“I saw the Choula and Lime ad on social media and came into to have a Philly cheesesteak with that flavoring. Jack who was working during the freezing weather conditions let me know it was only used for a wings rub but said he could try to make it as a cheese steak by mixing butter instead! He was very friendly and accommodating, willing to go above and beyond to help me. They were also closing soon and I was going to take my meal to go but he insisted that my partner and i dined in so the food stayed warm. Absolutely made my night because I got exactly what I wanted and it was a delicious cheesesteak!“

“I’ve been eager to try Mortadeli since it first opened, and after hearing so many rave reviews, I finally had the chance to stop by for lunch yesterday. Let me tell you, everything everyone says about this place is spot on! First off, the food is absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is so tempting, it was hard to choose, but I went with the meatball sub and pasta salad. As someone whose grandmother made the best meatball sandwiches, my expectations were high – but Mortadeli’s version did not disappoint! It was fantastic. The pasta salad was also amazing, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere at Mortadeli is incredibly inviting – it strikes the perfect balance between classy and cozy. The staff are very friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about making your experience special. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff and quick delivery of our food. One of the owners even took the time to chat with us a bit. Another pleasant surprise was the parking – I had my doubts at first, but we found a spot just around the corner with no problem at all. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I’ll definitely be back. Mortadeli is a must-visit!“

“Got the tuna sandwich and it was INCREDIBLE. I'm not much of a sandwich person (or even a meat/cold cut person) but when I tell you both of our sandwiches from here were delicious. They don't skimp on ingredients either; we got the medium size and we will both have half leftover for another meal. The oil & vinegar combo they put on is so good.
It's a small thing, but they also wrapped our sandwiches in this really cute paper which made everything even more delightful.

When I do, it’s usually because the service/company was so disappointingly bad or the other end of that spectrum, which is absolutely superior - service/experience. This will be the latter. What an awesome experience. The food was great and the store was very clean. But what really set this Subway branch apart are the staff or perhaps the owners (not so sure) who took care of me and my mom. “Sure! I had an amazing experience at Mr. Submarine at 8542 Ogden Ave in Lyons, IL. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, friendly service that made me feel truly welcomed. The staff was attentive, polite, and eager to make sure I had everything I needed, which really stood out.

I ordered a combo sub and a pizza puff, and I have to say, it was exactly what I needed. The food came out fast and fresh, which was a relief since it was the first thing I had eaten all day. The combo sub was packed with flavor, with perfectly sliced meats, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of seasoning. “The food is tasty but I was shocked by the quantity of meat in my gyros plate. It was just a gyros sandwich in a container with fries and fixings. Everywhere else I get a gyros plate it has enough meat for 2 or 3 sandwiches.the subs seemed to be lacking meat as well. Again first time getting it there and was just surprised.“

“Asked for "everything except no mayo" on my sandwich. Poor lady started by putting mayo on it (probably out of habit since most folks want mayo) before realizing her mistake - even before I did. She apologized profusely and had them remake me a sandwich. It was literally the most minor inconvenience in the world that cost me a whopping 2 minutes of added wait time, but they still snuck a free chocolate chip cookie in my bag. Completely unnecessary but much appreciated! Yay for people who actually care about their customers (even though, again, in this case, it barely even qualified as an inconvenience to me, lol). The blonde tall guy with blue eyes who works the front counter has always been hella nice to me ever since i first stepped foot in there, and he's not too bad on the eyes as well, which is a plus ;) I wouldnt mind taking him for a ride on my Ninja 400 some time and maybe taking a trip to another Jimmy Johns store for food! But the guy working there was really nice, he took my order without any attitude, and prepared everything fresh just like it was the middle of the day. The layout of the store is very appealing, and the fact of a 24-hour Subway inside a gas station/mini-mart on a busy corner in a hotel zone with neighborhoods nearby makes the place indispensable. “Mr. Sub has always been my favorite! Whenever people ask me why, I can never quite put my finger on it—I just say it’s simply the best. Over the years, I’ve rarely lived close enough to make it a regular stop, but it’s always been worth the drive.

When I was pregnant with my son 35 years ago, I craved submarine sandwiches constantly. Back then, I’d make the trip from Woodridge out to the Berwyn/Cicero or Brookfield locations just to satisfy that craving.

These days, if I’m anywhere near a Mr Submarine, I make it a point to stop. After all this time, my order hasn’t changed: a King size Mr. Sub sandwich (I save the other 1/2 for lunch the next day). The only difference now is I’ve added the garlic-parm fries to the mix—they’re so good we usually eat them in the car on the way back home to Sycamore.

The only thing I would change is to have a location in Sycamore, IL!

“I tried Charleys Philly Steaks for a second time. First time I had their wings. Today, I decided to try their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Normally I give a review on the food. Today, I want to highlight an example of Customer Service at its best. As I was waking to my table, I tripped and my food ended up on the floor. Initially, I was hesitant to ask for a replacement. I went ahead and did it anyways. The worker that took my initial order listened to my misfortune and, without hesitation, took care of me. No fuss, no negative expression, no additional explanation. He just took care of it. He provided a fresh sandwich and fresh fries. Mind you, he was already attentive and had a positive attitude with customers before me. Oh and my initial order was ready within 5 minutes. The staff is fast. Some can say or argue that the customer is always right but I do feel that a customer is right within reason. Charleys is inside the mall within the food court. The food court is well maintained and clean. If you happen to be shopping and consider a bite to eat, check out Charleys.“
