you have room to enjoy their pastas and desert. People usually think you go to a steakhouse to get a great steak. But I have found that many Italian and French restaurants offer these larger prime cuts and they are usually outstanding.“
“Even though it was super busy bc of Valentines , service was spot on. Everybody was working so hard to accommodate every table. Food was delicious. We love the fact that it's family run. Everyone is so cordial and pleasant. We keep going back for more. We like sitting at the bar also, Jackie, the bartender is friendly and sweet And efficient. Give it a try!“
“I just moved to Chicago and walked to Randall’s for a Christmas night cap and the 49ers game. WOW! This place is incredible. The bar is clean, cozy, welcoming and has a nice shuffleboard table (I wish more bars had them). Juan, one of the owners, was behind the bar pouring delicious cocktails and was great conversation. I can’t wait to make this my staple watering hole!“
“I'm so glad G's is back open! The whole vibe of the place has changed. Make sure you stop by to see Esther on Wed or Fri. She makes the whole experience better! From having a expert knowledge of drinks to her warm and welcoming personality, she makes your night! It's a lively and colrful feel and the patio is out of this world!“
“Everything about our experience was five stars. First off the ambiance was so nice, stylish but comfortable and cozy. My four year old spilled milk all over him, the booth and the floor. The staff, Claudia (server), Andres and Kristine (host) were so unbelievably kind, attentive and responsive I don't think I have ever experienced that before. Kristine was so helpful and concerned she even offered me a clean towel to help dry him off in the restroom. I haven't even mentioned the food! Everything we ordered was delicious. We had an assortment of small plates (focaccia, Brussel sprouts, calamari, farro) as well as pasta and the burger was enjoyed by all. We would definitely be regulars if we were local.“
“I love going to Fritzy's Tavern if they accept credit cards, debit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay. I can't wait to go this good bar again. My favorite bar is better than The Anvil. If you're not satisfied with the gay bar The Anvil that only accept cash, DON'T GO THERE on Granville Ave.“
“The atmosphere is fantastic both indoors and out. Recently I discovers that Log Cabin has a Bocce Leauge on Thursdays! I was so impressed I’m throwing my 50th birthday here this June! The food is great, the beer is cold, the music the best, the fire pits are fantastic & the service is pleasant and kind!“
“Everything we had was delicious and truly in hefty amounts, so much we left alot to discard unfortunately (we were flying so no way to package it up).. Waiters very pleasant and great at making suggestions.. If you like a strong flavorful drink, Try the dacquiri or mojito! Awesome!“
“I used to basically be here every week prior to COVID and I missed it dearly. It's fantastic now! I live around the corner and will be back absolutely regularly from this point on. Bartender is wicked cool and a great performer. Other acts effing killed. I'm so happy it's become such a wonderful haunt.“
“Hi guys, just wanna let you guys know the garage bar in sandwiches is a great spot to have food. The service was OK. Not the best but the food makes everything better. Unfortunately the drinks were trash. I shouldn’t say trash because that’s understatement. They are horrible they taste nothing but syrup don’t get drinks or specialty drinks here get anything on tap that was better, good luck“
“My wife and I randomly discovered this place, and it didn't disappoint! We were hoping to find a chill spot to grab a drink with low-key vibes, and this was exactly the place we were looking for. They have fantastic beer, easy-going nature, and it just feels like a place you want to hang. They have an awesome array of board games which we love, and took part in. We had to cut the night short but it was a spot we could have stayed for hours. We now know exactly where to hit up next time we go to Highwood!“
“A rare North Shore gem combining outstanding cuisine with art from local artists. As it's name implies, the Gallery is an art gallery, but with a kitchen and an extremely talented chef. The menu and art are both updated every 3 months. We have been to the Gallery for the past 5 menus and every visit has been excellent. The menu is very limited but offers enough options for most people (so far, there has always been a salmon, another seafood entree, a beef entree, and a poultry entree). While limited in choice, the execution of every dish is at the very top of the fine dining scene and could compete with most of the top rated restaurants in Chicago - in our experience the Gallery should be a Bib Gourmand contender. While the entree is the star here, two non-entree items deserve special mention. First, the deviled eggs with balsamic and bacon are so good we have felt many times we could just eat a few orders of deviled eggs and be happy, and are in the "must have" category (thankfully, these are on every menu so far). Second, the pastry deserts are executed at a level that I would not expect except at a Michelin starred restaurant. The deserts have been mostly different each visit, but they have always blown us away. Don't skip desert! Note that the Gallery has a very limited wine and spirits menu, but they encourage you to bring your own wines with a very minimal corkage fee.“
“We visited this amazing establishment last night and ordered the filet and the Manhattan strip for our entrées with a side of the mushrooms, and it was possibly one of the best steaks we had had. Our server and Jesse was wonderful, and when he wasn’t available home, there was another manager who came and brought items out, so there was no delay in service while he was attending another customer and socialized at the table. We dined outside on the patio underneath the heat lamp and lights. The Barn was the perfect atmosphere for our relaxing evening together. We were very pleased with all that we ordered as well as the service. We would highly recommend the Barn restaurant to others.“
“I was always resistant to trying bar food but my son loves going there with his friends so, I had to give it a try and to my surprise, the food was absolutely amazing. I used to only order the sample platter, steak sandwich and chicken wings but last night I tried their steak fajitas and it was surprisingly spectacular. Their margarita didn't taste as authentic as the food made by authentic Mexicans. However the manager was kind enough to offer me an amazing old fashioned and the bartender nailed it making my experience even more special. I'm not a fan of dive bars but they make you feel very welcome definitely turning into one of my regular places to go!“
“It is always a pleasure dining here. Wonderful service is always provided. Great food with large portions. The cocktails are amazing! Let’s not forget the tasty appetizers and scrumptious desserts!!! GA must try!! You will not be disappointed!!“
“We dined at Plateia for the first time tonight. The food is absolutely fantastic. We had the feta and honey appetizer along with tzatziki and fresh warm pita. For our main course, I had the yogurt chicken and oven potatoes which were delicious. My husband had the pastitcio which he enjoyed. Service was great, too! By the way, while waiting did our table, we observed a screaming woman who was upset that she had not been seated yet. She was incredibly rude to the hostesses and left in a huff. She threatened to leave nasty reviews on Yelp, calling the restaurant "trash". Make no mistake... she was the trashy one. If she leaves a review here, ignore it!“
“I stayed at the Graduate in Evanston for a few days in July. I really liked the vintage style of the hotel building, and the friendly staff, but I was dismayed at how cold it was in the hotel because of the excessive air conditioning. I turned it off in our room as soon as we arrived and the temperature remained comfortable there during our whole stay. It seemed to me that the AC in the lobby, the restaurant, and the bar was actually set to a lower temperature than the heating would be in the winter. And there was a fire in the fireplace, with temperatures in the 80s and 90s outside and AC on! The Graduate Hotel management seems to be ignoring how important saving energy is right now, in light of global warming. Their blatant disregard for the environment sent a shiver down my spine in more than one way.“
“The Newark Nook is one of the more famous speakeasy's on Chicago's Northwest side. While it is most famous for being Milton S. Hershey's preferred watering hole when he visited Chicago for the 1893 World's Fair, it was also the scene of several gangland shootings in the 1920's, and was built on the site of a civil war battle where famed wild Buffalo hunter, Col. Michael Gallen, was killed. Today the bar is mostly known for its extensive cocktail list and secret lounge area. The food is prepared by a former James Beard award winning chef but is a bit too fancy to my taste, but everything is very nice. The Colonel Gallen Buffalo Nachos are stellar and include a commemorative plate that can be taken home.“
“We had a reservation for Easter Brunch for 11 and a high chair. When we arrived it was a bar height table. I mentioned it to them. They were very gracious apologized and corrected the problem within 15 minutes. This was my first time at the Oak at The Glen. Nice variety at the buffet, great omelets, crap cakes, paiella, lox and bagels, fruit, desserts. Nice selection for children. Everyone we had contact with was cheerful and seemed happy we were there. I highly recommend.“
“My wife & I have been going to Toad's for a few years now and we're very happy with it. It's a small, family owned bar where we're treated like family. Plenty of parking and you can carry in food from any of Highwoods' many restaurants. Biker and Military friendly.“
“The food is consistently very good & fresh. The burgers are smaller than they used to be & more than a little pricey. The shrimp cocktail is very tasty with horseradish in the sauce. The french fries & coleslaw are also really good too.“
“Do yourself a favor and grab some friends for karaoke and Korean food at AGIT. A group of us went on a Saturday night and we had a karaoke room for 2hrs. Depending on the size of your group they may add a few chairs in so everyone can fit. Once you're in your room you can start with the karaoke session and in the corner of the TV tells you how much time you have left of your session. They also have instructions on the wall for how to use the remote to choose songs and how to use the control. You can press a button and a staff member will come and wait on you. We ordered a handful of stuff to share family style. We had the bulgogi, fried chicken, seafood pancake, tteokbokk. There was plenty of food to go around and everything I ate was enjoyable. It was so much fun being in a private room and eating delicious food. I wish they would have had plates instead of the paper boats because you can't fit much in the boat and maybe some serving untensils for the dishes. But minor things I could look past. They are located in a strip mall so there is plenty of parking avaliable.“
“I just took my 12 year old nephew here as a surprise adventure. The place is amazing! It’s well laid out. There is plenty to do for every one. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond. And the prices are reasonable for both games and the bar. We will definitely be back.“
“Great bar! Like a REAL bar, where you can grab a beer and a shot, talk Chicago sports and neighborhood with Regulars, helmed by a great bartender, Ken. Bonus Points... having an incredible name (Bringer Inn, love that) and being right next door to, arguably, Chicago's BEST Deep Dish pizza.“
“Great, friendly, neighborhood bar. Jimmy will make you feel like you've been friends forever. Not usually open on Sundays, but Jimmy will open specially for Bears games, and you might also get to sample his homemade chili, sloppy joes, or maybe even some Little Caesar's pizza! ?“
“I watched Andrew Luck beat Peyton Manning in a playoff game in this bar in January of 2015. I was there with my cousin, his wife, and some friends. Never been back, but we still incessantly reference “The Sovereign” any chance we get, nearly 10 years later. It’s that kinda bar ??“
“HP institution. Norton's is a great little bar. A bit pricey for the end product, but they have decent bar food and better-than-bar food, along with a nice selection of beverages. A small variety of taps, though what they do have are fine choices. Good service. Gets a little loud sometimes, but it's a bar. Whaddaya gonna do?“
“This is a cool spot in Highwood. Nothing really stands out as exceptional, but everything was pretty good.I got the rueban sandwich because we were there on St Patrick's Day. It was ok. The plain French fries were very average, but the truffle fries were much better. The calamari was good, but the other appetizers were not so much. The goat cheese was bland and the crab cakes were small and mushy.I had an alcohol free cocktail and it was good, but not $9 good. The cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were both loved by our dining partners. The service was pretty slow, but I'm sure they were under staffed since it was a holiday weekend.“
“Dropped in for a quick dinner. Was offered chips and salsa immediately, which was delicious.Ordered 3 tacos. Food arrived within 5 minutes! I got the Carne Asada, Crispy Fish and Pork belly. I was expecting the pork belly to be the best one, but it was the crispy fish that had the most flavour!“
“I'm kicking myself that I didn't get to this place sooner. I've driven past it for years. They are dog friendly yet they serve food, albeit a limited menu. That's unusual and a huge plus for me and my pups. I got a burger and it was solid. I don't remember the price but it was fair, as we're the drinks. I will definitely be returning.“
“Wanted something different for lunch and went to Tommy’s and was pleasantly surprised. When you walk in the bar is right there and the dinning area was in the back along with gaming.Darlene was the server/bartender and was pleasant and helpful with the menu making food suggestions.Pizza was half off! Philly steak was very good. Fries were mushy and oily.Beer selection was decent and wall decor was entertaining!Great place for a burger and brew!“
“Came here for a family member's birthday. The menu was updated and the food was very tasty with large portions. The atmosphere is energetic and fun. I would recommend more low-carb options but otherwise this place is fire ?. I got a healthy dinner regardless that was very tasty.“
“Frankie was the absolute best. She was so funny and kept the drinks coming. It is so hard to find someone so charming and caring now a days. Filoneks really hit the jackpot with her. Did not hurt she was so beautiful as well. Definitely will be back“
“First and foremost, the staff of any restaurant are the ones that truly keep an establishment running and thriving and are the heart and representation of the business. The hostess / order-taker and crew at Stacked and Folded, were super friendly to us and offered such great customer service! The atmosphere inside is very nice and offers an elevated casyal food experience.Even though the average taco is around $6.50, it is very large and offers a lot of the actual ingredients. This was the case with my short rib taco. The short rib taco did offer a little bit of that spicy hot but not too much which was good, and yes, was slightly sweet in the sauce as advertised. Overall, the flavor combination was very good and would rate it a 3.9 out of 5. It was just tender and juicy enough, but could even be a little bit more tender in the meat. I know it is not easy when it comes to short ribs and believe me they did a good job here! It is worth getting! We had also ordered the short rib sandwich, but I recommend to have the short rib in the taco form. It just taste even better with the corn tortillas! The sweet potato fries are a five out of five star! Some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. They are cooked perfection, and have that right texture on the outside and perfect on the inside. Amazing. Now as a cook, my (James’) critique is focused on the shrimp taco. Like every other item, Katherine and I had, the shrimp taco is made in a very fresh and flavorful, non-greasy and healthy tasting manner. What observations and what can be worked on from the creators of the menu is the following:The shrimp in your shrimp tacos-at least when we visited—was just plain cooked shrimp and was actually dry. My advice based on the best shrimp tacos I have ever encountered or made are taking thawed raw shrimp, then marinate them of course, and grill them briefly and just right so that they come out juicy and tender and with that amazing flavor profile. That would make your shrimp tacos a five out of five.“
“A lot of investors are confused and go into deep research, for a trusted and legit platform to trade and invest in. I was also looking for the best not until I read good reviews and recommendations about Mrs MELISSA CRYPTO, With her great skill of trading and mining made a good profit for so many in their trade account. I was amazed how happy many investors wrote good comments about her. I contacted the amazing account manager MELISSA ,and invested with her with believe, and“
“I would say that All Inn is like Narnia, it is a very distinguished place to visit, every single time someone gets to All Inn they can only expect the most wonderful and incredible experience. Im telling you with all honesty that all of the different people that you can meet at this magical place will give you a nice and different perspective of your life. If you haven’t experienced it, I don’t know what you are waiting for.“
“We absolutely the food, service, and vibe at Jimoto and have been here a number of times. Last night we went with friends (& fellow sushi-lovers) who experienced Jimoto for the first time. They also loved it and swore to return soon. We went for the "Happy Hour" and were happy we did. We ate our weight in sushi rolls and cucumber salad. It was a very nice, delicious, and moderately-priced dinner, even with six glasses of wine and a beer. We will be back soon; Happy Hour or not.“
“They sell liquor and it’s a bar. Super nice bartenders, drinks are cheap and it’s well kept! The decor is what you’d usually find at a bar but it definitely makes it feel like a bar so I enjoyed the atmosphere. My vegas bombs were amazingly delicious. Jukebox and a pool table. ATM if you need it. $10 minimum for using a card but my two vegas bombs covered that real easy. Highly recommend if you just want a dive feeling and need something quick, cheap, yet good quality. 10/10“
“Absolutely, Delicious.. Definitely will come back!’ Cook is a chef.. everything I tried was delicious.. pizza#1 salad, bean soup & the $2 hot pepper with garlic & parsley was amazing! Waiter#1 so friendly & makes the best cappuccino.Garlic bread.. yummy!!!“
“I had passed Meier's Tavern for years and decided to stop there today. I was not disappointed. The Patty Melt was the best I've had in years! The atmosphere was appealingly old school, the service was casual and friendly. Needless to say, I'll be back“
“I'll probably hate myself but I have to sing Mary's praises! Best prices ANYWHERE for a shot and a beer! Now that you know I'll probably never be able to find a parking spot again. :) This is a quaint neighborhood bar where the prices can't be beat! Mary is a lovely lady and runs a tight ship when it comes to making sure her bar is a welcoming place where people can mingle without a crap-load of drama. Act up and you're out the door. Most of us are up there in years and appreciate we have a place to tip a few without having to scream over rap or metal music but instead can dance a few to our favorite oldies. Come by and say hi to Mary, Cheryl and Lucy who are the best at keeping 'em coming and keeping a smile on your face.“
“Beautiful room, attentive service, and generous servings of excellently prepared dishes. The desserts are excellent, though the types were limited. I loved the chocolate cake - it was huge. I love the restaurant and will definitely return.Dietary restrictions: The kitchen addressed all my dietary restrictions due to my many food allergies. Made adjustments without compromising the flavor of my dishes. Amazing!“
“The Low-Key Vibe: Cunneen’s is like that cozy sweater you’ve had since college—slightly worn, but oh-so-comfortable. It’s not a dive bar, but it’s not trying to be the next hipster hotspot either. Trendy cocktails? Nah. Micro-brews? Maybe if you squint. A wine list? Sure, if you count the grape juice in the corner. And table service? Darling, you’re at Cunneen’s—order at the bar and pay with cash. They don’t take Venmo, but they’ll gladly accept your Monopoly money.Origins: Cunneen’s was birthed by Steve Cunneen, a med school grad who decided that curing diseases was overrated. Instead, he opened this joint with his buddies. Ed Holstein & Bill SavageIn Summary: Cunneen’s is more than a bar; it’s a neighborhood institution. So grab your pocket change, leave your pretensions at the door, and join the chorus of laughter. Because at Cunneen’s, everyone’s a regular—even the clock.Disclaimer: The above review contains 100% more whimsy than your average Yelp post. “My goodness what a sweet gem of a place. Off the beaten path and I would’ve never gone here if it wasn’t for an event. They accommodated our group of 12 and were so attentive. We ordered most everything on the menu including bolognese, carbonara, all sorts of salads, crispiest fries, a couple of pizzas. Everything was solid and as hoped. The service was outstanding. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, very casual. Most people dinning appeared to be regulars there and we could see why. If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a try.“
“Blue Horse Tavern, Lulu's, Taco Diablo, and Five & Dime are all connected if you were confused like I was originally. When you get seated at any dining area of these establishments, you can order from all the different restaurants menus. Very interesting concept, almost like a sit-down food court in a way, but I think the food and the atmosphere is way better than any food court I have been in. I enjoy the tacos at Taco Diablo (a little expensive, but still tasty), but my recent order of the full rack ribs was fantastic. The house sauce has a strong bourbon flavor, pretty interesting and unique. Great since I was really craving ribs and wanted to try ribs from a place I had never ordered them from before. I was pretty skeptical since this isn't a bbq place, but I was pleasantly surprised! The meat fell off the bone as we were cutting into the ribs, which was already a good sign. Theres a lot of dishes I still haven't tried, specifically from the Lulu's menu, so I'll have to come back and try those out!“
“Possibly my new favorite restaurant! Went on a date night, loved the atmosphere and our server Marisol was so kind, great service! She easily accommodated my gluten allergy. We both had burgers and agreed they were probably the best burgers we've ever had. Looking forward to coming back.“
