“October Cafe is by far the best coffee shop around Chicagoland…. If you have not tried it you are missing out. The coffee flights change and always come with a wonderful theme. The owners are friendly wonderful strong women who show so much compassion for the community. I am blessed to have found this cafe, as a place that is relaxing and cozy and feels like home. The baristas ring a bell and announce your flight and bring you your meal and drinks if you dine in. So wonderful! “Deserves more than 5 stars! WONDERFUL experience each time I come here. Everything made from scratch. Not just pierogi ---Gelato, soups, empanadas, tamales, pizza pie (takes 50 mins to make from scratch and worth it!!) Premium Belgium chocolates, shakes, Coffee and most recent.....160 (yes one hundred and sixty) different premium teas from around the world!!.....and more to come! They also own the tea room and book store next to the cafe. Owners are THE BEST! Welcoming, personable and humorous. Dinning outside available and pups are welcome! “I usually order a matcha iced latte with banana syrup. The woman with the pink hair makes my drinks and she’s very friendly. Today, there was a new face and I overheard that he’s worked there for months. What threw me off was how he kept wiping his nose and running his hands through his hair while taking orders, then making drinks and serving food. My coffee tasted warm (I ordered a banana iced latte with cf). So I ordered a matcha to make up for it, but the drink itself was overly sweet and way too milky compared to the past drinks I’ve ordered. Maybe it was just a bad day, but overall it’s been decent.“

“We read about Joe Doughnut Itasca and thought we would give it a try…pulled up to a Shell gas station?!? Wow we were pleasantly surprised. Can’t begin to say enough good things about this place…not gas station food, custom fresh made to your liking off their full menu. Doughnuts were great, flapjacks were outstanding. Great variety of coffee products - regular, cold brew, lattes etc. The staff were warm and friendly, making you feel at home and explaining the menu to you. “Great spot for coworking, read a book, or playing board games. Their lattes are wonderful and love the baristas. Make your beverages with so much attention and love. The latte art is amazing too !!

I got their pumpkin spice latte. It was different from other places as it is not just made with the pumpkin spice “spices” but also with pumpkin puree. And I loved that they are intentional about their food and beverages.

“I visit Chicago every year for NYE and Weston’s has become a familiar favorite of mine year after year. I love that the lavender lattes are year-round, absolutely scrumptious pastries, friendly staff, and the environment is comfortable. Earlier this month before heading out, I went to purchase a sweatshirt but they didn’t have any in store in my size. Nick, the owner, went above and beyond offering to meet up beforehand, but I just didn’t have time-so he shipped it. “Brewpoint is a gem in the Western suburbs of Chicago. I am entirely blessed to live blocks from their craft location on York. Exposed brick, chandeliers, and a plant wall surrounds you - a grateful reprieve from cookie cutter Starbucks decor. Coffee, matcha, and baked goods are top notch (haven't tried cocktails or charcuterie yet). A wonderful mix of professionals, college students, community organizers, and socially conscious suburban moms escaping the kids (I'm sure I'm missing wonderful others). Sometimes I'm not sure how I manage to keep living in the suburbs when the city is still home for me after 10 years in Elmhurst, but Brewpoint certainly makes it easier.“
