“I have gone to Andros Taverna for many years now where I am never disappointed and always impressed with the service, the quality of food and ingredients, the atmosphere and the passion in general. Chef Doug Psaltis is a true expert and artist performing at the highest levels. The gyros are the best, best gyros in Chicago by far, the seafood world class, the homemade bread and pita are incredible. The foods and meats are cooked over wood fire, wood fire grilled. We had our daughters baptism catered from here which was excellent assortment of Greek food - this is a Greek restaurant you will go to for many years to come.“

“Had lunch there today and I have to say this is the first time I was disappointed with the service. The food was excellent but that's it. Asked for 2nd drink and never got it. Water was never refilled until we were through eating. When first ordering our wine we had problems. I will continue to eat here and hopefully this is a one time occurrence.“

All our holiday needs were easily available for us. Unfortunately, we moved out to Poplar Grove, Illinois near Belvedere and have missed them greatly. The food was DELICIOUS.. authentic tastes, we got the Prassopita, haloumi , souvlakia and Kokoretsi pair with some greek FIX beers. The atmosphere on the terrace was beautiful, the smell of roasting meets made everything feel like you are in a cute restaurant somewhere in a village in Greece. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable. All the stuff was very polite and welcoming!“

“Very good for quick quality service. The portions are extremely abundant, you definitely won’t be hungry. I like how they specify on their menu which type of oil that is used. The gyros meat tends to be a bit too salty, but this is probably how it just is.“

“Had an amazing meal at Kouklas! Was referred by a friend, and so glad we tried it. Meal comes one plate at a time (think full size tapas) and every dish was delicious. Ordered the Eggplant, Dolmades, Octopus, Branzino, and Soulvaki - it was all wonderfully prepared. Dessert was great too. Service was very attentive. Can’t wait to come back and try other dishes! “My fiancé and I have been a gyro war. I’m a Skokie Dengeos girl and he’s a diehard Squabs fan. While it’s hard to compete with childhood memories after trying Squabs I totally get it. The gyro was perfectly cooked, the tzatziki was beautiful, the fries were delicious. The absolute standout was the customer service. I was having such a bad day. I confused the gyro plate with the gyro dinner and they took such good care of me. I had cried the whole ride over and left with the biggest smile and a plate of leftovers. 10/10 I will be coming back every chance I get.“

One of the appetizers gets presented lit on fire, and we got warm complimentary pita bread. I ordered grilled shrimp and chicken kebab and the lamb shank, both yummy. Definitely one of my new favorite places in Andersonville. Eating at Andie’s will make your wildest dreams come true!“
