“Great little place we visited on a whim from out of town to meet a friend.

We were seated politely in the back area with lots of patio umbrellas on a nice deck porch.

We had lunch, but it looks like they have live music and a really great atmosphere for the evenings for anyone looking for a great place to chill with friends and a very relaxed atmosphere outdoors.

The bacon popcorn was really great. I had a chicken sandwich that was pretty good (maybe the chicken was a tiny dry) and my husband really loved his Cuban sandwich.

I would definitely try this place again on a Sunday afternoon

“Doit's Village Inn. What can I say negative about this place. Absolutely nothing. I've been going into this bar for numerous years. And I've always been welcomed with a smile from the bar tender , too the kitchen cooks , to the customers. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for The cook at Village inn, Mr gravy. One of the nicest men you will ever meet.. I met 2 gentlemen while shooting pool just 2 days ago. And shot pool with them and chatted for 4 hrs and enjoyed myself. I've made many of friends here. If you have never been here then you need to stop in, play there slots 5 stars, have some drinks 5 stars order some food 5 stars. Thank you every one.“

“It's a cool local dive bar

On Saturday nights, they have karaoke, and I've been a few times now.

The KJ is awesome, Cowboy is very engaging and worth a visit if you like to sing or are a karaoke enthusiast.

Sometimes, the music gets a little too loud at the end of the night. I find it difficult to enjoy the sound when the volume becomes uncomfortable.

The bartender is very attentive and focuses on her job, which isn't always the case in dive bars.

The mix drink prices are reasonable. Small, plastic cups render the drinks a little on the strong side, so if you drink in volume, have a plan.

The bottled beers are very cold, and their prices inspire smiles.

“Got the hot wings to go . They were some of the best wings I’ve ever had. I live in Lake St Louis , was taken there by a friend, so glad she did. Can’t wait to go there and sit and have a few Stags , which is my favorite. Looking forward to order other items from the menu. The day I was there , the bartender and patrons were very friendly. “We were driving around downtown Alton with our moms and stopped in for a drink—what a spot! The inside of the bar has all the things—huge and beautiful wood bar, tables aplenty, TVs playing all the sports all games, slots, and the best part of all: Ricky the bartender, who welcomes everyone regardless of who they are with a warm smile and story after story to make you feel like you are at home. This chance encounter ended up being a highlight of our weekend trip to Grafton. Definitely check this bar out; you’ll be glad you did!“

“2 men got physically violent with a women the other night. she was barred, they were not. she may have raised her voice, but did not get violent. they should have been barred. why kind of message are you sending if you let violent people stay in your bar when they will SLAM a woman in between her car & car door multiple times. they are laughing about getting away with it. hope women see how dangerous that situation is at a bar that clearly cares more about money than safety.“

“We came in today and had lunch. We were able to bring our dog in and they even had water/food bowls, and even had “pup cups” that were actual food! My girl LOVED it! The bartender and the girl who made our food were DELIGHTFUL to say the least. They provided a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and isn’t normal food truck food you’d find at a carnival. They had stuff for kids to play with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, they also advertised their trivia night, and when they do live music. My husband got to sample of new beers and he NEVER strays from a Budweiser. He really enjoyed what beer he ordered. It was a LITTLE on the pricier side but with the experience we had today, we’ll pay it every time. We raved about this place the whole way home. We will DEFINITELY be back!“
