“#81/2023So I've had numerous sandwiches from here I'm surprised over the years I never dropped a review.No need for a giant one it's like any other Jimmy John's although a few things kind of disgruntled me I found out on this last visit here on the 15th of December 2023Corporate office has decided to eliminate some of my favorite mustards the Jimmy mustard and the Gray Poupon dijon mustard ®™and they're just going to have the regular old yellow mustard whoppee:⁠-⁠(We'll see what happens there when I like to get my roast beefs. It doesn't really change though cuz I don't put mustard on the turkey toms when I do like the turkey or the Italian ones I go with the vinegar and the oil.But I came in order the number for the Turkey Tom the bread was nice and fresh along with the lettuce tomato and Mayo I added cheese like I usually do. Other than that I got combo w thinny chips which are still available in my local market and I had a Diet Coke and ate in there.So most of these like a lot of Yelp vs Google/trip advisor places are not very current reviews.So even though my four stars because this is definitely above average to me not average probably won't swing the bar too much but I did my partThis is still one of the better ones as far as quality and my opinion with about five within a equal driving distance other than this one by my house the other ones are about 15 minutes away any direction.“

“I drive all the way from Darien to get there sandwich. Started going there 45 years ago and then I moved and came back and the original location was closed and I thought that was it. About 5 years ago while on Facebook I saw and add for Peppo’s. I was thrilled to know that they simply moved. Best sub sandwich you will find. I love subs and no one beats peppos“

“Decided to try this place for the first time ever after living out this way for over 20 years and disappointed in myself for not going sooner! Delicious half Greek chicken meal that took me by surprise! Absolutely juicy and flavorful! Would recommend to anyone! We have also tried the pizza puff and hamburger which didn’t disappoint either! The hamburgers are nice thin patties just the way I like so if you prefer a little more meat get a double patty! The staff is always pleasant and welcoming!“

“While not my usual selection, I ordered the Italian beef dry with juice on the side. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sandwich and the generous amount of beef packed into it. The side of juice was fine for someone like me who doesn't was a soaked beef. With the side of fries and drink it is a sandwich meal that satisfies. The employees are courteous and efficient.“

“This is a great dining and go restaurant. There are so many different selections for pretty much anyone. They had gyros and sub sandwiches hamburgers and hotdogs, chicken and salad. Lots to choose from. There is seating inside and plenty of parking easy to get in and off of the restaurant from route 45.“

“Ordered catering from Darla’s this weekend for my college graduation party. Went in a few weeks prior to try the sandwiches since I had never had them before and the staff was super nice, even gave me free samples of their salads to try along with my sandwich orders. Since the sandwiches were so good, we decided to go with them for our party. Our order was on time and exactly as we’d asked. They also provided us with mustard and mayo packets and “The Goods” on the side in convenient serving packages. The pricing is also extremely competitive. They are much cheaper than popular chain sandwich places’ catering options which shocked me since it is a small local business. “I didn’t think I’d like my order, but I took a leap of faith anyway. The Phillywich Super 14” was my order and it was absolutely delicious. The garlic sauce truly topped it off for me! The steak and mushrooms were grilled to perfection! The bread was excellent. I ordered the sandwich with caramelized onions,green peppers and pepper jack cheese to boot. I will surely order from them again. If you like Philly cheese steak sandwiches, you won’t be disappointed. The sandwich was good and hot upon delivery. I’m going to treat myself to another lunch from them real soon.“

“This is the best subway in the area by far! I was having a pretty terrible day and subway has always been my feel better sandwich and the staff was friendly, offered suggestions and even gave me a free cookie! I won’t go to any other subway around, this is the one!“

“2024 update: chili cheese fries are still amazing but they're giving you a little less while charging a little more. Very sad because this used to be an amazing deal.Torpedo still goated sub, best there is. Feels bad spending like 15$ on the king size tho. Still love it.One time gf asked for chili cheese fries but they gave us normal fries. when she went back in to get an exchange the guy told her he doesn't remember her ordering chili cheese fries. In the end she still got the replacement but I wanted to include this. Still, I've had really friendly interactions here despite this. Id rate sub city a 3.5 out of 5.Review from 2020:Love the torpedo, always my go to sub. Chili cheese fries are so gud. Considering the price, burgers are pretty good. Like the Italian beef, friend enjoyed their gyros. Love this place, especially since this is basically the only food joint open late in the area“
