“This is a great spot. Delicious vegan goodies, including sweet baked goods as well as some savory options, and the owner is always so kind to his customers. It feels like a community here. They are dog friendly and don't mind if you bring your well behaved pup into the store.

I haven't been here in a while but need to come back! They even sell flour from a local miller who uses organic heirloom grain varieties. So unique.“

“Bluegrass Restaurant is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant. We have been ordering takeout and eating in since we came to Highland Park three years ago. The owners take pride in managing the restaurant on a daily basis. They prioritize customer service, great food, and a warm, welcoming experience. Last night, they hosted the Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms group. We had only expected 15 women to attend, but 25 women ended up coming. The owners and the staff were AMAZING. They brought over additional chairs. They provided us with top-notch service, including separate checks. They respected us when we were speaking to the group and quietly took orders in the background. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant.“

“How crazy is this. Going to Sunset Foods I saw this sign in the window of a storefront to the West. Fortunately I found BRIGHT BOWLS owned and operated by a Highland Parker named Lindsay. I can’t describe the ambiance and wonderful products. You need to experience on your own. My favorite so far is the LoveABowl. Enjoy on site or to go. Get Bright Butter, Bright Granola and Bright Smiles. Tell the staff Larry sent you. Hmmmm“

“We traveled quite a ways to eat here since it is considered by many to be a great old school Chicago restaurant. We went for lunch and it was very quiet inside when we arrived. My kid commented that all the songs that were playing were on her playlist so she was thrilled. She had the sweet and sour chicken and I had the Kung Pao beef. Both were really good and the portions were huge. The meals came with egg drop soup which was excellent and then we also had spring rolls which were very large and really good. Service was very good and the food was reasonably priced. I do wish they still had the old neon sign out front.“

“What a great lunch after a trip to the Botanic Garden! The double brisket burger was everything a previous review raved about. The mango habanero wings and sweet potato fries were also delightful. We sat outside to eat. Not sure where you would go on less nice days. This is a carry out place with self order on the Ipad.“

“I was visiting my daughter and she ordered take out from Ruby of Siam. The order was ready on-time and the staff was very pleasant and efficient. I was pleasently surprised on how delicious the food was. She ordered 5 entrees from here and All of the dishes were outstanding. This was one of the best Thai restaurants I ever have ordered from. It is a must try if you are in the Highland Park area.“

“Lou's pizza is always amazing everywhere, but this specific location really stood out. They were on time with my take out order, someone helped me carry the large order to my car, and most of all, the manager went all out to make things right when there was an issue. Great food and great staff.“
